Hey, I hope you found this guide useful! Assembly starts around 10 minutes if you already have your case, theme, and parts! Make sure you post your completed build(s) to r/fightsticks and if you are bringing a wild stick to Evo ’24 that you’d like to show off, let me know and I’ll try to flag you down at the event to capture some video footage.
9:13 do you know what kind of pcb the kaimana breakout board would be? Would it be possible to order from that page ? I just want to add the kaimana mini but I don’t have the connection in my pcb for it and would need the breakout board and it is always out of stock.
@@wbdeltoro You wouldn't be able to order from a PCB assembly service without all the files (and the Kaimana is not publicly available, so that won't be an option for you). You could try to put your feelers out in the r/fightsticks discord, specifically the WTB section, and see if anyone has what you need. You could also get an LED effect in a different way. What you can do is take an LED light strip and cut the end to expose the ground/power wires and then hook them into the V5 and ground like you see done on that Brook daughterboard at 15:41 . It's cheaper since it really only takes a $10 light strip. I have an old video building out a Rainbow Goblin fightstick for a buddy and doing that so you can see the effect. Regardless, I hope you get what you're after and good luck with the build!
My fiance got my a Tekken World Tour Pixel Art Obsidian stick last year and my switches don't read diagnals as well anymore. Dude you are a LIFE SAVER with these videos. It's hard to find a good stick where I live and now I feel confident enough to do it on my own!
This video got me from never touching the insides of an arcade stick before to playing SF6 on an modded hori stick from the 360 days; I can’t believe it’s only 17 minutes long.
I've customized and modded a dozen sticks, but I've still never built one 😅. I'm sure I'll get to it eventually. I see this video getting shared a lot in the future.
So we are still waiting on the original VtheGrigori custom?! I'm sure it would be stellar! Probably minimalist with some fun whites and golds? (I'm a Clive Barker fan and had some mediocre cenobite artwork ready to go for an original SnackBox enclosure. That build never materialized, but I see it in my folder every now and think of you just because of your avatar)
@@HushMySweet1I actually just had a bit of inspiration the other day, but not the means to do it anytime soon. When I do, though, I will have such sights to show you. 😏
Super cool video I think this was needed for the community of newer players coming into the FGC but also previous players who just want to get into the world of custom controllers and want one of those fancy DIY fight sticks and showing where and how they can do it themselves was definitely needed for them. I would like to ask one question as someone who is looking to make a custom enclosure/layout, where would be the best way to go about this are there certain sellers you reach out to or do you make them yourself with certain CADD programs or Laser Cutting etc. Keep up the great work and maybe I might spot you at EVO.
UA-cam keeps eating my replies, but firstly, thank you for the nice comment! As far as custom layouts go, it depends on the enclosure. Obviously if you are building your own, it's dealer's choice. There are also services like SendCutSend which can cut you a custom layout panel to your specs. If you're buying an enclosure from one of the vendors I mentioned, then many are friendly and willing to help you get your dream layout (just costs more time and money usually). I have ordered several custom layouts from All Fight Sticks and Jony Fraze. So! Best of luck with the layout! A nice custom one can really kick things up a notch. Thanks for watching!
even tho im still overwhelmed, this video is fantastic and ill reference to this multiple times on the on coming weeks. wish me luck and thank you so much
Hey, I love to hear that! Best of luck with the build and be sure to post it on r/fightsticks when you finish it up! (There is also an r/fightsticks discord server if you run into questions or issues along the way)
Awesome guide. Just a piece of feedback, but maybe include the URL's in the description for some of the stores mentioned? Just makes it a bit easier for some people imo.
Yes! These allure of these things is contagious! Thanks for watching and make sure to post your completed build on r/fightsticks when you get it buttoned up! Good luck!
Fantastic video man! The only things I'm debating are why I'd go with a 4TW over a BnB3, they seem pretty similar to me as an enclosure. Also if I'm using a lever, I can just disable the SOCD cleaning mode right? I suppose any option in that doesn't really affect levers since they can't possibly perform that, but I also just figured it would be more efficient to not be cleaning inputs on something that doesn't need it.
I actually prefer the 4TW over BnB since they are just a bit bigger (and you can do art on the sides easier which is pretty novel for most sticks). And yes, the SOCD stuff isn't going to matter as much with a standard lever build, correct. Good luck with the build!
@@HushMySweet1 Thanks for the reply dude, that helps a lot! Now the hard part of choosing what art I want :D Your Little Shop of Horrors, Tales from the Crypt and Ghostbuster ones are sick as hell, so debating on doing that same style or a more traditional FGC route. It's gonna be fun as hell :)
@@hellsacolyte Aww yeah! The art and vibes are one of the coolest parts of designing and planning a stick imo. The first bite is with the eye, so it's just more fun to play on something that looks awesome and is personal to you. Best of luck with the build, dude!
I think this is THE best fight stick I have ever seen, I am going to make this exact fight sick. Also I had a question on how I would be able to get the art in this video?
I worked with creepsandbabes to make it. You could likely commission him for something similar, or if you need this exact piece of artwork, then I'm sure he could sell it to you as well (but I'm not interested in making it freely available). If you're looking for exactly like this one for whatever reason, then you'll also need to contact Xanibunib of MoreDoor Gaming for the wild custom balltop. Good luck with the build.
It is definitely easier to find them here, but I did put together a list on reddit about some other sources to find some if you are not in the US. Maybe it will help? Either way, best of luck with the build! www.reddit.com/r/fightsticks/comments/14csa1b/faq_and_fightstick_question_megathread_continued/
Hey I just wanted to know what the process is for get a custom top from more door gaming like how do you tell him what you want and can you get a bullet top instead of a ball top
Talk to Xanibunib before you place the tier 3 order to make sure he can do what you're thinking. I would go through discord. More-Door Gaming has its own discord and Xani is pretty good about answering q's posted there. discord.gg/8ECKV5HD
Thanks for the nice comment, dude! If you are from the US, I just go with Focus Attack. It's like $20, but they have most every template plus laser cut the holes to save time and keep it cleaner than a hobby knife. I have used a local(ish) print shop before for about half as much, but having the holes cut is worth the extra tenner to me. Good luck!
@HushMySweet1 you are the man! I was leaning towards them but was hoping for maybe an industry secret. They need to give you your own promo code for this nice of a response 😄
Hoping to eventually make a custom stick themed to my favorite doujin Speedcore label. As part of the theming I want to build in a set of speakers powerful enough to play their music. I may as well go for a custom button layout as well since it would already require a custom enclosure. I have never built a fully custom stick before. Thankfully I have a number of large empty cardboard boxes I can use to prototype some ideas when I am ready to start building. Wish I could go to EVO, but I will be watching online from home when I am not working.
Never built a box before but fun idea for a future build, use one of those quick disconnect joysticks "for making it flush", add the 4 buttons people seem to use for up, down, left and right, and use the lockout switch to toggle between those 4 buttons or joystick. Bonus: Use a tripple toggle for 4 buttons only, joystick only and joystick + 4 buttons. All of these would work with the right side of the board. If you choose to do it, I hope you enjoy!
Like a Hitstick layout that uses both joystick and buttons? I'm not totally sure, but is that kind of what you're describing? Thanks for watching and kicking out an idea!
@HushMySweet1 a controller with the 8 main buttons on the right, the 4 movement buttons on the left and the joystick positioned in the center of where the palm would lay if it wasn't there and you were using the 4 movement buttons. The joystick would be detachable to be flush when you are using the 4 movement buttons.
I believe you can get that conversion harness at all those main places I mention in the beginning and it should work just fine on a V3. With that lever though, you can also use a switch plate to 5-pin like you see at 6:44 to get the same effect (though I suppose it matters in regard to which switches you're using). A BitBang Shuriken will also serves that function and is probably easier to get than those V3 switch plates, IDK. So at least you've got a few good options. Good luck with the build.
17:14 full breakdown, but like ~$350 or thereabouts. You can get that price lower by changing out the enclosure and some other components. Good luck in the build!
I sketched it up and worked with my artist buddy for the custom art, and then just picked the rest of my parts and assembled it myself. There are custom builders out there who can do similarly. Check the FAQ on r/fightsticks for some of the builders. Thanks for watching!
The slim is just a lot thinner. That can change some builds, from their website: *The Slim model only supports Stickless and Shiokenstar style panels. *Button pins will typically require bending on the Slim model.
@@HushMySweet1 ok because i want to make a set of 8/4-way fightstick so i can use retrobat with itbut i dont know if the switching gate joystick would fit in the standard size
Yes. You'd probably need a bigger case with some rubber grip to prevent slippage. And you could wire pretty similarly, but you'd likely need bigger buttons to stomp (maybe something like this www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M7PNCO9 ) and then bigger .187 wire to hook it all up. So yes, there is a way, but there isn't exactly a guide for what you need. Still, you could probably build it yourself. Feel free to ask questions in the r/fightsticks discord if you get stumped along the way. Good luck in the build! discord.gg/zsXtTMap
@@HushMySweet1 Thank you so much for this. I had a joystick in mind, a very low profile, but yeah perhaps buttons are the way to go. Either way, huge thanks
I found those during my journey on a trip somewhere (can't even remember the town off the top of my head right now). Had to grab some footage while I was there, however. Thanks for watching!
Nice build Congratulations !!! I tried to get my hands on a GP2040-CE but taxes, import fees and shipping always kills the deal. *Im not in US risking getting it from Ali E is always a bet long waiting times, not a pleasant experience in the end got the Brook P5 Plus but kind of regretting it I know GP2040-CE have better response how big is the difference between GP2040-CE vs Brook P5 Plus? *input lag or response time
Hey, thanks! Brook has good products, just a bit on the expensive side IMO. The latency is fairly comparable in the grand scheme of things with both being very fast. I think Brook claims 0.4ms latency but their sample size was pretty small, so I took it with a grain of salt. If you want to see performance of the GP2040-CE, they have a ton of data on their website: gp2040-ce.info/ Just scroll down to the "GP2040-CE v0.7.8 Firmware Latency Test Results" to download a spreadsheet of all their testing data. In the end, both are good products, just appears to be more value with GP2040-CE in the US currently. Good luck with your own build(s)!
@@HushMySweet1 Thanks for the reply means a lot when you're lost in the subject LOL One day will get my hand on one of those GP2040-CE mini monsters Have a good one .. 1 more sub to your channel
Can you make a custom board with just the lever and use your keyboard for the buttons? I’m thinking of getting into arcade sticks and the lever seems like the main thing to get used to so I wanna try it out just using my keyboard for buttons.
I'm sure you could, but I doubt it will be an efficient/ cost-effective solution (really, you need a single device that does everything and not try to mix and match peripherals to operate at the same time on the same system). I would probably just look into some similar(ish) existing product, maybe something like the RAC-J800KK, and then inquire to the business if you can get a lever hole cut into the left input side rather than the arrow key/ WASD stuff. That's just one thought, but you have an atypical issue, so there aren't true "easy" solutions imo. You could also use a lot of this guide and install keyboard buttons instead of the arcade ones you saw here. Good luck in the hunt though! And thanks for watching!
What are you thinking? Like a re-markable white board deal? Or you just want to put your own art under it? If it's the latter, then you can get just about any case with a plexi top panel, then draw your art on a paper, cut the button holes, and sandwich between the layers similar to how you saw it done in this vid. If it's something more than that where you'd actually like the draw on the enclosure itself, then that's a different story. Permanent markers and certain paints would likely work well on some enclosures though. Good luck in the hunt for a case which meets your needs! Thank you for watching!
I was thinking one with both hit box style and joystick built in. Some games i may want to use one or the other style. Maybe split hit box style a bit (like the one you had splited) with joy stick in the middle where joystick would act as left stick of controller. Maybe have a small thumb stick below right side buttons (low kick) near where thumb rest act as right stick. This way, it basically has all the controller functions. Of course will have to build out L3 and R3 as buttons.
I have an old video on "hitsticks" that showcases sort of what you're talking about. Usually the joystick is on the far left and the movement buttons are more in the middle, but you could build it however you'd like. Still, the vid might serve as good inspiration and give you an idea of what other people have done. Thanks for watching!
Hi. Can I pick your brain? I'm looking at upgrading my hori fightstick alpha. What are the best quiet responsive buttons/stick for it? I have a newborn and I can't clackity clack like I like to
I have a video on silent button options (it needs redone with some new options, but maybe still worth a watch). I think I would actually recommend silencing pad for Sanwa buttons (cheaper option), or Qanba Gravity or Gamer Finger (more expensive option). There are also 3d printed ones, and actually SGF has some Monkey buttons where you can insert the switch of your choice, so you could go that route too if you had a favorite quiet switch in mind. Good luck!
Yo brother great builds, your place looks amazing!! I have a question where can I find the wooden shelves you use to store all your fight sticks? Thank you!
Thanks! Those were actually just cedar bookshelves. You can put the little support pegs in so the shelves sit at an angle (and then I just drilled higher holes for the topmost shelves). Then flipped the shelves upside down so the lip would face upward and prevent any renegade stick from sliding and then used a holesaw near the bottom to make room for the cords so I could run some LED strips. Thanks for watching!
@@HushMySweet1 ohh I see that’s pretty awesome! What was the name of the whole thing you got? Or was it custom made? I have a space here in my living room I wanna fill with my fight sticks but only see bookcases that go straight, so that idea of putting it up a peg makes a ton of sense!
@bransmartUK They were bought as "handmade cedar bookshelves" and then I just tweaked to meet our fightstick showcase needs. Some guy on etsy used to make lots of cedar stuff so I just ordered from him but I don't see him on the platform any longer (but these are several years old at this point, so I suppose not too surprising). Still, I grabbed some quick measurements for you so you can have a baseline in your search: 60"x42"x14" Good luck!
Would it be possible to create a custom controller like this with a second joystick? I have issues with my thumbs and would like to use something like this for other games.
What are you thinking? Like you would use a second joystick to activate button presses? Something like that should be possible, but you'd be looking at different cases/mounting since it's so custom. You would also have to likely utilize the screw terminal block and then split off the wires from another joystick wiring harness (or make your own) and connect to the appropriate inputs (and ground) for the 4 cardinal directions. Like, I've never done it, but I think you *could* probably make use of a second stick to replace the function of 4 buttons.
Great guide! i have a question tho~ Which USB cable did you use for the PCB? Just a normal USB C to A phone charging cable?how much Volts/ampere are needed?
I just used a standard USB C-A as you said. I think I picked up that one from Amazon, in a basic package of more appropriately sized ones that I have already used. I think it was 16" but really, you probably only need ~10" or less, though to some extent it depends where you mount you PCB. Most Brook boards have a USB B connection, however, so good to know if you aren't going with one of these advanced breakout boards. Anyway, thanks for watching and best of luck with your build! Show it off on r/fightsticks when you're done!
@@HushMySweet1 thanks for the fast response :) i'm actually planning on using the exact same board! i was just wondering if you need like a special "higher voltage "usb cable or at least a fast charging phone cable or sum like that - so a normal USB C-A phone cable without fast charging should be enough?
You can repurpose things (cigar boxes, briefcases, etc.) by just drilling some holes with the appropriate diameters. Or are you saying a full wooden case or something? I don't have many woodworking tools so I'm usually at the mercy of fightstick case vendors like everyone else. The good thing is that there are many options these days (acrylic, wood, metal, 3d-printed, etc.) so you can typically find what will serve you best. Thanks for watching!
I've never done one with a trackball (nor even experimented with any), so I don't feel confident weighing in. Still, there are lots of great resources and info out there, so I hope you get it figured out and build your dream stick. Thanks for watching!
You can use the screw terminal block on these boards in addition to the 20-pin connection to double-up on inputs. You'll just need .110" wire with quick disconnects to stub into a ground and function. If you want to remap stuff, then you likely need to utilize some of the aux functions since a lot of in-game stuff allows for that. You could use that L3/R3/touchpad harness to connect atypical/new layout face buttons and go with that. It all depends what functions you want, I suppose. Good luck with the build!
Yes, pretty much. Check out a slightly older video on this channel "Build your own Hit Box" or something like that. It's the one with the cartoon meme Ryu as the thumbnail. I walk through a lot of the same stuff you see here but it's geared toward an all-button audience. Good luck in the build!
Are you using a GP2040-CE based board? (If it's Brook, it won't work) If so, then you've also got to hold your start button as you plug it in. Then hit enter on the number in the url bar.
fun, now i know how to set that thing up and im watching for educational purposes and im telling you there is no way that a professional fightstick needs to cost 250$ dollars, is there bigger lag than a prebuilt or does it work at minimal latency
Speed depends on the board. However, Brook products and definitely the GP2040-CE stuff are all blazingly fast. You can check input latency charts here to see how quick they run: gp2040-ce.info/
Never thought I'd say this but.... please put links in the description! And if they're affiliate links even better. It'd be so slick to help support and buy parts for a build all at once. Honestly if I didn't watch your video I wouldn't be in process of buying all these parts
@@HushMySweet1 I'm in the UK so they were £18.19 including tax and shipping. I bought them to upgrade my MadCatz Street Fighter 4 Fightstick buttons that I bought in 2009. I've never really had much arcade experience and the stick was the first proper Arcade stick I ever bought, so, I can't really compare them. From personal experience, the upgrade was night and day. The stock buttons were obviously lower quality than the Tournament Edition that was out at the same time. I've found the buttons to be absolutely amazing. So much quieter and more responsive. I can absolutely recommend them. 😁👍
Hey, thanks for watching and commenting, dude! If you can get a cheaper enclosure, you can really cut down the cost, but an empty metal one like this starts at like $150 and that scares a lot of people off right from the rip. The principles are the same for whatever you decide, so you if you end up with a cheaper acrylic one or repurpose something, this should still work for you. Good luck!
I used a PCB assembly service to get this one. If you just want to buy one ready to go, then SGF has a similar model (pretty much the same except it also comes with a screw terminal block, so just a bit fancier than what I had in this vid). 95% the same though. Good luck with the build! sgfdevices.com/products/sgf-gp2040-ce-advanced-breakout-board-pe
Scroll down maybe 3/4's the way through the page and the .psd template files sit right above the installation notes. They have a lot of different brands/layouts, so you can look through their catalog to find the right one for the stick or all-button controller you're looking for. focusattack.com/artwork-print-and-cut-for-allfightsticks-18-noir-panel/
Or, if you're just looking for a printed version of something you made yourself, Focus Attack does that as well. You'll just have to cut the holes. focusattack.com/custom-artwork-print-only-please-read-description/
I'll add it to my list, but it likely won't be for a long time. (And it's cool to order, but you typically have to do so in larger batches which isn't ideal for most viewers). I have a slew of irons in the fire regarding videos and need to cross some of these other ones off my list first. Thanks for watching! In the meantime, here is a single board if you'd like to just order direct: sgfdevices.com/products/sgf-gp2040-ce-advanced-breakout-board-pe
@@HushMySweet1 thanks I did order one, Im trying to get into making custom builds I already started getting my materials together. I found a cool wooden box that looks like a book im going to do an Evil Dead theme and make it look like the Necronomicon.
@@Pvt_Parts404 A Necronomicon theme could go pretty hard! Pretty original stick concept and an iconic film reference all rolled into one. I'll be interested to see what it looks like when you finish. Best of luck!
A Sanwa JLF/JLX is already about the lowest price point lever we can tap. We could change the buttons to Sanwa or Hori for some reduced cost. I have an older video about a "shadow fightstick" where I try to give tips on where you can cut corners to reduce the overall price of a build. Maybe worth looking into to see where you can save. But if you can get an enclosure for cheap, that will go a long way toward keeping the money down. As far as other arcade part suppliers outside the US, I'm not overly familiar with them. Might be worth looking into Bermonch, BattleMonkey, Satsui Customs, Wallcade, TR Fight Stick to see where they get their supplies. Good luck in the build!
@@HushMySweet1 Thanks man, I've been spending all day looking for some alternatives because at some sites the prices are about 50% higher than shown. It feels like it would be better to just buy one of the expensive ones while I always wanted to make one my own
You'll have to let us know if you find a reasonably priced source for arcade stick parts or what business you go with if you're ordering a custom! I sometimes get questions from Europeans but I don't know the fightstick scene in that part of the world all that well, so I may be able to direct others to your comment/experience getting one together since you'll likely know better than me when you get it all done. Thanks for watching/commenting!
Yeah, actually! So my brother was a big fan of MeatCanyon, so I made him one. Then! The real Papa Meat saw it and commissioned his own one (but with his Smash Maggot character this time around). There are videos on my brother's and the actual one for Papa Meat on the channel if you're curious. Thanks for watching!
Baji lever from Devil Designs. I have a review of an earlier model of it on this channel. The one in this vid is a newer iteration. ua-cam.com/video/Se3ym8dXzvE/v-deo.html
You can utilize the screw terminal block on certain boards, but you may have to invest in something like a BitBang Magician's SOCD cleaner to help keep clean inputs on older games. Maybe I can do a video on it sometime.
So you can use the 20-pin connection as normal and then make use of the screw terminal block. Only issue is that you can sometimes get some weird SOCD cleaning stuff (depending on your game) since you're using 2 different buttons for the same input, so sometimes it's good to go with a BitBang Magician's SOCD cleaner.
That Gief one you saw in the vid was from Sidnificus, but I think he's on a break and away from the hobby for the foreseeable future. Xanibunib of More-Door Gaming does great work though and could probably help you in the right direction regarding a custom capsule topper. I'd start with him.
Ah, but now you have all the steps and sources in this guide you'd need to make your own! Let's see a TimeSplitterChimp take on a Little Shop of Horrors stick! Thanks for watching/commenting, dude! I appreciate it.
This one does work on PS5. I don't know what you consider expensive or what arcade part suppliers are located in Mexico, so it's hard to give feedback.
Dang, that sucks. And shipping is not a good option either? Bermonch and Battle Monkey are from Spain, so maybe shipping is easier from there than the US? Also, if you could get one of these PCBs, there is a comparable Xbox dongle like you saw for the PS5. But yeah, it sucks more people can't get what they want. Best of luck in your quest regardless!
Yeah, the enclosure really kicks the price up. If you can repurpose an item (briefcase, cigar box, etc.), or can put something together like you did with the MDF, you can save a lot of money. Thanks for watching all the same!
ONLY 1 QUESTION ! WHY all fightsticks have the buttons positioned in the right hand ?? PLZ create one with the buttons positioned on the left hand, WE ARE NOT JAPANESE !!. At my country (Greece) ALL ARCADES HAVE COMPLETELY OPOSITE LAYOUT(BUTTONS-STICK) that the whole internet presents !!
That's pretty interesting, but it would still be just the same as you see here. Get an appropriate layout (joystick on the right for you), and then plug in all the wires and buttons. The joystick should be the exact same because a left will still be a left no matter the side. Then your buttons would go opposite of what you see here so your lightest ones would be closest to the lever. So still pretty close all things considered.
This was something decided years ago by Capcom, etc. They thought that having the buttons the other way would make games too easy since most of the population are right handed. They actually wanted the controls be awkward to operate since that would have people spend more money trying to adapt to the controls. Look it up, if I'm right. Leave me a like. 😉👍
Don't let the expensive case turn you off: it's all more or less the same with much cheaper cases. There might be no designated screw spot for the PCB, but you can buy little sticky feet to put it wherever anyway. Check out acrylic BnB cases or ones on AliExpress to get some sub-hundred dollar options.

@@HushMySweet1I actually just had a bit of inspiration the other day, but not the means to do it anytime soon. When I do, though, I will have such sights to show you. 😏

That stick looks sick! This is a fantastic tutorial 😎👍
I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial, your support means a lot! Thanks for taking the time to comment!

Cool fightstick build video? You've got yourself a subscriber homie, clean build dude!
Thanks dude! I really appreciate the support!
Now the hard part of choosing what art I want :D
Your Little Shop of Horrors, Tales from the Crypt and Ghostbuster ones are sick as hell, so debating on doing that same style or a more traditional FGC route.
How lucky you are to be in the US. where I live its impossible to find enclosures.
It is definitely easier to find them here, but I did put together a list on reddit about some other sources to find some if you are not in the US. Maybe it will help? What's your best advice for getting quality prints at the right price for the artwork on your sticks? As always man, I really enjoy your content
That theme could go pretty hard! I hope you make it happen in the future! Good luck with the project and thank you for watching/commenting!

@@HushMySweet1will you do this? That would be AWESOME
I'll add it to the list of ideas, but likely wouldn't happen for a while since the schedule is more or less fixed for the next few months.
I saw that conversion kit for the switches to 5 pin for a sanjuks was wondering if theres a place i can get one for my V3
DOPE! I will be using this guide one day - So how much did this build run you?
17:14 full breakdown, but like ~$350 or thereabouts. You can get that price lower by changing out the enclosure and some other components. Good luck in the build!

Im trying to find a way to have a WASD controller on the floor, to control with my foot. Could a Fightstick be used for this?
Still, you could probably build it yourself. how big is the difference between GP2040-CE vs Brook P5 Plus?

@@HushMySweet1 Hey man thanks for the in depth reply! You make some cool videos
I was looking for an enclosure I could directly draw on, so I could have an original fightstick I'd be proud to look at, any advice?
Sweet vid. Wished you went into more detail on the web config setup for the PS5 passthrough though
Maybe the web config element is something I can explore more in the future as a stand-alone vid. Thanks for watching all the same!
Good luck!
@HushMySweet1 thanks! I'm still going to go check out that video then! You've been very helpful

Great guide! i have a question tho~
Which USB cable did you use for the PCB?
@@ALLstarFullspeed Yeah, I have never looked twice at the different kinds. These "normal" ones function just fine. Thanks!
Would it be possible for you to make a guide on how to make your own enclosure?
You can repurpose things (cigar boxes, briefcases, etc.) by just drilling some holes with the appropriate diameters. Or are you saying a full wooden case or something? I don't have many woodworking tools so I'm usually at the mercy of fightstick case vendors like everyone else. The good thing is that there are many options these days (acrylic, wood, metal, 3d-printed, etc.) so you can typically find what will serve you best. Thanks for watching!
hey man, do you have any advice for making something with a trackball?
I've never done one with a trackball (nor even experimented with any), so I don't feel confident weighing in. Still, there are lots of great resources and info out there, so I hope you get it figured out and build your dream stick. Thanks for watching!
@@HushMySweet1 Thanks man, this guide is SUPER helpful regardless and has set me on the path to what I want
how would you add more buttons than the standard 8 to a build like this? i want to add some more for more options for macros.
Hey just out of curiosity if i wanted to make a hit box would i not include all the stick add ons and just use a hit case and add more buttons?
Yes, pretty much. Check out a slightly older video on this channel "Build your own Hit Box" or something like that. It's the one with the cartoon meme Ryu as the thumbnail. I walk through a lot of the same stuff you see here but it's geared toward an all-button audience. Good luck in the build!
is there any other web configurator that is available because the one in the video doesn't show up when i put it in my URL bar

Are there some cheaper parts? And do you know some other sites which are good for the European market?

You can utilize the screw terminal block on certain boards, but you may have to invest in something like a BitBang Magician's SOCD cleaner to help keep clean inputs on older games. Maybe I can do a video on it sometime.
Do you havea video for hitstick/all buttons? I'm sure it's realtivley easier if not the same lol

Hey dude! How have you been!
Hate being an Xbox player and in the uk😂
Nothing is compatible or available here lol
Dang, that sucks. And shipping is not a good option either? Bermonch and Battle Monkey are from Spain, so maybe shipping is easier from there than the US? Also, if you could get one of these PCBs, there is a comparable Xbox dongle like you saw for the PS5. But yeah, it sucks more people can't get what they want. Best of luck in your quest regardless!
$350 with free artist work. This would cost most people double that 😅. I built mine with mdf for half the price.
of course it's going to be easy if you just buy a 150 dollar case
Don't let the expensive case turn you off: it's all more or less the same with much cheaper cases. There might be no designated screw spot for the PCB, but you can buy little sticky feet to put it wherever anyway. Check out acrylic BnB cases or ones on AliExpress to get some sub-hundred dollar options.
