- Finally deleting the muffler on my 6.7 cummins with a mix of Flo Pro and MBRP exhaust parts. Added bonus clips at the end so watch all the way through.

I straight piped my 6.7... I got the middle finger from one of the locals couple days ago . I was passing on a two way and after I completed the pass I let the exhaust brake slow it back down and the traffic in the oncoming lane had one woman in a prius proudly displaying her middle finger... When it's cold out it sounds like 7000lb hair dryer warming up .
Living in Florida the first time my truck spun up because it was cold out. I can’t lie. I panicked. Every neighbor from 100 yards of my truck came out of their house. My truck is obnoxiously loud. I get it. But it’s like a jet engine taking off. Glad i only deal with that for 1 month out of the year.

the new Cummins won't sound like his. Newer Cummins come with DPF system which kills the sound and rolling coal. His truck doesn't seem to have the DPF system. My 2022 Laramie 2500 Cummins has all tha EPA BS on it like DPF. When warranty runs out I will delete all that shit though

Sounds just like mine now. 16, 2500 Laramie 6.7. 6 in lift running 37’s toyos. ARE cap with the Yakima mega warrior on top and my spare 37 on top of it. 8 foot 10 max clearance height. Here’s the sucky thing. If you have to change from stock turbo their is only 1 other company that offers that sweet sound of the exhaust brake. Not cheap. Start saving for your Rev max tranny now!! It’s going to be needed. I’m babying though my last selenoid pack swap on my 68rfe. Just broke 31k miles. Only used for towing.
Im hoping mine lasts a couple more years. I honestly don't tow alot, but i do tow my cars and im at 100k lol. Seems like some people get 14k out of a stock trans and others get 300k+ lol.

Get ready for some CRAZY highway exhaust drone...... I have the same truck with a 5" straight pipe exhaust and I thought I was gonna love it, but mine is super raspy in mid range and the drone on the highway when I drive to the shore every weekend is INSANE..... that said I'm in West Chester right by the DE border and will buy that muffler off of you if it's SS and you wanna get rid of it.
You need to add a resonator, it gets rid of the rasp

Its honestly not bad. I towed my supra with it last week and it wasnt much louder. I dont see myself putting the muffler back on..

Should have cut the pipe as it angles up over the axle and flipped it so that it points down. The echo off the road is horrendous, but i liked it.
Lol it actually started to point down from vibration and sounded mean af. But it was also a lot louder and droned a lot lol. I definitely had to point it back out and tighten the clamp real good. It’s been fine ever since.

Lol you’re good man. It was already tuned and deleted. It already had a 5” turbo back but had an aftermarket muffler on it that I replaced with a straight pipe.

Thanks man. No I had a 5” exhaust but it had a muffler on it. So that was all I deleted in the video.
How do you get your exhaust brake to sound like that ? And are you running any tunes/ egr delete ?
Just turn it on that simple if it's deleted or straight piped
My boss has his 2019 dually straight piped and deleted and pulling his 35 ft gooseneck with the windows up you can’t here that much of it, know when he goes to 5 inch from whatever it is know, I think it’s 4 inch rn, I t will be a lot louder so thst will obviously drown more
I own 4 ram truck 2011 14 19 20 I deleted the 2011 now I don’t really like it too laud for 10 minutes if fine but after that is just to much I like my others nice and quiet

Yea i leave it on auto. If you dont use it the vanes in the turbo will get clogged and then it won't work when you do need/want it. I've also gotten use to it so I always apply minimal brake pressure when slowing down because it obviously helps with braking.

Just quit question for you man so I bought my delete pipe for my 6.7 but by accident ordered the kit for a 2012 ram 6.7 would that fit the 2017 6.7 just the 5" pipe

I dont think you can still buy the flopro 5" here in the us. I did hear they sell them under a different, but I dont remember the name.

It was stock ride height. Then I reverse leveled it. I need to get that video out so you guys can see what it looked like leveled. Much better IMO just not as low as I wanted. Rubbing was very minimal after lowering it.

I think flo pro might be selling their exhaust under a different name. I'd look into that. Its really not loud or obnoxious at all for a 5" straight pipe.

Get a resonator, it'll get rid of the rasp overkill and it'll get rid of drone

@@josesupra i know this exact same setup. At wot is has a honda civic sounds that is deep. The drone at 60mph is horrid for anyone sitting in the back for long trips

So is your truck straight pipe all the way from the turbo? Have you got to tow yet and if you have is it to loud for long distance towing?
Yea its just a straight 5" from the turbo back to the MBRP 6" tip. Its honestly not bad and im so use to it that it sounds kind of quiet again. I've only towed my supra which weighs 3200lbs. So that plus whatever the trailer weighed, maybe 2kish. No crazy drone driving at 80mph, even with the windows up. A 10,000lb load or something like could be a different story though.

It’s a 2016. I haven’t had to take it into the dealer to know if deleting it will effect warranty, but for what I hear it comes down to the dealer and service advisor. Some dealers don’t care if the truck is tuned and deleted. Mine actually just went over 100k though so my warranty is done anyway.
Deleting definitely gets rid of your warranty the iron thing is you probably won’t need it after a delete 😮

Yeah you have to tune it or else it will go into limp mode
@@rickbalderas4033 is a tune necessary for DPF back 5" pipe replacement muffler delete? New pipe would be installed AFTER the DPF and would remove the muffler/resonator.

Bigger will definitely make it louder, but not sure how much louder and If it’s worth it. Exhaust manifold and turbo also change tone and loudness.

It was already deleted but wasn’t a straight pipe. So i just deleted the muffler.

That’s just the way the axle back section of the exhaust is setup. It’s what comes with the flopro kit
