All the series have categories, usually main characters, minor characters, enemies, and items and sorted by the oldest to newest game then any mini-series
I feel like people don't appreciate spirit battles. To me, it's like event battles but every battle is based around a character and I think that fits so well with trying to represent characters that aren't in Smash already. True video game celebration, and if you understand the references that's like a bonus.
Agreed. I love spirit battles. All the nods and references to other series all amazing and really shows Sakurai's love of these franchises. It even inspired me to create my own spirit battles.
I'm in love with the concept of spirits! It makes really spicy and unique battles and collecting them all is also both fun and frustrating And trust me: I am only *one* spirit away from completion
One thing to note about the Metal Mario fight being set in Great Cave Offensive is that it might also represent the cavern in Hazy Maze Cave where you unlock the Metal Mario power-up, which itself was the inspiration for the Meta Crystal stage of Smash 64.
I will be sure to watch all of the episodes of this new series. I love how many references they try to put in, some being genius like Yusuke using Chrom, since they have the same EN and JP VA, as well as both being blue haired sword wielding dudes.
Don’t forgot to point out the Spirit’s types (Attack, Defence, Grab & Neutral) as well since they are also clever references to the character. After enjoying watching you point out all of the Classic Mode references, I am VERY excited for this series about spirit battle references.

About the Toad spirit. The Toad featured in Super Mario Bros. 2 is Blue Toad, which is the same Toad that would later be seen in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario 3D World, and later on in Super Mario Maker 2. The one Toad commonly seen in spinoffs is a separate Toad entirely, with his distinction being his blue coat and red cap.
Super and Poison Mushrooms in Toad's battle could reference his perks in the Mario Kart games. In most of the games he gets mushrooms or triple mushrooms from item boxes more often, and in Super Mario Kart, his special ability as a CPU is throwing poison mushrooms at the other racers.

Dear Aaronitmar, I like all of your "Every {blank} S.S.B.U. videos." but there's some fun "Amiibo" facts you may have overlooked. If a player scans a Wedding Outfit Peach Amiibo or Wedding Outfit Bowser Amiibo, they receive a Spirit of that character (respectively) as well as an AI-controlled Figure Player of the character (respectively). If a player scans a Waluigi , Goomba, or Koopa Troopa Amiibo, they receive a Spirit of that character (respectively). That's all for now, keep up the good work!
So why does the Toad spirit use the mushroom hat, while there's a perfectly good Toad hat, which the Toadette fight uses. I guess it could be a reference to small Toad, as when toad gets hit the spots switch colour but it still is kinda weird.
Slight correction for the rock mario spirit, It is melty Monster galaxy, not Melty Molten. Melty molten Galaxy is from the first game and had no rock mushrooms
Hope you can talk about what does every spirit do (did i spell that right? English is not my first language 😅). For example, why does the Duster Spirit gives you more Foot Attack? Or why does the Paz Ortega Andrade gives you a lot of Bob-ombs?
Not familiar with Duster to explain him (I'll have to look up info on Mother 3 to do so), but as for Paz... In Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Paz had been captured by XOF and they managed to implant bombs inside of her. Big Boss's team were able to remove one of them, but they didn't know that there was a second bomb, and it detonated. This severely crippled Big Boss and cost Miller his arm.

If a player scans a Wedding Outfit Peach Amiibo or Wedding Outfit Bowser Amiibo, they receive a Spirit of that character (respectively) as well as an AI-controlled Figure Player of the character (respectively). If a player scans a Waluigi
, Goomba, or Koopa Troopa Amiibo, they receive a Spirit of that character (respectively).

So why does the Toad spirit use the mushroom hat, while there's a perfectly good Toad hat, which the Toadette fight uses. I guess it could be a reference to small Toad, as when toad gets hit the spots switch colour but it still is kinda weird.
In the fox luigi section, you called them raccoons, when I think they are actually tanooki’s.
No, when they have the full suit Is tanooki, but when they only have the ears and tail Is raccoon

Slight correction for the rock mario spirit, It is melty Monster galaxy, not Melty Molten. Melty molten Galaxy is from the first game and had no rock mushrooms

Hope you can talk about what does every spirit do (did i spell that right? English is not my first language 😅). For example, why does the Duster Spirit gives you more Foot Attack? Or why does the Paz Ortega Andrade gives you a lot of Bob-ombs?
Not familiar with Duster to explain him (I'll have to look up info on Mother 3 to do so), but as for Paz...
In Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Paz had been captured by XOF and they managed to implant bombs inside of her. Big Boss's team were able to remove one of them, but they didn't know that there was a second bomb, and it detonated. This severely crippled Big Boss and cost Miller his arm.
