I'm using 5 Blink outdoor cameras and 1 indoor mini. I have been waiting for this doorbell for years. Finally, there are some good news about it!
Agreed, I have a Ring Doorbell and maintain the subscription solely for that and its annoying since all my other cameras are Blink. I wonder why they developed this and debuted it over 3 years ago but never released it until this version but alas, here we are.

@@Lifewiththeemartinarenee I like it better for a few reasons. I think its a more modern, slimmer looking design. I like the price of $50 compared to the Ring. I like the Blink app WAY better than the ring. I like that I can use standard batteries instead of recharging the internal battery (the Ring took FOREVER to charge). The only two dislikes I have are the mounting plate for security (only uses 2 screws if you live in a high problem area) and the fact that Blink hasnt made an indoor chime yet so you either need to have your phone on you or enable notifications through something like Alexa. All in all I think for the price is pretty darn unbeatable.

Need an official video on replacing batteries. Some videos show a prying motion to remove body from the mounting plate
Does this door bill allow you to speak and here at the same time?
For example if you say some thing and they start replying immediately does it catch that? I know the cameras don’t
One thing Blink has been missing is Critical Notifications.
Why has the company not yet contacted Apple to get “critical alert” entitlement for IOS app?
in the market for a doorbell cam, will wait until reviews hit youtube. Love what blink is doing, really like the solar panel. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for better video quality (HDR) around 30 fps, release this in 2-4 K and its a no brainer. Love the design, idoes this have a pir sensor?
With the return policy I figure it doesn't hurt to try it out myself 😎
Make sure you get the $85 version if you want to access it at any time... The $50 version is only during events
As it says on the product page: Blink Video Doorbell Standalone does not include Sync Module 2. Without a Sync Module, live-view and two-way audio are available only in response to a doorbell press or motion event. With a Sync Module or Sync Module 2 get these features anytime on-demand.
The $85 one comes with the module
Wow, absolutely great catch. I preorder this before they had the SYNC option. Granted I have an extra Sync module but I would assume a lot of other people dont.

If the doorbell triggers motion and you can’t access the live view while recording, what good is it?
I think you can if you have the sync module
I mean, you have no choice but to get the sync module or your cameras won’t work. I seriously doubt it dude. I have blink outside cams
@@saycheese7971 supposedly if you turn on a setting about notifying early then you can see the live view at the same time
The notification jumps you directly to live view by default with the doorbell - at least in my configuration it does (wired doorbell + sync module).
@@JamesAutoDude did you know if you immediately press the notification from blink u will get live view but u won’t when u press close

Attaching the doorbell to the mount is a little difficult but once it locks into place it seems extremely sturdy. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxHZwMa8CsRjYhf9s4W8w0Dwm47uytWOp I replaced my regular doorbell with this and hard wired it in, using my existing wires and mechanical chime. It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa
Why doesn’t the Blink doorbell have the capability to change voltage in the settings like the Ring doorbell to accommodate older homes?
Please include this in the next firmware update!
