@@doubledutchcrochetPlease help me! Whenever i do the single crochets in the magic ring, it curls and my line isn’t straight? what am i doing wrong? :(
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I'm a beginner crochet artist who recently got into the craft. I have wanted to make a magic ring for a while for one of my projects. I was about ready to give up until I found this video. Thank you so much! I hope you know how much this video helped me on my crochet journey. 🙏
As someone who is trying to get into crochet for the first time and wanted to make something to give to my friend, I looked everywhere on youtube for a easy and simple tutorial and this is the best one by far. Thank you for making this, it was super helpful! :)
You give the greatest instruction. I can’t tell you how many videos I have watched on the Magic Circle and was unable to grasp what was being done until I saw and listened to what you were doing. 5 Stars for you. Thank you very much
I've sat here for four hours struggling to make a magic ring. Then I discovered your tutorial, it is so clear and helpful. thankyou very much for the easily understood instructions and unobtrusive camera angles . I'm coming back tomorrow for more practice before I forget how to do them!
Thank you so very much for your detailed, easy to understand magic ring. Your video is makes it easy to see the way you do each stitch. This first time magic ring creator is very grateful to you!
I finally did it after a long struggle! I have been watching tutorials of making a magic circle and none of them are clear. You’re perfect clear and I understand now! Thank you!!
Omg! Thank you! I have seen eo many "beginner friendly" video tutorials that either cover how to increase stitch with their finger or they do it so fast that I cant comprehend. The best part is that in mere seconds you show all the angles I was looking for to finally understand what was going on.
this is the video which allowed me to FINALLY make the magic ring. thank yoy for the slow instructions, repeating the same step immediately and using very chunky and contrasting yarn!!
Thank you for sharing how to stitch into the round after creating the magic circle! All the other ones I've watched just stop after the circle is created and I needed the visual of what to do after!
❤You, by far are the BEST instructer of the Magic Ring. I never learned to include the TAIL into the circle, I always had a twisted mess and the circle would not close smoothly. Great step-by-step instructions. Thank-you 😊🇺🇲
This has been the bane of my existence for years. I tried so many videos. Thank you SO MUCH for this, turns out what I needed was A) a slow enough explanation to be able to replicate it on my own and B) the note to make sure to crochet over both strings! That was why I could do as many correct rings as I did and always failed! Now I'm on the path to a little crochet kitten and couldn't be happier. Thanks so so much!
I did it!!! Thank you so so much!!! This is the perfect tutorial!! You are so clear and patient! And explaining how to continue stitching into the loop after making it was a huge help for a beginner like me!
You are a life saver I gave up on the magic ring A YEAR AGO and watched your video now to give it a try and immediately did it the first try, thank you so much!
Thank you soooo much for this tutorial!! Ive been trying to learn how to make an adjustable ring for a year, and this is the first one that made sense! Thank youuu
Thank you so much! I've watched loads of how to but you explained it so well, it was slow, easy to follow and close-up, easy to see. The penny has now dropped! I am now subscribed! Thank you ❤
iLOVE YOU THANK YOU!! :D 🫶🫶 usually while learning a difficult new skill i tend to give up; i just got my crochet kit yesterday and i still haven’t yet perfected the magic circle but this video is getting me farther than any other ones have!! i firmly believe i will get this down today
WOW!!!!! I have looked at so many videos trying to learn how to make the mc. I was so frustrated. You have finally taught me how to do it and I thank you so much.😊
Ma’am. YOU ARE THE REAL CROCHET M.V.P.!!! 🧶 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 After hours of watching UA-cam videos and practicing this “simple” technique, I ended up with a magic ring graveyard of lopsided circles or perfect ones with a tail that wouldn’t pull that had become a knot! You, my dear, have set me free from magic ring detention with a clear and comprehensible demonstration. I am proud to say I am an “A” student from now on! 🧶
This video may have taken me a lot of tries to understand but now I really got the hang of it. I purchased a Woobles kit for beginners and learning how to make the center ring their way with a slip knot (apparently it was supposed to be an easier way than this way) was IMPOSSIBLE! No matter how many times I followed exactly how the tutorial instructed, it wasn't turning into a ring. To anyone who was struggling with this video, trust me you'll get it. It's frustrating (I would know I almost had a mental break down lol) for it to not click immediately but what worked for me was that I kept going back multiple times to see how she was doing it until I finally caught on. I truly appreciate this video, I'm really starting to love learning how to crochet. Thank you!!!

I just started crocheting yesterday and have been struggling with this magic ring that happens to be in every “ beginner friendly “ pattern. But you make so much sense! Thank you!
Thank you for literally doing this step by step and explaining what you're doing 😭 Explaining and showing how you held the ring at the start helped, I was struggling because the slip stitch(?) kept slipping above and under until seeing how you held it
Wow, I can FINALLY do the magic ring without tossing my yarn aside in frustration! Thank you so much, you really explained and showed in a way that I found super easy to understand and do.
I finally did it! Thank you!!!!! Edit: the secret is crocheting the extra strand into the first round. That will allow you to pull & tighten. No other tutorial really stresses that.
I’ve watched soooo many videos on how to do this and this is absolutely the best video ever!!!! You go into what do do after making the ring, how to keep track of the start and how to count them! ❤

Also as a beginner my biggest issue is working with 4.5mm. I bought one of those beginner kits and it’s to make a little ferret. I’m having such a hard time
If your working with medium weight and fine yarn (size 3 or 4) I like to use a 2.5 or 3mm hook as I find it helps keep your stitches closer together with less holes! Or try using bigger yarn such as size 6 yarn with a 5.5mm hook, you may find that easier !🥰
After HOURS of trying to go with a tutorial from the kit I bought, getting frustrated because I can't see what holes the hook goes through, and looking at multiple tutorials for a magic circle to complete the FIRST step, I've finally gotten what looks like a magic circle. Thank you so much for using big enough stitches, clearly showing where the hook was going, and actually using a decent background where I can actually see the yarn! This helped wonders, thanks again
