Love blonde me lightner they also have clay based that works wonderful too , you should definitely try if doing a baylage I've used 2% developer with the one you have there and it still gives great lift amazing bleach and the toners are good love the rapid toners they have Cosmo dad thank you so much always good to see you 💜xx
The Succunuc Acid (related to Citric acid) is the built in bond builder that made the Blondme feel better after processing (8th ingredient). Wella uses Malic acid for their Blondorplex lightener
If you used a higher volume develop I assume you would get a higher level of lift. I want to highlight my own hair which I feel is a level 6 (but is very stubborn to lift) so I can’t go back and redo it again. How do you know what level of developer to use?
I’m very surprised. Great results. Is it possible to use this as an all over color on a person with a head of hair colored as the dark brown swatch and get the same results?
Thanks for watching! The answer to your question is complicated. I'm going to say no and yes. The part of the hair nearest to the scalp will lighten faster, the ends of long hair often start out lighter and more porous, not to mention curl pattern, diameter and density of the hair and the time it takes to apply. All that being said, if you get all your factors perfect, there is a 50% chance you will get an even all over result similar to the swatch. Best to tone afterward. Videos on toning coming up soon-ish
I never understood why companies keep saying their bleach lifts 9 levels in one go. That isn't gonna be the case for the average person, especially if there's previous color it has to lift through.
Helloo dear, okay so i heard that dying hair or chemical treatment can make water evaporation from hair. So my question is if it happens will cortex absorb water? And how would i know if cortex or hair is absorbing water? Please please i need to know this. Will be grateful if you ans my question.
You can not waterproof your hair. Some processes can make the hair humidity resistant and others may dry the hair out but those both have to do with oil content in the hair. No matter what, your hair will still absorb water.
So question…..your mixing at a 1:2 ratio, even though the instructions say 1:1.5-1:2.5 And yes I watched your video explaining the breakdown of working lightener in bowl once mixed up. I’m assuming this is why…I just wanna make sure I’m mixing up right 😬😬 Thanks! 🙏🏽
Hi, just want to mention that you called the BlondeMe - "Joico" two times, at around 5:38 =-D (Joico is also a great bleach, and their newest bleach is called >Blonde Life, so pretty similar ;p ) Love from Norwegian Colorist
Ya it was a weird Freudian slip that I didn't notice until this had been posted for months. I had been working with that lightener too but had audio issues with that video. Good catch and thanks for watching!
@@CosmoDad How cool that you responded, thank you! =) If I may, I would like to ask you a question.. It's more related to the video you did about mixing ratios and hydrogen peroxide.. But I have noticed a lot of hairdressers that does foils - use a thicker consistancy at the grow out, but then sometimes dilute the bleach with more of (the same percent) peroxide on the already lightened ends (to just brighten them up a bit), thinking this is milder for the hair. But according to your video - doesn't that actually just mean that the "thinner" mixture has a higher working percent than the thicker mixture on the roots? And therefor will harm the cuticle even more..? =) Tia! I love your videos, you are really talented
You are absolutely correct. That's the reason that high lift color uses double developer instead of a 1:1 ratio. To enable all that lift. Thank you for the kind words and stay tuned for some really fun things coming in the next couple months!
If you are going by the book, the manufacturer would probably advise against it. There's really no reason it wouldn't work though. When in doubt, try a small test strand to make sure you get the results you expect.thanks for watching!
@@CosmoDad thank u btw u would happen to know what color is igora royal 9,5-22 I heard it was a platinum blonde color but I heard others say it’s a pastel blue?
@@CosmoDad thank u for getting back to me I just got 2 of these and it said platinum blonde extra ash and then on the box it said pastel blue I was really concerned lol 😂
Hey cosmo dad so I’m learning the igora color system and I was just curious since the color I have is a level 9 and the tone ash blue why is there a 5 in 9,5-22?
I did slip up and call it Joico a time or two. I was also testing some Joico products at the time. I thought it would be funny to leave it in and see if anyone noticed. You're the first! 😂
Just The video I wanted to see when I really needed it, I’m going to do my own hair and you’ve helped me a lot ❤
Your great! 💪🏽 Love your videos. You break it down in such ways that make sense, scientifically, mathematically, etc. You Rock!
Thank you!

It totally slipped my mind to compare their respective pH. Maybe I'll do an addendum
Oh! This is the information I crave. Yessss
Thank you!
I went from a level 3 to a level 9 in two goes and still have good hair. 👍

Your channel is amazing and will grow! Do you have a favorite lightener you personally prefer?
Thank you! And thanks for watching ! I love Wella Blondor for most uses but I also like Schwartzkopf BlondMe and Paul Mitchell Synchrolift.

You've got it spot on. It can be mixed anywhere in the 1:1.5-1:2.5 range. I like the 1:2. Thanks for watching!
Would you recommend getting the same brand developer and bleach??
Generally any developer will do. Most manufacturers would want you to use their brand though
Is semi permanent hair dye humidity proof or waterproof?
Not at all

Oh no! I didn't even notice. Thanks. I was trying so hard to not say Blonde Life( Joico's 9 level lightener) that I said Joico instead
Why did you say JOICO? You confused me
Hi cosmo dad I was just wondering can I use blonde me developer with igora permanent hair color?

It's a pale smoky blue, which on top of yellow hair should make a very cool, platinum blonde
