As good as they are, they are even better live. Their music and theatrics transition so well to in-person shows. I've seen them live twice, and I can confidently say they are the best live show I've seen.
Makes sense. They put on a great show in their music videos, so we assume their live shows would focus on the element of theatrics. We've seen some live footage from them, but have not reacted to a live song of theirs as yet. Maybe in the next episode we cover the band... Thank you fo viewing and engaging. Much appreciated! 🙏
I guess you're familiar with the Book of revelation😊. - And I saw, and behold a white horse: All the ghouls in this video are played by the same person, Tobias👍. More economical and faster 😁
@@johanzander5919 Revelation was the first thing that came to mind... Great song, great music video! Thank you fo viewing and engaging. Much appreciated! 🙏
In terms of a good story, the music video for “Jesus he knows me” by ghost is awesome! Hope you get to enjoy it one day :) Thank you guys for everything!
If it is the singer or not, there was a classical trained ballett dancer involved. There were some distinctive moves. The second song with rats after Porcupine Tree. I wished I knew another song with rats but I don’t. Otherwise I would suggest it.
Having two consecutive "Rat songs" was a happy coincidence, which was done on purpose... if you know what I (Itai) mean. Lol. Not sure if Tobias is trained in ballet or if it was him doing the dancing, but it looked really good and made the concept of the clip somewhat beautifully bizarre. It kind of gave me a feeling similar to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' but in smaller scale. As always, great to hear from you, Andrea! Thank you fo viewing and engaging. We appreciate you! 🙏
@@myindieprodentertainment Tobias did some of the dancing but for the more difficult moves it was someone else. He said in an interview that if he could dance like that he wouldn't be doing this rock nonsense and have a real job like that guy, lol.
@@lorireynolds3540 LOL! Nice! Thank you for the info, we and others have been wondering about that... Thank you for viewing and engaging, Lori. Much appreciated! 🙏
Ghost is my favorite band, but if you want another band to check out that's actually from Texas, you should check out Nothing More. For a chaotic track, Turn It Up Like (Stand in the Fire), but I would probably recommend Tired of Winning/Ships in the Night. I'm going to agree with everyone else, the next Ghost song you should check out immediately follows Rats, and that would be Faith.
Yes, Asaf is Israeli and I (Itai) am Israeli-Australian. We discuss that in earlier episodes. It makes it tough to record episodes from separate parts of the world, but we've been having a lot of fun making this show. We hope you enjoy it! 🙂
This is a reaction, not a review. It is exactly how music video reactions are done. You can check other reaction videos to see. The full purpose is to see how reactors respond to the material and pause to express thoughts, etc. If we waited to the end, we might forget what we had to say, as this is most often a first-time viewing. If the purpose was for the audience to watch the music video, they can do that separately and just watch the music video, which is available freely on UA-cam. If it was a review, there would be a specific need to play the music video at all. We literally HAVE TO pause and comment as we go, otherwise, copyright claims would become blocks every time and we would not be able to do this at all. I hope you know the difference...

Live is no bullshit almost a religious experience. They don't call their shows "RITUALS" for nothing.
This band is so good, creative and fun. They should be huge!
They are fairly huge, as far as we know, but we assume you mean they should be even bigger! And you're not wrong! 👍
In my opinion, you should check Faith after thisone. Faith follows this song in the album and they blend to itch other so damn well.

Rats come from the Prequelle album, which is about the plague or Black Death (I think). Like most Ghost songs, it has more than one meaning!
The mask is actually based off of the likeness of Vincent price
Apparently it has been speculated as to that, though Tobias Forge himself says that it is a "mix of Dracula and Jacques Clouseau".
Tobias is definitely a fan of Vincent Price and yes I certainly see that in Papa IV especially

Ben by Michael Jackson is your third rat song.
He brought in a dancer for some of it. This is based on the Black Plague. The whole album to some degree

Stop pausing the video and comment when it’s done. It’s so irritating when reviewers do that.
