My 1st Ritual in Chicago 8/15 this year. It was the most amazing concert ever. Ghost is Tobias Forge. He has studio musicians and tour musicians. They're doing arenas. Impera cycle just ended. Their 5th album. Rats is from their 4th. Based off the Black plague. There's a different character for each album. Tobias sings through a full on silicone mask. His character for Rats is Cardinal Copia. There is all kinds of backstory and lore with this band. All created by Tobias. He's the main architect for everything Ghost.
Prequelle is a theme album based on the black plague. Rats was a big part of that disease but the song also has a deeper meaning. Cause we all got rats in our life. People that go behind your back or people that keeps coming after you. So there are a lot more to discover if you really take time and analyse the song. I must give you a little warning before you go on because if you go down the Ghost rabbit hole there is no going back. Cause there is not a bad song out there and in the end you will be totally obsessed. If you want a live song try Mary on a cross live in Tampa.
Saw them in Vegas 2018. Great show, fans are a little out there but they can definitely jam and have some of the coolest riffs out there. Recommend Square Hammer and Cirice.
Ghost are (as we speak) taking over the throne of being one of the biggest bands on this planet, sold out everywhere .. and we talking arenas ! Pure facts 🤘🤘🤘
They would love to hear your assessment of them as 80s arena rock because that’s exactly what they’re going for. Ghost’s first 2 albums were much more traditional “metal”, but according to Tobias Forge the goal was always to find a way to fuse metal, pop, and rock all together. That’s why he counts ABBA among his biggest influences, among a number of well-known metal bands.
I met you guys reacting to one of my favorite songs of all time, which is Something About Us by Daft Punk. And I loved all the reaction about Interstella 5555. Now it's time to see you react to my favorite band of the last few years haha, that's great.
Ghost are definitely mining the 80's with this track. Ratt/Dio/Ozzy main riff. I think the chorus sounds like Queen "Flash" a bit. Ghost are "metal" in the 70's/80's mold. The lyrics and outfits are closer to the death metal scene. Above all, Ghost knows how to write excellent, catchy and fun songs.
Ghost.... every song is DIFFERENT - if you do any more, prepare to be surprised. Each one is almost a different sub-genre within the rock genre, ranging from satanic doom metal to '80s-style arena rock to prog rock to pop/rock, but a crazy catchiness thrown into all the songs, even the heaviest ones. And the lyrics are deep, deep. It's very difficult to find a bad song in their catalogue. And actually, Ghost is one man's vision, rather than a traditional band...
In the video, the singer tobias actually is playing all the roles so that the video could be put out. It was right after the lawsuit so it was only him. So thats him playing drums, keys, guitar and bass on top of singing. Dude is insanely talented. Its not black metal but thats his roots with his old band repugnant, you can hear some of those vocals come out on mummy dust.
This song is off prequelle and is about the plague with maybe a dig at the former members of the band who took Tobias Forge to court to claim he never paid them enough but they were hired musicians rather than equal members as Tobias writes nearly all the stuff. This case was why Tobias was revealed as no one really knew what he looked like before
I'm not sure which was more entertaining, the video or the three of you going hilariously off-topic. (I'm giving you guys the edge, though. ;)) You always manage to brighten my day--and inform, as well---and for that I sincerely thank you.
James Hetfield from Metallica commented favourably about this band so I checked them out. He was right! So many great tracks and the humourous gimmick is so effective! Bring on the dancing ghouls! Love rats! (?) A mouse in the house is still a mouse unless it's in Scotland - then it's a moose in the hoose!.... Sorry, not sorry. :P A bit of Dio influence in this track, I think - with the guitars. Maybe try "Danse Macabre" by Ghost? Love how your minds go off on tangents - entertaining interactions! The dancing reminds me of Gene Kelly - dancing in the rain.
Gave it a whirl... pretty good musically. The solo was great! The video was a little much. (But know there are scarier ones out there). I was laughing about your discussion on mice and rats! Mice are more than one mouse. In Chicago the rats can get up to the size of a small dog. I fear both!!! Sometimes i get home from work and my door is open, the boys slam it shut but doesn't always latch. Ivyell at the boys - "if there is a mouse in here...". My friends laugh, saying you are not scared of a strange man sitting in your living room? But a mouse sends you over the edge. 😂😂😂 This was an example of you were more entertaining thaan the song. ❤
First place I think of about rats is Mississippi swamp rats..........oh, my...........a squirrel is a rodent, a rat is a rodent, a mole is a rodent.........rat is NOT mouse........but, rat IS rodent and so is mouses/mice/meese/etc
I love this song but it's been a struggle to become a Ghost fan. I like several songs from their latest album but I too find his voice to be very plain. It lacks character, especially for the more metalish songs.
No offense to the dude in the middle but you're wrong. Hard Rock and metal is close but there is differences there's a cutoff in between. They use downward Strokes and Distortion levels not overdrive that is clearly metal. The leads are metal as well. The closing part even Ventures into thrash metal. because of the type of cords. AC DC is Hard Rock.
devil worship or anti God is their shtick, love the music but that bugs me, I guess I really don't need that energy...as long as it is like halloween goofy stuff that's fine, plenty of other good bands have done that
Never heard the song before and have never heard of the group. I also got a very 80’s feel from it. It felt 80’s hair bandish to me. Which I seriously don’t like. But I really liked this song. His voice isn’t the best and I don’t know about any of their other songs, but it was okay here. The music was really the star. I could have done without the video. It was just cheesy to me. I thought the song deserved a better video.
Ryan, rats and mice are both rodents but are not the same. Like alligators and crocodiles (which I can’t tell apart). I’m not squeamish about many things but rats do bother me.

More Ghost please, Year Zero, He is, Jesus He Knows Me, Dance macabre, Mary on a cross.

"Faith" would be a good one for you guys to check out next. One of their heavier songs.
"Faith" From a Pale Tour Named Death --AWESOME video!
Make sure it's from A Pale Tour Named Death...
Totally should do more ghost reactions!!! Seen them live for the 1st time a couple weeks ago and the production they do is mind blowing!!!
Saw them in Vegas 2018. Great show, fans are a little out there but they can definitely jam and have some of the coolest riffs out there. Recommend Square Hammer and Cirice.

Rats - Bringers of The Black Death to 14th Century Western Europe (1346 to 1353; aka The Bubonic Plague), so in keeping with the Halloween Theme.
Went to the Detroit show 8/14 this song is about former tour band members being pissed and stuff about there pay ghost is a awesome show
Ghost is awesome! Will always watch Ghost content and attend their “Rituals” when they come to town.
if you want whiplash, listen to Year Zero, He Is, Mummy Dust, and then Mary on a Cross. they can do it all

Famous rats : Remy from Ratatouille, Ben( MJ song), Rizzo and of course the band R.A.T.T.🥴
They are awesome. Albums prequelle and impera are amazing. Impera is a masterpiece

I believe every album covers a different Era of rock/metal
First the song was good but you're banter is really hilarious today...mice, rats, food items it's very entertaining...😂😂😂 I love it!!!💕💕💕

So glad you edited out Ty picking his nose during the intro.

I love your guys’ vibe 😂 Great reaction

His voice reminds me a little like RATT😅

Has nobody really mentioned Cirice yet? Wow... Pls react to it, the song won a Grammy 😊
You gotta do Dance Macabre! My all time favorite song from them!
Do more Ghost...no 2 songs sound the same. Tobias is definitely not monotone. Don't just judge off of one song
The song wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. Those cookies you’re talking about are 🔥
First place I think of about rats is Mississippi swamp rats..........oh, my...........a squirrel is a rodent, a rat is a rodent, a mole is a rodent.........rat is NOT mouse........but, rat IS rodent and so is mouses/mice/meese/etc
MORE GHOST PLZ ❤ HUNTER'S MOON, THAT'S HALLOWEEN IT SELF
There's a movie called Ghoulies.
Ghouleh!
I hope you guys react to more Ghost songs 🤘🏼🥰
Prioulines!!
Didn’t Dave Grohl play on one of their albums?
He produced and played some guitar and percussion on the EP "If You Have Ghost."
Yes. If you have Ghosts. There's pictures of them in the studio
Then it's time to make "Mary on a cross" live reaction
Check out Spillways by Ghost it really good!
Nickelback is Hard Rock ghost is a metal band
I love this song but it's been a struggle to become a Ghost fan. I like several songs from their latest album but I too find his voice to be very plain. It lacks character, especially for the more metalish songs.
I have a question for you. What does the number 502 mean in the channel name?
The area code of Louisville, KY is 502 but it may be a reference to a building, or hot spot.
more Ghost
A passable song, nothing special, but I liked it, spectacular video

Ben
Willard is about rats
Rats are used to detect cancer in africa

devil worship or anti God is their shtick, love the music but that bugs me, I guess I really don't need that energy...as long as it is like halloween goofy stuff that's fine, plenty of other good bands have done that
Ghost is about as evil as Scooby Doo. They do mock the Catholic church a bit, so I can understand how some object to that.
i mean at least they don’t actually worship satan and all that stuff
Never heard the song before and have never heard of the group. I also got a very 80’s feel from it. It felt 80’s hair bandish to me. Which I seriously don’t like. But I really liked this song. I’m not sure about this one. Your reactions make me laugh though 😄🤟
