Greaser Restoration - AMAZING Transformation!

- In this video I restore a Lincoln grease gun (Model 1142 Series D). First I start off with disassembly. Super Clean sent me some products to try out, which did a wonderful job and cleaning the grimy grease! I obtained a new dust collector to help video quality when sandblasting. Personally I think the sandblasting footage turned out wonderful. Then came the powder coating in RAL 5017 traffic blue. The end caps were finished with a cold blueing technique to help preserve and prevent rust. I hope you guys enjoy, if you do leave a like and a comment. Thanks again to the Super Clean team for sending me some product!
Much Love,

Hey guys, you can turn on subtitles for different language captions while watching! Thanks for everyones continued support! Much love, Dr Restoration
Really enjoyed. Like.
I just can't believe you actually discarded that antique grease!
As soon as you put in that first screw I was yelling "you forgot the spring and ball bearing!!!". This was well done. A beautiful piece. Great work.
Recognized this right away its a # 1142 Lincoln sold dozens and dozens of these in my Parts Stores , it was the preffered brand of the professional mechanics.
Nicely done project. You did well with the video
Video quality was great, even during the sandblasting. Great work!
Thanks Chad, I am very happy with my new set up! :)
Superb video quality. What to say about restoration. It’s simply outstanding ❤
Thank you 🙂
Those use to be used by mechanics working out of a garage. They were refilled through the grease nipple from a tank that would pump it under pressure.
Great job!
Video quality good at this end.
Thanks Robert

As an excavator operator I fully understand the grease gun going rusty problem. When left unused in a tool box full of water 😂🤣!!
Using Chicago screw was a clever idea👍
That was great 👍 very entertaining. I love the blue. Looks better than a new one.
Grat Job. Keep your hands working........

Everyone doesn’t?
@@DrRestoration me doesn't
HAHAHA I came here for the WW II era "grease gun"! But anyway I enjoyed the video!
I really enjoyed this, the sandblasting was so satisfying to watch. Well done!
Thanks Shawn!
I really like restorations and you do a great job.
Greatings from Brasil.
Greeting Jose!
Oops...I wrote wrong...😁
@@betaomerllo576 Brazil* 😂
Greeting
In portuguese, Brasil is correct.
In english, Brazil.
Nice!
Looks like all my grease guns, just needs a new line.
Nice video mate! Great job!
Thanks bro!!!
Camera work is pretty good, there were a few autofocus hiccups. The one thing I noticed was the water coming out of your sandblaster, not good for a part that just had its surface exposed. An inline water separator/filter/trap (names for it vary) might be a good investment, they're not super expensive and will extend the life of your tools
I have a small inline water filter, will look into a better one. 🙂
@@DrRestoration they make a type that mounts to the wall and has a spring loaded valve at the bottom of the bell so you can release the collected liquid as needed, very cool device
What brand of Chicago screws did you use? Are they good?
I got them from Ace Hardware, they were just ok. I’d look for a better supplier.
Which sand are you blasting with? Thank You
Black diamond blasting media, I get it from tractor supply.
Aw wait I actually thought it was an M3, still cool tho.
👍👍👍👍👍
😃
Perhaps a bit more lighting in the media blasting cabinet? Like LED rope lights strung around inside the top?
Good idea Ben I’ll look into that, thanks! 🙂
But the sand blasting will covered the led
Amazing quality and result 🙌🙌
