Loved Kenny Everett and still makes me laugh over 40 years later. He would send up his guests but what I really liked was that he was never cruel. RIP Kenny.
Kenny was very close to Freddie Mercury and was instrumental in getting Bohemian Rhapsody radio airplay. In fact he was the very first to play it when he was on Capital Radio in London.
I loved Kenny Everett. It all seems so juvenile now but at the time there was nothing like him. I remember thinking he couild be the next Spike Milligan. He obviously isn't in the same league as Spike but I still remember him with great fondness. I loved his comic strip-like characters and never missed a show.
That's what's so great about the KENNY EVERETT VIDEO SHOW from THEMES TELEVISION, there's no studio audience, the laughter you hear is from the crew and the cameramen.R.I.P, Kenny.
A pure genius who made us all laugh this was comedy at its best. week by week his shows were great entertainment .we all were blessed with fantastic comedy in the 70s and 80s .RIP Kenny
Used to watch him backing the day. Thought I'd have a look at this not with much expectation, being much older now, but , bloody hell I couldn't stop laughing .
Totally Zaney, and this is what I loved about him. We really were blessed in those days with so much true comedy, since then all has steadily been going down hill.
There was one Sid Snot scene where he caught about 5 or 6 cigarettes in his mouth in one throw, and even Kenny smirked before he sashayed out of shot. It was all done in the best possible taste of course.
Two of the lines I remember from Kremen if the Star Corp was.. "Carla you look tired. Didn't you sleep well?" She replied " the people next door kept me awake. They were banging on the walls." Kremen said " They should do it in bed like everyone else." The other one was that someone said to Kremen that they were a country member. Kremen said "Yeah, I remember."
@@peterkerr4019 I’ve been doing variations on that joke since I was a kid, you just replace the brick with whatever regular item you’re handling at the time.
I was about 9 when I started to watch "The Kenny Everett Video Cassette" and it made me laugh a lot 🙃. Umm then my Mum saw what I was watching and said "that's not very nice" So I enjoyed it even more .. watched it with the sound turned down when she was cooking dinner.
He did a movie with Pamela Stephenson. One of the scenes had the camera heading down a path towards an outhouse to the theme music from JAWS. The toilet door gets flung open just as the music rises to a climax and Kenny Everett is sitting there playing the music on a cello.😁 Great comic. Not any like him nowadays.
As a kid, as we probably all did, it was Captain Kremen on the radio each week with John Peel to fall asleep to. The fun at school back then, you used to wait for him on once a week on TV then blurt it all out. Great times.
Thanks for this . I miss this guy so much. Thanks to some kindred souls at PBS12 I got to watch really silly funny shows like Kenny’s, The Pythons, the Goodies and others that totally went contrary to public tvs image up to then. They were run late night long enough to become hits before the powers that be became aware of what was going on. So this is the kind of sense of humor I grew into, in my tweens.
@@crazysoupforever He was definitely funny, adored by people of all ages, a stand-up that captures his own time and era perfectly, and his comedy transcends generations wonderfuly.
I really miss Kenny's zany humour. There is nothing like it on tv today, just endless game shows, and reality shows. There is a guy on You-tube called Stevie Riks, he should have his own show. He is brilliant at taking off just about everyone in the music business.
Many thanks for this compilation which has brought back so many memories of laughing my head off at the genius of Kenny Everett - the Thames TV shows which this selection of hilarity were taken from are the better comedy than his BBC shows IMHO - the laughter of the crew and the risque sketches just sets them apart. Brilliant stuff!!!
Some of the best memories of my childhood, along with the Goodies and the Goon Show, unfortunately, there is nothing today that can compare with that humour👍😃
Sid Snot. They told me to fill in a questionnaire, so I beat up the doorman. That and the first time he caught the cig in his mouth are the 2 sketches i laughed hardest at. It was all done in the best possible taste!

So true.
Thanks. Tv is dull as ditchwater now. RIP Kenny. You total legend.
The best form of comedy Laughing at one's self and the whole world as well🙂
Kenny Everett was a legend
I wish I did.
And it was all done in the best, possible, taste!
He was a breath of fresh air.
Hard to believe that he had all the music legends on his shows, Freddie Mercury and bee gees, police, Mick Jagger, the who, never see his like again
he started off as a disc jockey on bbc radio
After spells on pirate radio and Radio Luxembourg in the mid-1960s, he was one of the first DJs to join BBC radio's newly-created BBC Radio 1 in 1967.
Kenny was very close to Freddie Mercury and was instrumental in getting Bohemian Rhapsody radio airplay. In fact he was the very first to play it when he was on Capital Radio in London.

Good ol cuddly Ken,back in the day, never missed the show 😆👍👍👍
Yes, he was so cuddly.

Kenny's genius + Barry Cryer's & Ray Cameron's writing + the studio crew's genuine laughter = comedy magic.

Nothing quite like this. I miss Kenny
For some reason I have a vivid memory of Cleo Rocos flogging the audience into laughing. Can't think why...
