I too cried when I saw them live in Munich on monday. So much, that I actually had to hold myself back because it hit me so hard my outburst of feelings would have been just weird at a concert. ;-)
I was in the audience for this one! It was an absolutely stunning experience and this is one of my favorite songs on the new album! Since 2013 I've seen Snarky Puppy live 14 times and even with all those shows I STILL can't wait for the next time I see them live!
@@MissNaturalMystery I follow them on all of their social media and they made an announcement for the sale of tickets. I bought my tickets the minute they went on sale!
It’s a really interesting vibe! Looks like everyone is hearing the mix on headphones 🤩 no one’s really grooving to hard in the audience but looked like an amazing performance to see
I was listening to this, not watching, while at work. When I heard the solo, I came back to see who ON GUITAR was playing it. It took a couple of replays to figure it out. 😅
Haha, I was fooled!! I was only listening to the video and not watching it as I was doing other things but when I heard something that caught my ear, I'd go back to the video and watch. I'm a guitarist so when a guitar solo started, I'd check in to see who's playing. Bob....ok, then Mark...fine, then...WOW!? Is that really Chris McQueen now?! Nope....Bobby Sparks!! 😀
I love the way the tom drum fill at 5:53 foreshadows the melodic motif later Larnell is the most likely person to do something like this. The little details adds
Haha...this is the best song on the album hands down!! And I'm not in the video...omg!! I so wanted to be in this one!! i'll have to get some humble pie and eat half of it...I was there on a night they played this song...you can't see me but I was there!
I'm quite jealous of the people sitting in the audience 😊But I also feel lucky to have seen them on Monday in Munich, it was a blast! I'm also happy they decided to return to these video-recordings, it definetly enhances the experience!
Several of the band placed themselves next to the merchandising area for photos or autographs. I don't know if they always do that after concerts - but that was the icing on the cake!
It's nothing more than brutally shitty music plated in gold; I would be jealous too to have a couple of those ingots, they should donate them and find an honest job
Saw them perform this in Cincinnati Saturday night. They nearly brought the house down it was so good. I can imagine it'll make a fantastic set-closer in the future.
Everytime I listen to this (and every song on the album) it gets better and better. Thanks so much for posting the videos of these tunes...such a joy to watch, dance, groove and play along.
Completely epic! Love all the influences in this track. James Brown horns and bridge modulation, Steely Dan changes under second guitar solo, then a practically Dream Theatre'esque prog-rock shuffle on the outro with the completely outrageous keyboard solo. And dig the seamless handoffs between the 3 drummers!
RIP to one of the greats. Shaun Martin, you will be SORELY missed by humanity.
So many bangers on this album. I've been listening non-stop since it was released.
I haven't listened to any other music for two weeks...every single day.
It's on repeat and never ceases to inspire
Me, too!! It's been on repeat at work, home and in the car!! Can't get enough!! ;-)
@@David-iv6je We do need three of everything, especially if they’re playing with Snarky Puppy! 😝😜😁
@@David-iv6je I'm guessing you don't play drums??
Larnell is such a character! Throwing his damn sticks at the end made me laugh, hahahaha

I've literally cried with joy for hours on end watching bands of all kinds, it really touches something deep inside.

Happy musicians like this still exist
me too
I had no idea the last solo wasn't an actual guitar!!! That's why I love those videos & looking forward to the rest of them.
Same! I thought that bobby sparks’ solo was Mark Lettieri when I first heard it
@@b.maximebk lol it sounds nothing like mark lettieri
I thought it was a Bob Lanzetti solo from the audio only listen. Absolutely sick from Bobby Sparks.
mans playing the hell outta that contraption
concocting with the doohickey
I’ve never seen such a fantastic thingymajig player
Agreed , Best whatchamacallit player ever
Mean guitar solo by Bob Lanzetti!
Just look at all the joy in this room. Music is truly a gift from above.
You can never guess how a Snarky Puppy song will end😭
But at the end it could never have been any different

I got see them play this album live and it was the most amazing concert I have been to all my life.
this is surely in my top 3 best in this album for sure
3rd solo was not a guitar?!?! my mind is blown. For sure one of my favorites of the album.
Check out "chonks" if you havent already. Its on snarkys previous record "Inmigrance" final solo will be familiar ;)

When that keyboard line comes in at 6:14, you know the song is going into a new gear.
Fantastic. Just carries the whole thing.

The shuffle! During recordings, they played this song last of most of the days.
What never ceases to amaze about this band is how much humility and respect is shown between each of the band members
Because they all know they are nothing but mediocre players.
Groove so big you can fit the state of Texas in it! Snarky Puppy slams!
Holy shit, what a band. These guys COOK.
Larnell's vibe on this project is so infectious.

Such a wickedly deep pocket, plus they still manage to throw in beautiful soundscapes 5:56. SO GOOD
yes it sounds good
I'm curious. Where are those sounds coming from?

Wow never noticed that before. Incredible.
Honestly I love the organ bits that Shaun plays after the song
Jeez, the Groove is deep in the pocket on this one. Definitely has that TOTO vibe! I can see Jeff & Mike Porcaro smiling from above.
Man, JT absolutely SENDS IT on the last few minutes of this tune. Soooooooooooo good!!!!
This is what I call an "instant classic"
How can this many musicians playing sound this tight? Incredible!
Mark and Larnell just killed it ! And Bobby of course, what a solo !
The greatest guitar solo was played on keys :)

that fckn clavinet solo to go out!! jeez!! 👏🏾
I just discovered Snarky Puppy a few days ago (kind courtesy a friend), and I'm loving it! You guys made me fall in love with jazz.
This is not jazz. It's fancy rock and roll.
This outfit has already established itself as the future of prog rock / jazz funk fusion and all that good stuff. Continuously impressed by them.

This album is the best that they’ve released honestly so many good songs on it basically every song on the album is on repeat for me

Sure, and it made my head Bobbin'
I am so grateful for Snarky Puppy. You have genuinely improved my life and brought so much joy into it too.
5:56 touched my soul
The repeating riff that begins at 6:15 owes something (or a lot) to "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" by the Beatles.
