      This is exactly what brought me here, the lupus has started causing severe inflammation as well as affecting my kidneys 😫, i want to change my diet and lifestyle before this gets any worse, as of now my GFR is 88% but i have a high amount of protein in my urine, so i am looking for a diet to #1 possibly by intermittent fasting i may be able to correct this autoimmune disease and save my kidneys, and #2 eat a healthy dose of plant based, whole foods so that i can live a longer healthier life, i don't want to die early, i think of my only child and how much pain that would cause him. So I'm trying to do whatever it takes to live a healthier life and eat to live, not live to eat, i want my food to be my medicine

    For #5 everything is correct except for the canola oil. It is HIGHLY processed. If you are going to use canola oil, make sure it is expeller pressed, it's much less inflammatory. Also I would stay away from drinking fresh squeezed orange juice. You're losing all the fiber by not eating it, and you are just left with sugar water. I would recommend blending the whole orange into a smoothie with low glycemic berries.

      All cooked foods are inflammatory. The cooking process makes them acidic. To cure acidosis which is what diseases are, you must eat raw, specifically 100% raw fruit diet. I am arthritis and psoriasis free after switching to a 100% raw fruit diet 3 years ago. So called diseases by the dumb western medicine system deems incurable. Look up Dr Morse the greatest healer of our time.

ALL of my arthritis points have stopped burning and aching. I rarely have debilitating migraine headaches like I used to. I never feel bloated. Sometimes, I miss some of the foods I cut from my diet, but not enough to go back to eating them. And, I've found ways around some of my cravings.

    I cut out packaged snacks and cut back on 90% of my dairy consumption. The effect was almost immediate, that is to say within a few days there was noticeable improvement. After two weeks my joints felt 20 years younger (I'm 59). Swollen knees, ankles and toes completely gone. I am fit but it was hard to stay fit when it hurts to walk. I still put cheese on a cheese burger, I still put cream in my coffee with some stevia but no more ice cream (I was a self proclaimed ice cream addict), no more milk in my smoothies. This made a huge difference. FYI, I use cashew milk and green tea in my smoothies now.

      Ice cream is my bad too. I found several substitutes but they are either made from coconut milk (high cholesterol) and contain sugar(inflammatory). I drove myself crazy trying different substitute ice creams. My hubby said it’s ok to have ice cream at the farm stand every once in a while which I do. Ironically, it doesn’t bother me and it’s probably the stress from worrying about the after effect of it’s effects did more harm than the ice cream itself. As my husband says everything in moderation. I think he’s onto something.

      @GenXer333 3 роки тому +7

      With turmeric being fat soluble, you would need to heat it up with oil (best would be coconut oil). Also, you need to add black pepper to activate the curcumin (the chemical in turmeric). The most beneficial way to reap the rewards of turmeric is to make 'Golden Milk'. There's recipes everywhere. Very simple and you can make a paste and store it in the refrigerator for appx 5-7 days and make fresh Golden milk daily. It's made with coconut oil and turmeric in a pan on low heat, stir until it forms a paste. Let cool and store in a glass jar. When ready to make Golden milk, add almond milk (some use oat milk) to the paste, with black pepper, and you can add other spices like cinnamon, etc., for flavor. Vanilla almond milk makes it sweeter.

    The key for me was omitting tomatoes. Zero pain, but miss them. Big discovery: heirloom tomatoes do NOT result in arthritic pain! So the inflammation results for growing chemicals in soil and sprays.

    • @deeescobedo7528

      Barbara,
      Do you mean heirloom tomatoes only? In other words not all the hybrid types?
      Or do you mean organically grown?
      As these are two different situations.
      Based on these two differences, the best would be to look for heirloom tomatoes ( all original tomatoes that are not hybridized) which are grown organically (not sprayed with pesticides nor herbicides nor even rodenticides).
      Thank you.

      Removing the tomato skins and seeds with that clear pulp around them rids the antiinflammatory properties of tomatoes. I use more diced canned tomatoes when making dishes to eliminate need for sauce and often there are very few seeds in them from processing but with fresh tomatoes, I dip them in scalding water, removing the skin then slice up and push out the seeds and clear pulp and just use the meaty parts of the tomatoes.Something called lignums in the other parts cause the inflammation so cutting them out helps.

    Regarding Bread: Also important stay away from corn flour. Many gluten free breads will remove wheat, but add corn flour. Read ingredients and choose a gluten free that hasn't put corn into the bread. They have some good ones out there.

    When you speak of carbonated drinks does that include carbonated water? I have a sodastream stream and lightly carbonate my own purified water and add fresh lime & lemon. It is the only way I can manage getting my water content in daily. Thank you. I very much appreciate your channel. 🙏💗🙏

      Hi Doreen, yes, that includes any type of carbonated water. We know have knowledge that carbonated water predisposes to lower ph, which is acidic.
