- In this initial test, I compare the lift and tone of Blonde Solutions Lightener against Pravana Pure Light Ultra. Both processed for 1 hour with 10 volume (3%) developer. Both the Blonde Solutions pigmented developer and a regular unpigmented 10 volume were tested.

You can use blonde solutions in foils? I do it works great
My Blonde Solutions container warns against it. However since this video, their packaging had changed and this warning is no longer there. I have also spoken with the company owners and they totally endorse use in foils.

Certainly. You probably won't see any toning, but the developer should work just fine
This was very interesting. I'm only familiar with 4 bleaches at the moment (2 blue 2 white), but from my experience the Ultramarines stuff doesn't seem to deposit any cool tone... It just looks nicer imo.
I have seen bleach powder added to permanent color to give more lift while still allowing the color to deposit, but that was with a red box color, (and only one ounce of powder added; Idk if a blue would withstand it).
Most blue pigments wouldn't. You are right, ultramarines just look nice in the foil but do nothing...
Blue bird that's interesting to hear back in the day when I used to do blonde box dye I've seen they had color and bleach mixed wondering how that worked I love all things hair and color !! 🥰
@@wendy8561 Clairol and L'oreal actually do this, especially in their ethnic box colors. For example, Clairol's textures and tones lightest blonde shade include a small packet of lightening powder (they call it a booster packette). Feria's absolute platinum is basically a high lift color without pigment mixed with a packet of lightener and 30 vol developer. It's more mild and easier to apply than regular bleach.
@@CosmoDad I figured that lol. I do know that Clairol's Kaleidocolors powders can add tone while bleaching. I looked up the ingredients and the violet powder uses Acid red 92, Disperse red 17, and Tetrabromophenol blue.
Oooh! That's great info, thank you. I wasn't sure if kalidecolors still existed. I did do a side by side comparison with all their tones about 10 years ago... and they all looked identical LOL
what is the liquid you placed in the fermentation tube?
A yeast and water solution. From what I've experimented with, the concentration doesn't really matter. You just need enough catalase to trigger the reaction from the H2O2. Thanks for watching!

Will u believe me if I told u that following the science u teach helped me lift my hair using blond solutions plus 20 vol from a level 2/3 hair to level 10 in one go? Yes this is me in the profile pic . No my hair isn't damaged . And yes I am level 2 to 3 middle eastern with coarse curly middle eastern dark hair. And no my hair isn't toned in this pic! Just blond solutions , foiling , and proper ratio 1:2 and provoke purple conditioner. So thank u !
Ps after foiling I wore a shower cap and my room gets warm in winter ( heaters) the heat sped up the process. I also have olaplex no1 in the bleach solution and left the bleach on my hair for 1 hour.

Seems like a ripoff. Id bet youd get better results adding a blue additive to your normal bleach instead of paying extra for a fancy can and blue developer lol.
The reason why this bleach is being hyped is because the direct dye in the developer is different than other direct dyes and doesn't get broken apart as much by the bleach.

I'm going to do a part 2 where I test its ability to fully lighten to palest yellow where we can really see it's toning ability. The jury is still out...

It's especially formulated with pigmented beads for blonde solutions. If you do that you could have terrible results. Also adding any pigment to lightener will just get eaten by the lightener
