Awesome job man! You always do such a great job. Love how you genuinely try to keep as much of the “old” as possible. It’s nice to see restorations that aren’t just replacements.
What a superb look to the lock! “I’m the lock-picking lawyer and something like this is enough trouble… give me a modern lock any day!” Glad to see Avril at the end!

I am so glad we have door knobs now. Can you imagine locking yourself up in your house for the night a fire breaks out. You forget where you put the keys and you can't get out of your house. 😮
That key is beautiful! I spent a few years in a house that was over 150 years old and had skeleton keys for the doors. After that I collected skeleton keys for a while. Never got my hands on a beauty like this though! I love watching your videos, so relaxing.
Beautiful!! I love these locks and the ones with the knobs on them. Ones for prestigious "well to do families" were very ornate and Beautiful. Thank you
As always, the most impressive part is that you can put it all back together again 😅 Seriously, though, your work is amazing and it's obvious how much you care about what you do.
The part with the bluing liquid was trippy, it looked both sped up and slow motion simultaneously because of the way the color gradually appeared. So cool!
Wow what a really pretty old lock !! I bet the door this was on was AMAZING !! You guys made this look FANTASTIC !! Very nice work I just love the use of the natural wood !! 👍👍
I haven't commented enough about how wonderful this channel is. You never fail to disappoint! The items you restore are beautiful and relevant, the use of local woods and hand methods are wonderful and, of course, there's Avril. I hope 1 million subscribers comes your way soon! You deserve it!
Very nicely done LADB... Love the projects with wood and metal.. And you're one of the best in combining the two.. Hope all is well with you and your family in your part of the world.. Take care my friends...
Этот замок 🔐, просто моя мечта! Я бы хотел иметь такой замок 🔐, в своей входной двери и пользоваться такими красивыми, старинными ключами. Спасибо 🙏 вам огромное, за ваши золотые руки. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Your videos scratch my brain in a good way. Seeing something get fixed and restored just satisfies something I never knew needed to be satisfied in my brain.
Rebuilt one like this years ago. Gaffa came out and threw a box on my bench and said 'You like puzzles' then walked off laughing. Took me a week to sort it. Customer was so happy. He brought another on. Then more started showwing up. Was known as 'the lock guy' after that.
I'm convinced all these restoration channels put liquid bluing on everything is really because it looks cool. Like... not EVERY PIECE OF METAL NEEDS BLUING
That was amazing! How the heck do you remember where all the parts and pieces go!? Dang, that was intricate ... and so cool to see at the end on the "door" ... (with sweet Avril!) Thanks for the video! - Muddypaw 🐾
Wow! What a fantastic job you did bringing that back to life. It's great to know these old box locks can be restored. I don't suppose you restore stuff for customers? Thank you for sharing!
Hermosa cerradura de acero! Robusta y fuerte!
Persistence is key here.
I couldn't take my eyes off, they were locked on the whole time.
This video has opened a lot of doors for me.
🤣👌
Strong dad joke density...you have my approval
@@mattnoyes7729 Thanks Matt, I have some more but have them under lock and key🤣

I loved that huge key! Can you imagine hanging those keys on a key holder and putting it in your pocket? 😅

Why do you think was that key stuck there? Nobody took those keys out. They were in the lock whole night

I ADORE that key! What a great lock. You did a lovely job on it! I want a front door with a lock like this. 😍
Well done! The attention to detail, such as all the wood screw slots aligned is satisfying. Such a robust design.
Beautiful!! I love these locks and the ones with the knobs on them. Ones for prestigious "well to do families" were very ornate and Beautiful. Thank you
A beautiful warded door lock! Your restoration kept the vintage look and protected it from any further rust. A fantastic restoration!
As always, the most impressive part is that you can put it all back together again 😅
Seriously, though, your work is amazing and it's obvious how much you care about what you do.
Dang! That was a tough one!!! I was worried that there wouldn’t be much metal under that rust!!!
Fantastic job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The kitty knocking was a cute touch.
The part with the bluing liquid was trippy, it looked both sped up and slow motion simultaneously because of the way the color gradually appeared. So cool!
Perfect video to play before going to bed.
Terrific mount you built. It displays the lock beautifully.
For sure, one of your key videos !
I love the shape of the key. Really unique looking, like a piece of art.

Today's digital security locks can't compete with these big brain mechanisms in entire life span
Tell that to a locksmith
Buy a digital lock, in six months the manufacturer will probably incredible journey and send an update out bricking it.
These big brain ye olden locks are very easy to pick though. Which keeping people out is the main requirement of being a lock.
If you really want to lock people out (including yourself) leave it in the rain
@@Hungryghost01 idk my lockly lock is weatherproof. I like these old locks. They're neat. But we did move on for a reason
Nice lock and a very nice restoration. I love it when you restore old items and give them a new life. You rescue them from oblivion.

Amazing work, dude! Really well done!!! 😃
I loved the wooden part! Looks perfect!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I love watching the transformation of old to new, unbelievable
I like your restorations : you respect the history and the age of the objects, you don't grind and polish every piece.
then proceeds to beat everything with a mallet lol
Any idea of the age or roughly when it was made? The workmanship and skill of the lock maker is beyond belief.
Your restoration is exquisite.
These typically date from around the early to mid 1800's.

I think LockPickingLawyer would be interested in this one!
My favorite thing about restoration videos is seeing how often just smacking something with a mallet helps
The stuff you do always turns out very cool, your attention to detail like making sure the screw heads are lined up is great!!👍👍👍👍
Interesting lock Homes! Verrrry interesting!

Very excited to see this lock on LockPickingLawyer
