I’ve listened to this album countless times since September and I still notice new things after watching the videos. The way Snarky blend instruments on this album is so cool. The mix of the moog bass, baritone guitar and clavinet is such a rad sound.
Whenever I mention Snarky Puppy to someone: “Wait - you know Snarky Puppy!?!” A few times I’ve worn SP swag, I’ve had folks yell out “Snarky Puppy!” Even though Snarky Puppy may not be “mainstream” by typical standards, there are a lot of us fans out there. This album and songs like this are the reason why.
this one live hits different. When the bassline drops it feels so good, sometimes they do this thing were they play it in a slower tempo live and its so sick.
@@Marunius yupp. They played it notoriously slow here in México City 3 weeks ago and the vibes were off the charts. JT was def hitting those drums lmao. Whole audience was very into it as u would expect, perfect opener for the set list.
@@emilioguzmanalvarez420JT is the only drummer I've ever heard live that actually felt like he was dragging back the tempo and simply refusing to let anyone get too fast. It was awesome. That snare doesn't miss.
I love the percussion and drums during Maz's solo, and the keyboardists trading solos and licks at the end, and, of course, the insane groove. 3:30-3:59 is such a beautiful moment.
Just saw SP at Chautauqua Institution, NY, (27 June 2023) sporting a 10-member lineup. They were still able to deliver rich sonic scapes with that 'reduced' number, but MAN, I would love to hear this full complement live. What a treat that would be. These videos illustrate the potential that so many instruments and musicians bring to the table.
Until they performed broken arrow live in cleveland and that was it for me !! I kid you not broken arrow sneaks up on you ! Keep it on your mind is probably still the best on the album. Keep it on your mind. Trinity , bet , Honiara , broken arrow , RL, portal . It’s all freaken amazing bro😂
Nice performance! As I listen to your music, I feel like I am on a boat floating in the middle of the sea with you. I am so happy that iI have met the essence of music.
Like a comment said for Free Fall. I just paused life and listened. I had a pretty tricky day of bullshit, and I think that under every circumstances pause your life to listen to music is the best way to live Bonne écoute 🤩
another maz killer!! and the end is righteous groove world. i guess it's true what they say- it's good to be the king(s). thanks guys...now get back to work dammit!! 😎
This song has one of the best mixes I have ever heard, maybe even the best; I truly can't think of anything I have heard that has ever sounded that good.
I so wish I had seen this performance at the recording sessions...the amount of musical mastery here is snarkily amazing. Maz may have stolen the show on this one, but Bobby and Bill are truly brilliant and Shaun is playing like he is truly blessed. a quick shout out to Michael Harrison and Nic Hard for the great work you do putting Snarky Puppy in my ears and in my soul.
Bill having a turn on the whammy bar this time?! Been waiting for this video to drop - and they still never disappoint! And Maz's solo is pure class throughout and let's not forget the expression on Bobby's face during his solo knowing that he pulled off something exquisite!!
like everything u do but damn this one is so damn funky, Love it so much!! Was dancing in my room solo. ;) Thank you for being beautiful vessels of creation!
Just saw them in Ann Arbor. In their own League ;-) Got the Album CD/DVD paid old School in Cash And paid in Cash for the ticket AT THE BOX OFFICE hehehe Credit card company did not make a dollar on me . Straight to the Artist!!!!!!!!
Recorded and filmed March 3-10, 2022, at Deep Ellum Art Company in Dallas, Texas, USA Mixed March 15 - April 7, 2022, at Estudi Vint in Els Prats de Rei, Catalonia, Spain
So uh, any chance you guys will put out a blu ray of the recordings for this album with, say, a 7.1 mix? Also, I’m a big fan of baritone guitar - don’t get to hear that very often
It's my birthday, and what a day for a new Snarky Puppy song. For my birthday I'd like Shaun to be OK. All the best, Bongo
Happy birthday!
Prayers for shaun👍
May he rest in peace
That baseline was seismic low end thick with the right amount of growl.
That whole tone lick on the electric piano at 4:23 was so unexpected but so perfect

Seeing the musicians play helps me hear new stuff… that's why I'm so glad that these videos are coming out weekly now.
It's almost like getting a new release twice!!
I wholeheartedly agree with all your statements...this album has unbelievable depth to it. It's a joy

Ever seen em live? Highly recommended although seeing all of them on tour is rare these days, they got other projects, still worth it
Snarky Puppy!!!
When I close my eyes and hear the groove at 4:00 I'm in a state of fullness and start crying from joy.
Right there with you.
Love the serious face at 4:20 and then the sneaky smile at 4:25

Even slower :D? Cool!!

This is why A.I. will never be as cool as live musicians.
This is what Life is about.
Music is my passion.
Watching these guys perform is in a word... MAGICAL!
I wish I was a muso watching these guys. I’m not and I already know it’s magic. I envy those that can see behind the curtain. Just sublime!
0:15 This intro makes me wanna cry man..
Also 0:57
It's stuff like Bobby Sparks at the end, doing their own mixing. I just keep learning something new every time I watch these.
That crescendo with all the keyboards though, holy shit. I always wondered which key players were playing that. It was all of them, huh? God damn...
...the great thing is you get little surprises like Bill on the Waminet instead of Bobby. You would not know this without the video.
@@lsh3rdYeah! Bill plays it sometimes. In this album, you can see him play it in Pineapple, too.

That would be on my bucket list too..
Not reduced, that's our normal touring band. Sometimes less depending on peoples availability.
2:04 aaah, nice git solo with wah pedal. Ops, nope, whaaaat?! Beautiful.
One of the best tracks on the album

The best jazz band I have ever listen to❤❤
Best band in any category!
They're more than a jazz band, they span so many categories
these cats KNOW they are badass to the core.
The effects on the flugelhorn, that change in dynamics at 3:30, the overall texture of the song. A thing of beauty🥲
I love listening to these songs first, then watching to see how many times I guessed wrong when the drummers switched 😂 It's so seamless
Awesome. Love this. Mission accomplished. Thanks for listening....
BANGER right out of the gate - I had to listen to that first 20 seconds THREE TIMES before listening to the rest of it... THREE MORE TIMES! ❤🙏❤🙏❤
Percursion team is fire. . .great Nate Werth and Keita
Let's not forget Marcelo Wolowski
And Marcelo!
Listening to the album I imagine Bill - Rhoades, Shaun - Hammond, and Bobby - Clavinet.
Nice surprise to see who's really playing in the video!
Sure would love to see a video from the perspective of the sound engineers working on these.
Fiiiiiiiinnnnyyyaaaallllyyyyy. Love this tune so much!!!
FINALLY I GET TO SEE THIS BEAUTIFUL VIDEO
The best Snarky Puppy song since Lingus.
4:00 - 4:14
That's Amazing!
Im not gonna lie

Je suis d'accord avec toi 👍
This Composition will move anyone...!!!!!!!!
The perfect opening to a awesome album!!
That final part with the keys is magical
In the early verses, melody is on the beat, bass off the beat, so they interlock in the funkiest way. Brilliant, Michael!
Inspired by many Funk/R&B bands from the 80's.
4:39 the run is so so soooo good
For me, this is the perfect album and concert opener.
This band are insanely good, another absolute gem, I can't get enough of them!
Michael plays synth bass like an angel from heaven
That groove pocket is so deep you can pull up your socks!!!
Brilliant quote man!! And yep, it sure is :)
Best reggae fusion I’ve heard in a while.
Reggae Fusion? This song? Interesting...
Incredibly cool! LOVE Snarky Puppy. Peace from Detroit MI.
Reminds me of something like an old Jeff Beck or Return to Forever song, deconstructed, everything at 1/4 speed and twice the musical depth. Awesome.
Tightest sounding snares all around. And Snarky Puppy blows my mind! Love this album!
I unironically think this is the second best song they've ever made, above everything except Lingus.
another maz killer!! and the end is righteous groove world. i guess it's true what they say- it's good to be the king(s). thanks guys...now get back to work dammit!! 😎
Definitely “kept ” and stuck in my “mind”!
This song has one of the best mixes I have ever heard, maybe even the best; I truly can't think of anything I have heard that has ever sounded that good.
Great track and classic Snarky theme ...and great solo by Maz :)
I’m so glad they’re uploading weekly man.. 😄
Saw this in St. Louis, absolutely magical way to open the show
One of my favorites from the album! Happy to finally see the video for it! ❤️
Loved to see M.Lettieri with his baritone guitar. This track is marvelous 🎉😮
I have listened to this song live in Istanbul last November, and it was fire 🔥🔥amazing ❤❤
My God I was waiting for this videoooooooo
I CANT EVEN. Just incredible
Great to see the video for this one. And the mixing, good god! Absolutely Tremendous
How do they keep doing this. Another masterpiece!!

Hope to "live" one day a live like this one (in France maybe ?...).
Thanks a lot!
Wow! Never knew I needed to hear a distortion pedal trumpet solo, but uh yeah, that was the real freaking deal.
Wow, huge ups to the sound engineers especially!!!
one of my fav from the whole album.
Randy Brecker would be so proud... Well done solo!
My favorite !!!
Da Boyz! I remember when...
Amazing. All of them phenomenal musicians
That J dilla violin pedal drone behind the intro is the sauce
Another one of my favourites 🙌
Been waiting for this music video for so long, I'm so glad it's finally here! 😀
Damn this is a jam
Love that vibe! Great song.
Beyond awesome!
Who knew that kind of cool could grow up in Texas?
Texans!
5:28 is way too short. Gorgeous piece of music.
When I heard this I got an idea stuck in my mind. I would love to hear them with Steve Vai as a guest.
Maybe if they do a Family Dinner Volume 3, that'd be cool
앙 기모띄라는 말 밖에 안나오네연~
Sooooo Good !!
That opening synth bass line is just so good!

Obra de Arte!
Wicked
2:10 I had no idea this was a flugelhorn solo the whole time...
That's why these videos are such a treat! The "that was THAT instrument?" or "that was HIM playing that?".
Chills up n down meh mf spine!!
Saiu mar uma pra nós estuda, 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Лайк! Круто!
This is THE ultimate GTA VI soundtrack!
It's almost like Drunken Master as a musical style but classier
Snarky Puppy rules🤌🤌🤌
who needs an electric guitar when you've got a flugelhorn?
Where was this video😢

That groove is filthier than Randy Quaid's beard. Damn.
👏👏👏👏
I hope shaun martin is doing well

Blu Ray.... Extremely doubtful.....
Baritone Gtr... Lettieri has 2 albums of Baritone songs. Check em out...
Everyone talking about the song and sound... Someone tell me something about this venue, studio, or whatever it is that they're at!
