Just to be clear in case there's somehow confusion, it's multi-platform but this particular model doesn't support Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X. Apparently a separate model will be released for that.
It is sad to see that they will launch a model compatible with Xbox One and Series, when even the Mayflash F300 (The 2nd cheapest model next to the F101) is compatible with Xbox
Although well, I'm curious if they will launch a model that is compatible with Xbox
This is due to Microsoft banning any unlicensed devices on Series devices. I believe it happened about a year ago.
Hello, let s say the switch 2 is released next year, is this stick will be compatible with it? Am I gona be able to continue to play Marvel vs Capcom on the switch 2 with this or I will need to buy another stick?
You should be able to play on xbox if you hook it to your phone and use the xbox remote play (probably won't work on 360 or OG Xbox games nor dev mode)
@@dgecihow would anyone know what’s compatible with a hypothetical “switch 2”
I've been playing fighters and traveling to tournaments for 15 years and in that entire time I've always seen mayflash sticks around I've never heard a negative word said about them. They're the real deal. They have hardly changed the look or philosophy in all that time and they're still thriving.
We learnt something from your messages ...
We will change the look with special new features for our new generation products !
Justin Wong didn’t know what Mayflash was for the longest time. It’s def entry level and for the poors (like myself haha)
I was surprised to find out how reliable it was for an entry level product!
Hope Justin Wong can increase his knowledge more on Mayflash in the near future ~
My first arcade stick was the Mayflash F500, love that stick. Sad to see this doesn't support Xbox but it still looks like a really great stick for those on PlayStation and PC.
Huh, I always thought that Xinput was compatible with PC as well as XBox. There you go.
@@theamazingmikelee9857it’s compatible with Xbox.
I bought my first arcade stick this past December after doing tons of research to find the one that would be the best for me, and I excluded the previous Mayflash simply due to needing to connect another controller to it. I ended up getting a Hori Alpha (which I absolutely love), but if I were going through the same process again now, I would absolutely pick this controller up!
PS5 compatibility out of the box, replaceable artwork, headphone jack with mic support, AND wireless functionality? This F700 would be such an easy purchase!
Damn, Mayflash made a better Madcatz TE.
Also 150 for a Mayflash is wild. I remember thinking 100 for a hori back in the day was pricey. Inflation is wild.
But this looks great. Deffo a good beginner stick.
And you haven't seen the Elite series, those already exceed $200 but they already put original Samwa parts in there
But you still have cheaper models like the F300 and F500 (including the F500 Flat)
My F500 Elite costed me around 120 Euro around 3 years ago. I can see them around 150 right now in amazon euro sites, so it's not as bad as that.
F500 elite (stick I still use) was around that with shipping. I get what your saying, when I used to pick up their old ps2/ps3 sticks for like 30. But I definitely think this is an improvement worth 150. I'm prob gonna grab one too.
Why do you call it beginner?
@@TheAhmedRabia Because it is advisable to buy something like this if it is your first arcade stick
You're not going to buy a Qanba Titan so that in the end you don't like playing with something like that and you go back to the pad, you have to start something cheap (Or if you have arcade centers in your city or a friend who has these types of controls, better)
6:49 HE SAID THE THING
i almost nutted when he said it 😩
I remember buying the PlayStation 4 Officially Licensed fight stick which is a Mayflash F500 rebrand. I love it.
This is very well thought designed,I'm not even play fighting game anymore but I want this.
Been waiting on this one 🔥🔥
Have had a Mayflash F500 elite for a few years and LOVE it.
If I was new, I’d 100% pick this F700 up for the $150 price point. The quality of life features for switching across consoles and wireless options look really nice and they’ve made swapping joysticks out even easier.
That’s actually exactly what I want, an option to have wired or wireless with my arcade stick or leverless controller.
This new arcade stick looks very amazing & so nice see it compatible with all the consoles here which is impressive!
I got my first screw type buttons recently and I agree that they’re easier to deal with than snap-ins.
I was wanting a stick for nostalgia and tactile feel reasons and this wasn't out yet. I absolutely love my hori alpha, but for the features and my skill level, I'd 100% have bought this instead if it'd been out. Having the wireless flexibility, the general modability, and frankly, general layout and size, your review and others make it clear that this is about the best, easy recommendation for someone wanting to try stick and isn't already at a pro level of play. I mean, damn, it's convenient.
I bought a Mayflash 500 Elite 3 years ago, which is the old version that comes with Sanwa parts and is not wireless. I absolutely loved it and worked nice for me and would recommend. I've since switched over to a leverless (because I like to be a meme) but I would still give props to Mayflash for a nice product.
I've got a F300 for a while and F700 definitely is a great entry stick now. I sadly never used the F500 though. Great video!
Great review! I had the F500 for a long time. The one issue I came across in terms of the build was where the back panel screwed into the plastic case. With heavy use, the plastic bits where the screws attached eventually started to break off. It was never a significant issue, but still something noteworthy. From your review, I saw the back panel connection looks to be the same construction.
I just wish they made an all button variation the same time they dropped this. The 500 Flat is fine enough, but it'd be nice to have one that's compatible with PS5 without an adapter...ah well. Great video as always. I miss your reviews. I only watch reviews for two channels, and this is one of them 👍
I love my modded F500 but man, Mayflash still offers such a good value and feature set that its a wonder why anyone would buy any other lever-style arcade stick.
If I didn't already have a 8bitDo stick with Qanba gravity lever/buttons, I'd defo be considering this. Looks slick.
Great video as always! would love to hear your thoughts on the f500 Flat
Man, i wish I found this Arcade Stick earlier. I did some research for a friend (he wants to switch to Arcade Sticks) and this one seems perfect. Almost to good for its price.
Not that I'm not fine with my HORI Alpha... far from it but the F700 seems pretty amazing. I think beginners should get this immediately.
I just bought the F500. I’m also picking this up
It's honestly getting hard for me to justify more expensive sticks with Mayflash on the market.
I'm a beginner and have an f500 v2 and I have to echo everything said in this video. The only complaint I actually have is the compartment door because I just know it'll break one day, and that stuff gets under the glass really easy. But like you said in the video, it's not that big of a deal because of the price point, just minor complaints.
I got the F300 as a secondary easy-travel stick, found it "used like new" at eBay for $38 after tax and shipping, and it works with everything, best deal ever. I could upgrade it with Sanwa parts, but it actually works quite well for being so inexpensive. I would recommend it for anyone looking for an entry level stick.
8:08 We americans always had screw type buttons since arcades were a thing in America.
Ive had my mayflash f500 for almost 5 years its still so crisp
I bought the ultra budget mayflash f300 and I can confirm that the buttons and lever are compatible with sanwa parts. This means that you can add things like a gate, microswitches, actuators, spring etc. I added a couple cheap ali express mods and its pretty nice
This looks super good! My friends use Mayflash sticks they have customized and it can be annoying trying to get it to work on PS5 at a local. Yeah the brook adapter helps but it introduces a bit of input lag (shouldn't be too bad if you keep it updated but that's another thing to worry about) and plugging into a controller should work but it will become a pain in the ass when you get to pools. So this looks like a great alternative and they can probably move their mods over no problem. Would love to see the day Xbox support is included WITH PS5 support but thats just a dream. Personally im chilling with my Victrix BFG but this is very compelling.
I love this stick. I got this when Tekken 8 came out. I'm a bit picky about my lever and though the stock one was decent I slapped a Knee lever on it and now is my new favorite piece of hardware. I also have a obsidian 2 and hori alpha but I dunno there's just something I like about this thing. I can't recommend it enough!
I already have the F300 (Modified to Mixbox and with USB c input) and it was my first arcade stick (I still have it and use it from time to time)
I was really looking forward to this model but seeing that it was not compatible with Xbox (Platform on which I currently play) I backed out but it is still an excellent arcade stick for beginners.
Along with the F300 models (The one I have and that costs 60 dollars) and the F500 (Next to the F500 Flat)
Praying for mayflash to make a wireless button box version
I’ve still got my 10 year old hori. Thing still works . Paid 150 . Works for sf6 so I’m good.
My f500 was the best purchase I ever made on a stick. I'll definitely be picking this one up. I keep my sticks for fun. I just like playing with them. I switch back and forth between flat and stick like daily lol
I actually preferred the buttons that came with it to the Sanwa i put in
Been using my mayflash forever. No issues
Grats on Plat 1!
Keisuke is using F700 for Tekken 8 with his main Kazuya, the most difficult char to play as
i have the 500 and its great
You had me sold at “8 way gate”. Mvc2 is finally FREED
i hope you can review the Mayflash F500 Flat soon
2.4 GHz wireless with a dongle is a huge upside to anyone who wants to go to in-person events and play wirelessly: most tournaments and locals have rules that forbid the use of wireless controllers due to potential for interrupting a set, but because wireless connectivity can be tied to the dongle and not normal Bluetooth sync, the dongle option is considered wired. This is even explicitly stated in the controller rules for EVO, and most other tournaments just use the rules specified by them
I think the strong point of this stick is the wireless mode. Most of the features you comment are present in other sticks, but the wireless mode can be really useful for some people and there are hardly any options on the market that allow it. Also, the multiple compatibility with different devices is interesting. The price of $150 is a bit high, it's close to what a Hori Alpha costs, and I would go for an Alpha if I had to choose between these two, unless I really needed the wireless or switch compatibility.
Damn this is really good for $150. I bought a qanba drone 2 for the same price and that joystick was trash and changed it out to sanwa now it's $100 lol. Maybe I will get this to play with friends but would probably swap out the joystick to sanwa as well.
Still using my Hori real arcade pro 3. Its bulky, heavy and built like a tank.
the wireless function is convenient if you are using this on gamebox
You should do a video on the mayflash F500 flat there aren't any big channels really talking about it
FINALLY! A high quality WIRELESS arcade stick that won't break the bank (could be cheaper, though)! I had to mod my Mayflash v500 with a Brook board to make it wireless.
Got one of these for Fathers Day and love it
Haha, you have a great kid and you are also an excellent father !Happy Father's Day ^_^
Ah good a mayflash ps5 compatible, and also other consoles, very good as usual, i m still using my venom arcade stick on PC wich is identical of this except for the compatibilité ans wireless, changed stick and buttons, put an artwork and it was good too go. It was good on SF 5, and it s still good for SF 6.
Thank you for the video I was wondering will this arcade stick work with Xbox series x thank you
I recommend you try the haute42 m16, it’s like the razer kitsune but like 1/3 to 1/4 the price and with more buttons
Thinking about getting one of these just to gut the PCBs out of it and putting it in one of my custom cases. Wish there was a way to do wireless PS5 without a dongle, but short of a padhack, I don't see that happening any time soon
Also theres an "elite" version that comes with all sanwa parts incase anyone is planning to buy it just to mod.
no, at the moment there is no elite version for the f700
@@zockibalboa2819They're making a F700 Flat Elite
@@zockibalboa2819 mb i didnt know that
It's so great that we're in an era where you can pretty much approach any fighting game with your ideal controller layout!
Also, are you excited for the return of Marvel vs Capcom? I know I definitely am!
Can't wait to snag one of theses any studies done on wired lag of this yet? Besides ps5 alone.
Both gates go out the window and will replaced with a Circle Gate (Zangief is one of my mains)
Does anyone make western style sticks with bat tops and concave buttons in a straight line?
You forgot to share how it can it low and mid collar Korean levers that are moderately tall too. I’ve fit a Sanjuks v7 with a shuriken PCB and a Knee Neo which has a restrictor gate.
i only hope mayflash could get a distributor in my country.
Scientific research matters like input lag like is it slower than a universal arcade brooks converter.
Since this stick is not Officially Licensed, does Mayflash have a site for a firmware upgrade down the line?
In a timeline where a ton of people are going leverless, it's nice to see arcade sticks are still being made.
Gotta say, That quite a lot of value for 150.
nice
does it have any delay, how is the board? worth it? own many arcade sticks but thinking about buy anything compatible with everything
was the music in the beginning from pretty boys klondike solitaire??
Is there also a pro version with all Sanwa parts like they did with the F500?
If possible could u review the f500 flat or convince them to do a f700 flat
I recently switch out my Hori Rap 4 Kai with this one, the main selling point was actually wireless. I play on PC and PS5 so multiplatform is also a blessing. It's just so versatile AND it comes with an octo gate, after trying it out I stayed with it for Tekken 8
I'm thinking of buying a Mayflash f 500 flat arcade stick. What do you think it would be like for Tekken? Sleeveless, just buttoned?
What board is inside? Brook ?
Is there a risk of Sony blocking this stick on PS5 as it is not officially licensed?
Hello, is it possible to mount the Korean Knee neo lever to this arcade stick?
I bought this after watching your review. I was surprised by the fact that this controller supports no other game but the famous pricey fighting games. Most of the cheap PS5 arcade games are not supported at all. It works only with the SF6, TEKKEN7/8 and a few other games. Don't expect full compatibility at all on PS5.
Interesting. Is that thing deep enough to put some Happ buttons in?
I don’t have any happ buttons to test but I may buy a few just for future reviews and mod testing
If it doesn't support Xbox then what does the Xinput dial on the knob do? Does it just make it more compatible for emulators? Tbh that's not all that bad considering how powerful pocket emulators have become with android and Bluetooth capabilities.
How does this compare to the qanba n3 drone 2? It's on sale for $109 right now, and is officially licensed by PlayStation, but i don't know enough about sticks to make a decision yet
Does this work with Brook adapters/USB or Bluetooth adapters if you’re trying to play PS2, Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube or Xbox Original fighting games?
I am buying a stick for the first time, and I plan on using it at least an hour or two every weekday and a lot more during weekends and I definitely do not plan on changing it until it breaks. Will this hold up to my expectations? My budget is around 200€ so feel free to recommend anything within (bonus points if its cheaper).
is it also compatible for pc?
I thought you'd react to Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection announcement.
If I do, it’ll be on my sub channel ActivateFG since the main channel is more gear and talk. I wanted to post a vid on it sooner but just been too busy with IRL
@@NihongoGamerOh, I didn't know you had a 2nd channel.
No problem, take the time you need 👍
Can you do a RetroArch IOS app review playing street fighter 3rd strike , street fighter alpha 3 by using Bluetooth on this Mayflash F700?
Tempting but I don’t have any current plans to cover retroarch on the channel.
Is this worth it if I already have an F300?
Hey bro, I got a venom arcade stick (ps4 version of this), and looking for parts levers and buttons to mod, any recs?
It disconnects like crazy in online matches… is that normal or should I ask Amazon for a replacement??
What about an Mechanical Keyboard translated to an Xbox Pad with SOCD using an Rapsberry Pi Pico clone with GP2040-CE
I mean isn't the mayflash 500 elite just as good???
If it only was in a leverless version
I think mayflash has started to separate sony and microsoft platform. F500 has two versions iirc, I’m not surprised if f700 has two versions as well.
I have an F300 Elite, any reason to upgrade?
Imo not really unless you want to add artwork and even then you can just go to DecalGirl. You can get a Brook adapter so you can play on PS5 which is 60 bucks and the brook adapters are great (I have two).
I don’t see PC option,,,
F500 elite vs F700. Which is better? Both are the same price on Amazon.
F500 elite has Sanwa's but you will need a brook adapter to play on PS5. F700 no Sanwa's, no support to Xbox but support for PS5 and wireless which is cool. Both are good sticks and easy to customize but if you want something that has support for Xbox and you don't want to buy Sanwa's then get the F500 Elite. I'm assuming you can play on Xbox with the F700 with a brook adapter but I don't know.
@@milesmack2798 With PC being superior to consoles and tournaments are on PS5, Xbox is effective a non-factor...
Does it work on pc ?
Yes. Almost every fight stick will work on PC.
Why are you calling it beginner? What features is it lacking? What makes a stick advanced?
F700 Flat When?
F700 FLAT should come out around Oct 2024. Thanks for your patience to wait.
Please make guitar playing youtube videos too
Haha yeah tempting tho my channel is already plenty mixed up genre wise
