Retro hot hatches are awesome and this is the ultimate in eco friendly recycling!. Today’s car design is quite homogenous in this category they could learn something from this design.
Is it weird if my favourite part is watching the shampoo go on...? Love the track, love the car & old school engineering. In the old 911 vs new 911 film we did on DRIVE TRIBE, the new Porsche took a big dump on my older 997 Turbo. I'm not so sure the same would happen with the Lancia - but then again hot hatch tech has evolved a lot too. But I still prefer this era if for no other reason than the leather seats make you feel like a rock star. And the crackle from the Lancia engine just makes you smile. here's the 911 showdown over on DT ua-cam.com/video/Qc7FpaTEAyY/v-deo.html
It's a, smiles for miles car. Watching her, I mean it. Get lathered up, is not just a, you thing. We are of a similar age and continuation. I'm envious of, and pleased for you. At the same time. Cracking car, well done. Not sure how it would hold up against the "modern" Scooby or FQ. That said. It would be interesting to see!
Hoi Ben, get a new editor. Accelerating sound while braking into a corner. Going flat out on the straight with the sound of braking into a corner. This incongruence between what we see and what we hear hurts the brain. Very nervous drone shorts totally don't work, especially when the engine sound is different to what you see. Maybe ask Chris Harris for the name of his editor. This is unwatchable. Same mistakes as your latest Ferrari vid. I think this is a shame because you have good content.
@@BenCollinsDrives I think a video up against a GR Yaris ( you driving both) would be good to see, currently own a GR, fantastic cars, be interesting to see the results as they seem closely matched
Fabulous Lancia,my best friend had a Lancia HF Martini turbo in the early 90's . Was a fantastic car ,felt quick for it's day . When the bodyshell gave up he put the engine into a Westfield 7 ,omg the acceleration was insane with the power to weight ratio. super video Ben , loved watching it.
For most of us watching this video Lancia Delta integrale is our childhood dream car!!!Thank you very much for the content!!!Absolutely enjoyed it!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The car looks sensational, Ben. The metallic black with anthracite wheels is the perfect stealthy spec. Still an absolute machine all these years later. My first memory of an Integrale was when I was ten years old, living in a very rural part of the Peak District. We lived on a twisty single track lane with plenty of little bumps and changes in camber. One day a grey Integrale came screaming past the house followed by a loud clatter and bang. I just remember walking up the road to be met by an Integrale, very slowly spinning on its roof in the middle of the lane, with a guy climbing out the window. That's a wild sight for a young lad and I've loved them ever since!
Listening to the Stig, the O.G. Ben Collins himself thrashing the arse of this poor innocent Delta fresh from a complete restoration and newly built engine, instantly diagnosing the problems and deciding the solutions was a very satisfying experience I must say
Yes , Lancia means High Fidelity ! I had 3 Beta , one Fulvia , a A112 and a Delta . It was 20 years ago but I am still faithful to the brand . Your Integrale is superb in all the ways !
Dear Ben. I've been a massive car and bike fan all my life, adored watching you work on T.G and now your own channel. I'm a big fan of rally from back in the day (52 now, how time flies!) and did a rally course in Wales years ago. So, I think you can guess what's coming next! The Lancia Delta, the 037, Audi Quattro, Toyota Celica, Subaru Impreza (was lucky enough to be super close to the courses back in those day and saw Colin, Carlos and other rally gods racing a good few times in the UK, Wales etc) Mitsi' Evo of the 80's and 90's. Of course, including today's seemingly physics defying rally cars! However, I've always wanted to drive the beauty that you've got here, and what a colour! I can't wait to see the final results and track day with all the set up finished and maybe see a little bit of drifting from that gorgeous car?! Really pleased I found your channel, and I'll be going through all your incredible videos. I must say that the audio wasn't great, so a closer mic' when reporting in the cars would be superb, as I don't like to miss a thing regarding your comments on the vehicles. Thanks for all the entertainment as 'The Stig', truly a phenomenal driver. Speaking of phenomenal drivers. May I be so bold, as to ask you to have a quick look at my friends son's UA-cam Channel who I've personally known since he was about 5 or 6yrs old. He's a truly great young driver, who has just got sponsored and his track day at Spa blew my mind, I hope it does for you too! To me his lines are sublime and his talent is yet to be truly discovered. On his first times racing on UK circuits the marshals took his car apart twice, as they thought he was cheating, he was that good as a complete novice. They found that is was just his natural talent! Love the channel, so I'm going to go back to watching more of your superb videos. Kind regards Wendy www.youtube.com/@dalewherton14 - His channel. Track Day at Spa, that blew my mind. ua-cam.com/video/_of1oY2yMks/v-deo.html
My father had a Lancia in the mid 50’s before I could appreciate it, he then moved on to a Humber Super snipe, I remember it as a huge lumbering beauty after the Lancia. Memories……… . 🦘👍🏼🇦🇺
It is a pleasure to watch Ben put such an awesome car through it's paces on the track. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. This one, and the video when Ben took the Atom around the TG track and wrung every last ounce of performance out of it. Both are in my favourites list.
If I had the money, that’s what I would buy .Thanks Ben for your insight on the Lancia ,I have adored since sitting in one in the Paris car show in 1990!
I used to live on the edge of the Pembrey circuit until I moved to London in '86. Its improved a lot obviously, it used to be dead flat and the suface was in 20m poured sections. Subtle groundworks have raised banking now which gives you a clue where the next corner is. Those RAF nutters dive down below the tree line to repeatedly do practice attack runs. Lovely little car Ben don't let Hammond wreck it😁😁
one of my favourite cars ever, looks amazing. One of the reasons i purchased an Ioniq 5 actually, the only modern car that is somewhat a throwback to this visually. Epic... id trade a kidney for one of these though.
Great car Ben, it’s great to see someone like yourself get so much pleasure driving it. It must be something special to tick all your boxes! Put it up against an early Sti RA Impreza next! Let’s stay “ old school “
Love what you've done to your Lancia Delta integrale Evo Ben! I own a 16v Delta integrale and recently did a restoration myself, full respray, interior repairs where needed etc etc. Engine rebuilt by Walkers (still running in!) I'm assuming TB gave you a discount for all the publicity your giving them, because all the items you have had done cost a fortune! Have you already or are you going to tell us the total outlay? Love your videos, you somehow manage to still exude the excitement of a schoolboy, out for his furst fast drive, even though you've driven so many great cars! Thank you and keep up the great work!
Hi Ben, it may be worth getting it PPF’d it would at least mean you could get it on some dirt and have peace of mind that lovely paintwork isn’t being touched.
Glorious car -absolutely stunning well done Ben & team - personally my favourite car of similar type would be the Escort RS Cosworth- I’d love to do a similar project one day
When I was a kid my neighbor had a red one that I rode my bike past everyday on my way to the bus stop, I always gave it a good look over. Never saw it move or run though!
A stunning looking car, Tanc is the only man to go for if you are lucky enough to own one. I'd be interested to know what it's cost to get it to that level, whatever it was I'm sure it's worth every penny. 😁👌 Take it to Oulton Park but don't let Matt drive it! 🛑
Exactly what I want to see is you being a hooligan in a Delta. Beautiful car that it is. Inline with you trying out gaming. My Delta in Gran Turismo 7 is more than a touch over a 1000 break lol. I’m having abit more trouble with it then you’ve had in yours

Well, Ben....i'd love to drive it over some Welsh roads, not hammering it but enjoying from the point of view of loving these without ever having driven one. I'd give you a proper review having come from 205 GTi's and 172/182 Cups. If you don't want me then I suggest Henry Catchpole or Steve Sutcliffe.
