I am so glad to have found your section on how to Interrogate the Sketch! Everyone just glosses over that like it’s not a big deal, but even an expert like you took 2 minutes to pin down the problem and fix it. It takes me much much longer. Thanks!
I find these tip extremely helpful as sometimes I do not know why something is not working . The fusion 360 tutorials often leave out these tips and are frustrating . Thanks for the tips . I am new to fusion and struggled with the new user interfaces not matching the tutorials. That is the biggest problem they seem to have on regards to getting more help from the users that want to make videos .
Great tips, I am learning a lot. When you hit Q in a sketch the view turns to orthographic.. I find this happens sometimes but usualy not. I have right clicked the cube top right of screen and have "perspective with otho faces" selected. I have seen this same question asked on other videos as it seems a common problem but have not seen a satisfactory reply. Do you have the answer?
Hey Tyler, I'm still learning the basics of Fusion360 for my cockpit panel designs (flight simulator cockpit). Can you tell me the main difference between Q and E? I use E a lot for extrusion, however, you seem to be using Q for the most part. Thanks!
Great question. When you have a sketch they are pretty much the same... so go with either one. But, Q allows you to also push pull fillets and faces as well making it my personal favorite.
Nice Video! ❓ Is there a way in Fusion360 to easily make an extrude from two sketch-faces which are rectangular to each other? I have a furniture and made 2 sketches (one in top-view and one in front-view) with a lot of faces. It would be really helpful if there is a way to make bodies from where those faces would intersect. (Without the need of extrude both faces very long, make a combine-intersect afterwords and delete the not needed bodies. Because there are a lot of bodies to create this way and this would take too long!) I hope my idea is clear what and why I want to do that. Thank you very much!
I have a education package fusion 360 updated but i don't have a stop sketch i have finish sketch, i assume both are different or not. Do i have to activate stop sketch.
Hi Tyler. Great videos but I'm having a couple of problems. First, I'm a complete newbie to Fusion 360 so, perhaps you could slow down just a bit and explain how you are getting to some of the commands you are using? Second, sometimes when I hit the Q command, I get the extrude menu rather than the "push/pull" command. What's up with that?
Yo Tyler I'm a big fan ! My biggest frustration with Fusion is when I need an existing sketch that is used but need that geometry on a new plane...like how do I copy and paste the sketch I guess ???
Nice tutorial! But, you didn´t mention something about a shortcut ey to make a new t-spline after you are finished with one. Rightclick and hit "repeat spline" isn´t fast enough, do you have any other tips to fix it?
I have one question, I have a circle that is for construction and I have an arc on that circle that is not construction. I want to select that arc but it just won't allow me to select it, I'm losing my mind, in solidworks you hit the right click and just "select other" and then just select what you want. I cant seem to find that here.
Some cool tips⚙️⚙️⚙️ 1. Quickly update your design by setting key dimensions as parameters-modify one value, and watch the whole design adjust automatically. 2. Right-click on the timeline to edit, suppress, or reorder actions-perfect for refining your design without starting over. 3. Control complex assemblies with precision-use joint origins to accurately define how components interact and move. 4. Track every step in your design process-activate design history to easily revert changes and maintain a flexible workflow."* 5. Ensure stability in your sketches-apply constraints early to keep your designs clean and easy to modify. ⚙️
Hmm. Never made the link as to why it seemed so finicky when trying to select geometry before. Can’t believe it’s as simple as dragging left or right 😂
Gotcha...yeah it's hard to find the sweet spot to make it engaging but not too fast. The speed button in UA-cam can be a lifesaver for slowing or speeding up videos.
I made a Wiki Site where I documented every feature you do in the tutorial and hyperlinked it with a timestamp to the location where you do it in the video. Perfect for later referencing. You find the website here: translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fdokuwiki.garage-lab.de%2Ffusion_360_tutorials&sandbox=1 The website also includes a number of other videos to educate the user for performing a complete workflow in Fusion 360.
The first tip is: run away from Autodesk. Autodesk is removing tons of importatnt for us functionalities, starting 2021 and now the f****s from Autodesk are removing so many functionalities from F360 for hobby makers. So many talking, sweet farting and now you are changing the game forcing to pay. Autodesk, pay me for my files in your cloud you can review, you pay me for being beta tester for years. USD 500 per year for accasional use? Go to hell. Autodesk SUCKS!!

Totally agree. It took me hours and hours of waisted time before this hit home for me.
The S key...oh boy! Glad that I find a video like this one, thank you!
Awesome. Me too.

For someone like me who doesn't use Fusion every day (just here and there), these tips were excellent.
SUB'D!
Helpful thanks. You know height ends in 'ht' not 'th'? Anyway thanks for the tipths.
thanks
Awesome. Gave me 4 tricks I didn't know :)
Glad you liked it!
Great hints, thank you!
You are welcome!
Hi Tyler,
Nice video [as usual]. It brings all these handy tips together.
W.P. Galjaard Thanks!

Have you seen the copy paste a sketch video? ua-cam.com/video/8hx-rRQn8Fg/v-deo.html

hello buddy, how could I increase the size of the final project? because I have a big mistake with the scale, can you please help me.
Happy to show that in another video. Will add it to the list.
Good stuff.
Thanks Bernard.

:)
How to 3d sketch in F360 as in Solidworks.
Nice video. I love videos that get straight to the point and are concise. Way too many videos with obsurdly long intros and unnecessary blabbing.
Thanks!
Good stuff, but you were moving pretty fast. I guess that's why we have a pause button.
Gotcha...yeah it's hard to find the sweet spot to make it engaging but not too fast. The speed button in UA-cam can be a lifesaver for slowing or speeding up videos.
It never occurred to me to extrude and revolve around the same sketch.
Cool.

love it! "When you turn to the right you're more conservative. When you turn to the left you're more liberal."
a lot of these are not beginners level
Who ever designed the select had a sense of humor - right is conservative and left is liberal. :)
Thank you Tyler.. That Guy Lars is too Long winded.

Got it.
@@TylerBeckofTECHESPRESSO Not all think like that person.
The right/left way of remembering selection is actually good.
WE'LL REMEMBER THAT!
