Alan's Video Collection
Приєднався 21 лис 2019
In the mid 70's, through the 80's & 90's, tape (S8mm, VHS, VHS-C, Video 8 and DV) ruled the way. iPhone has changed everything. Today photos rather than videos are captured and shared so much easier and wider than ever before.
This is my VHS “loft” collection, several tapes being over 40 years old, transferred to digital and shared for all to see. Whatever it be: the style at the time, the music, the production, the conversation... whatever your interest please do enjoy!
Note I do this for absolutely no financial gain. To help educate. Happy to remove content immediately if asked.

A few of the best bits I captured from Kenny's TV shows. I compiled this collection of Kenny sketches back in the early 80s for a video party I was having. I created a 3 hour vhs tape of my favourite and popular songs at the time from TOTP, OGWT and various other music performances to play at the party instead of vinyl. To make it more interesting I edited in a Kenny segment from his tv shows I...

Best poetry ever!
White people had soul in the 70s then it all went to crap in the 80s with all that New Romantic nonsense.
Simple Minds at the peak of their powers!
Fantastic still
I can hear but no picture ??????
Starman David Bowie The definitive biography by Paul Trynka p.330
Someone got to say it, 20 25, anyone?
Shakin' Stevens on crack.
I think bowie and other artists are quite unique and fragile in a sense. As artists. Like glass. Can be broke . N innovative yet put himself in a box to unleash his innocent child for all
A simple condom would have him still with us, what a shame.
been there second row !
So no funny bits then.
A bit dated, but quite funny.?
What a lovely voice and he appears to be sad . I wish he was around now. Bravo Kraus🙏🙏🙏
I remember that concert. It was in the rtb studio in the commune of Schaerbeek. I was in the audience. The second band that evening was Secret Affair. Good souvenirs.
Slime gob putrid features 😂
A really nice and gifted singer, one of the best❤.
Brilliant 😂
The Idiot, Rat Scabies, The ****hole, and The Vamp 😎
What a gift!! I was so in love with Simple Minds back then. Listening to Jim's voice is hypnotizing and I love all of his reflections on traveling. I'm a Dutch woman living in the US and can relate to all the hotels looking the same (which is still less the case in Europe). I never thought about how this can be disorienting, but it's true that it makes experience so much less embedded within unique locations that we move around in... thank you for sharing this!

[Slovenščina] zame, meni je tako zelo poseben. Zaradi diapazona. Zaradi prezence. Ko pa je v resnici bil zase sam. Saj ni nič narobe s tem: je že pač želel to. Kdo si [na koncu? Konec koncev?] tega ne želi? Biti svobodno. Ne ujet. [me zanima, kako to prevedejo tile najsodobnejši vmesniki! V resnici pa; ni pomembno, ker: vsak zase že ve. Vemo. Ali kako, ljudje vendar!?]
Phil was hot. The girls were pretty & stylish. They all could sing. They had some great songs back in the day. Love them. ❤

The Damned are the best band ever!
The Damned with Love Song! One of the best songs in Rock history!!!
I loved watching his show He still makes me laugh
If this was an intended skit on how to categorically misunderstand, it would be genius. Instead it's just Barry Norman at his usual worst. Middle-brow, middle-class and deeply anti-intellectual, Norman always considered cinema to be an entertaining rather than a cultural medium. Look at a list of his top 10 favourite films. Any cinephile would point and laugh.
