I'm 39 and told im having my mid life crisis cuz I randomly decided to get my motorcycle license and now getting a Rogue. It was like a lightswitch ill admit cuz I never once thought about riding a motorcycle until like 2 months ago and it just popped into my head. I'm very excited about this new phase of my life. I think watching my Dad get sick and fight cancer just hit me real hard and made me put life into perspective and I thought I need to start living more while I still can. Anyways I love the Rogue and it really sings to me so I chose it. Please keep my father in your prayers if ya'll don't mind. Thank you and safe riding!
I'm so pumped I just bought smoke black rogues and couldn't ride it cus it was raining here in California yesterday. Only 8 miles fresh tires and wet ground definitely won't take that risk lol can't wait pick her up next Friday I'm Soo excited. As now my anxiety goes up to the roof and let's goooo already!
I just got a 2024 Scout Bobber and before I even picked it up I had them put 10" Apes, Comfort + seat, Smoked Signals and Vance and Hines. Basically a Rogue without the fairing and 19" front wheel. Which is exactly what I wanted. :) Beautiful Rogue btw.
Thanks for the content! I just got my 2023 scout Rouge and I chose it over the regular scout cause when I sat on it the syndicate seat, the 19 inch front wheel and the mini apes is what got me. its a great bike! I went from learning how to ride on a 2021 honda monkey to the scout Rouge in comparison the scout is a rocket! A few people said the scout was going to be to much power but it wasn't and I got used to the power and the bike itself very quickly. Like I said it's a great bike and when I get off of it and look back at it I think to myself damn that's my bike
It's a great looking bike for sure. Definitely a rocket compared to the monkey. Great to hear you were able to transition to the bigger bike with ease. Some people need to slowly work their way up and others just jump right in. Please tell Jenny Summers I said hi 😂
I love the peel-away... fully knowing you had to come back and get the go-pro right after 😆the joys of moto-vlogging and reviews. Great review and out of the Harley vs Indian debate.. I am Indian nearly 100%... I do like a few of the newer Harley bikes, where they acknowledge technology... but for cruisers and baggers, Indian.
Thanks Adam. Yea every time I ride away from the camera I'm hoping it's still there when I come back. I had a Sportster 883 in 2003. That was my first bike so I didn't have much to go on with respect to comparing models.I love the Rogue but wish there were more aftermarket options like the Harleys. This is my first Indian though and it's great. I'm a fan. Thanks for watching.
Great video! I have the 19 Scout Bobber Icon in blue. Love it. The stock "comfort" seat is harsh lol. The Syndicate solo seat from the Rogue will work on the regular bobber, my dealer swapped them to try it out, but I couldn't keep it lol. They're great bikes and I want a Rogue so bad now lol
I bought a rogue. Rotate your bars back a little. It lets you sit up right and gives you more control over your steering. completely changes the feel of the bike in a major way and it feels so damn good.
Thanks. Already did. I agree it made a difference. Really love the way this bike handles. Especially after upgrading the rear suspension. Thanks for watching.
I just bought a rogue 60 in black metallic- already stage 1’ed it and did some ergonomic adjustments for my 6’2 height Recommend the Joker machine moto race pegs, for your cornering- I personally don’t lay it down too much and went with the bear trap mini floor boards for comfort Super fun bike and hauls the mail just fine after the tune Congrats on your bike-
Thanks. Same to you. I just put Joker Machine pegs on it last week. I went with the bear trap boards as well It definitely helps with cornering but I’m in it for the comfort as well.
I keep thinking of things that I've done to my bike I also drilled out the first baffle in the exhaust and it made it sound much deeper and a little bit louder. Some people have drilled all the way to the second baffle I didn't want to do that. It sounds great now I was going to get aftermarket exhaust but I'm totally happy the way it sounds just wish there a little bit lighter
I got the same bike I definitely had to get the piggyback shocks they were expensive but made the bike feel like a different bike completely. I'm an old guy too and those stock shocks killed my back. I ended up going with a Memphis shade fairing and 17 in vented screen and I love it. I got the same bag as you I love that. And I got a mustang seat with backrest didn't fit perfectly on the back but it does fit. Trying to side now if I want to get a rear rack or a seat my wife but she's not sure if she wants to ride yet. Do love the bike though plenty of power and fun to ride. Congrats on the new wheels
Thanks I've been looking at the Memphis shade fairing as well. I ended up with the Progressive 444s and they made a huge difference. I also ordered new seats. I went with the Saddlemen Renegade rider and passenger seats. When they come in I'll make a video about it.
Excellent choice Sir! I bought a Bobber and I definitely agree with you about the leaning. The apes should be my next upgrade but they come at a steep price 😮. Enjoy the ride👊
Thanks. I will say the apes only made a slight difference in lean to me but the riding position is more comfortable. I’ve read that extending the clutch and brake cables is a little bit of a pain. But I think the mini apes work with the cables from the shorter bars. Don’t quote me on that though 😀
Oh I also got the reduced reach handlebars and tilton them back a little bit more. I wasn't a huge fan of the mini apes I was still leaning more forward than I liked
Great video! i bought my "regular" Scout back in Oct 2020. I thought i wanted the Bobber as well. Very happy with my purchase . i put some progressive 444s on it as well! Went to a Rogue test ride event last summer, and if that bike was available when I bought mine - I would've bought the Rogue as well! Take it easy! looking forward to more Rogue content!
Mister Sid - Thanks for watching the video. So far I'm happy with it but I'm sure I'd say the same thing about a Bobber or full Scout. They all seem to be great bikes. This is my first Indian and I'm really happy with it aside from the things that you need to change right away to make it more comfortable. Other than that I'm excited to join the tribe, so to speak.
Also, look into HIghsider stealth mirrors. They are longer on one end, so you can swing them under, but have them extend INWARD, and then your elbows won't block the entire mirror. That's my next purchase.
Just wish they gave it a little bit more ground clearance, a better suspension to smooth out the ride. And a more throaty sound from the exhaust. I will be going to the Indian dealership in Charlotte to take a test ride on the rogue and a possible purchase.
Nice looking bike I would lose the exhaust and get it louder exhaust a few other things maybe a bigger tire on the back but it looks nice though three days ago my wife and I were sitting around having a beer and my wife said wanted to get one so I’m going to get one
Nice video. I have a 2021 regular Scout. Never get tired of riding it although my 66 yr. old butt complains now and then. Would you say the new shocks greatly improved ride, or did you not have much time on OEM shocks? Thanks
Thanks Mike. I only had about 60 miles on the OEM suspension. I rode it on the same bumpy road before and after and there was a noticeable difference for sure. I't still a little stiff compared to other bikes I've had but much better than OEM in my opinion.
I just purchased a Rogue and I am new to motorcycles. Was this 100 dollar Viking bag easy to install, and did it come with all hardware. Or did you have to "drill" as my dealer told me I would have to? Love the video. Thanks for your time.
I didn't really get a chance to ride the Bobber on the twisties during the test ride so the handling was similar. I did feel more comfortable weaving on the Rogue but I don't know if it was the difference in the handlebars or wheels or both. I've read that the slimmer tire makes a difference and lightens handling which makes sence. I'm not sure if the larger diameter really makes much of a difference on the road.

Happy with $600 aftermarket shocks, lol. Tired of these companies selling expensive bikes with shitty seats and suspension. Bike plus tax out the door, and another $3k for shocks, a seat and exhaust system? How is it that we find this acceptable?
Haha Yea, happy with the aftermarket shocks - not happy I had to pay an additional 600 for comfort. I agree cheaping out on things that affect the ride is a shitty and I guess it's acceptable because people are still buying these bikes. I'm guilty of that obviously. Manufactures sacrificing comfort for profits shows to me there is a lack of focus on customer satisfaction which would attribute to lower sales and lack of brand loyalty. If it's all about the ride then make it a good ride. I'm all for adding accessories to make it your own but having to modify the bike because it's a rough ride is ridiculous. I can say the same thing for the cheap OEM batteries companies install on their new bikes. Without a battery tender they don't last more than a year in a lot of cases. Thanks for the comments and watching the video.
I’m aware everything is interchangeable in these bikes with subtle trim differences but I prefer the larger low profile front wheel that made the handling feel better to me. So I decided to buy the one that had the trim package I prefer already instead of buying the bobber and turning into a Rogue. Either bike is an excellent choice though. Thanks for watching.
I didn’t see that same bag for the other side but it probably exists. One is enough for now. It’ll help me only pack what I need. I’m sure I’ll end up with matching quick release bags at some point in the future.
I'm not really THAT old but I've spent most of my career behind a computer. So my back isn't in the best of shape. I could've just added mini apes to a Bobber to make it more comfortable for me but I like the larger diameter tire on the Rogue and it already comes with mini apes.
