Please make a video about nuts and oils like avocado oil and olive oil. Thanks! Awesome videos and I can admit that paleo diet is changing my life, from energy levels to resolving insomnia problems.
I have a question about seafood. You seem to be a particularly strong proponent of seafood especially oysters. I love seafood but I've always heard about the potential for pollution especially with many of these creatures who sift their food. What do you think about that
Thank you. What about pasteurized goat yogurt? Fruits like cantaloupe and watermelon? thanks Assuming one is trying to loose weight. Do calories matter?
Alicia Byrd First of all, shrimp are one of the seafoods lowest in mercury (generally). Here's the EPA site reference: water.epa.gov/scitech/swguidance/fishshellfish/outreach/advice_index.cfm. In addition, there's a lot of debate about mercury, but I believe that mercury is a concern only in excess of selenium, and most fish (outside of shark, whale, and fish from contaminated waters) are higher in selenium than mercury, so I don't see it as a concern.
Hey! Excellent questions. (I addressed the fruit one on that video). Fermented foods (like yogurt) made from pasteurized dairy (goat, cow, or sheep), are pretty nutritious and have the benefit of being probiotic. It's better if they're made from raw dairy, but if you tolerate them well without digestive issues, then awesome. Losing weight and calories is a huge issue. Nobody thinks calories don't "matter", but counting calories just doesn't work for 99% of people. New video on this soon.
Hey, I think it's a trial and error thing. Some people do eat way too many nuts (many of which can also be high in Omega-6 fats). It's usually easiest to avoid them altogether if you're trying to lose weight, but not everyone needs to.
This is a bit of a tough question, because I don't think there is a perfect answer. Desserts with nut flours and raw honey are definitely better than the pure junk you can buy at the store, but for losing weight, you're right that it's not ideal. If I eat these things, like you, I'll crave non-paleo junk. My 2 *tiny* bits of advice are (a) really try to eat a lot at lunch and dinner, so that maybe you don't want anything else, and (b) commit for 3-4 days at a time to no desserts.
another question: i would love to stick to paleo more but i struggle with craving a dessert every night, we are just used to having it. but even though i make the paleoized desserts i am not losing, then this makes me fall off and eat a my non-paleo treats. i know you so no honey and this is the sugar in the paleo desserts along with nuts that i make. i do everything else correct for all our meals throughout the day, i just get stuck at night! please help!
Crab legs and shrimp are very toxic and have made me very sick bin the past. AND I was told by an physician that organ meat increases the likelihood of developing gout and inflammation. Please respond. Please note these are foods in have generally loved and told to avoid.

I LOVE EGGS. Do i actually run the risk of high cholesterol when eating eggs for breakfast about 4-5 times a week?
Are all nuts paleo? I know peanuts are legumes. New to the channel. Great info thanks for sharing!
