- The magic ring is often used to start an amigurumi project or a crochet project that is being crocheted in the round such as granny squares or doilies.
To make a magic ring, pick up the yarn and wrap it once around two fingers, making sure it crosses over forming an X. Use your thumb to hold the yarn end and the pinky finger to hold the other side of the yarn.
With the hook, go under the first strand and over the second and pull a loop. The tarn will twist and create a loose loop on the hook.
Go over the first loop and under the second one and pull a loop through the loop on your hook.
Your magic ring is complete, now you can crochet your stitches around it. To tighten the loop, pull the yarn end.
I’ve watched numerous videos now I love that you explained it slowly! Most do it slowly and then do the looping part so fast that the tutorial was still not helpful. Thank you for showing it slowly❤
You're welcome, glad it was helpful 😊

Another way to do:
Make a slip knot
Chain 2
Sc the number according to ur pattern in the first chain u made
Pull the yarn end to secure the ring
That's another way of doing a magic ring 😊👍
I got it right first time, undid it and failed. I wish I kept it the first time!😆
The more you practice, the easier it becomes 👍
THANKS SO MUCH I SUBCRIBER❤❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you, I'm glad it was helpful 😊
This is THE easiest way
Glad to hear that
Do you do another loop after your first magic ring
It's not necessary, but you can ch1 if you are making single croxhets into the magic ring
my ring keeps on getting stuck? What do I do I need feed back! 😢
Sometimes the tail is wrapped around the ring a d that's why it gets stuck, make sure it's not.
Why do u say hohlo
👍
I've tried this method and still it won't knot
I'm sorry to hear it doesn't work for you. Another option is to make a circle out of chains, but it doesn't work as well as the magic ring
I found another method that works for me.. thanks. There's always more than one way to do anything@CraftingHappinessCrochet
