- I'm a metal drummer of 12 years trying to expand my hermit-like mind to new music! This one was soooo epic and I can't wait to listen to more Sabaton! I believe I mispronounced Hannes after editing the video so forgive me bro!

Original Audio: • SABATON - Night Witche...
I was first to comment, by the way. Doesn't that mean I win some money or something 😁f?!!
:D THANK YOU GENE, Ill go ahead and pin your comment :) Thank you so much for watching!
@@IronSmokeLTD oh dude, I appreciate that...you didn't have to do it, but I appreciate it. And you're welcome for me watching, but I should be thanking you. You have a great reaction channel. I wish there were more I could do to help you get more subs and stuff. I love you're reactions, especially the break downs. I know a little about music, and drumming, but I am learning even more from you. Again, I thank you my friend!!
Sabaton only make songs about events in war history, they even got their own history channel on youtube, where the members of the band explain the story in the songs in details, a lot of stories you didnt know about, and very good ones, and also very accruate, Sabaton do their homework for these stories.. songs often got very cathy chorus, and story are well told in the songs.. no one else quite like Sabaton, its really a unique band.. and a great live band..
Such a unique perspective for a band. I'm loving it though. More to come!!!! Thank you for watching!
It sucks they aren't the radio 😕
@@littlebigkicker They are here in Sweden, usually they play things from the Carolus rex album like the song "Carolus rex".
As you approach the Christmas season, start thinking about watching Christmas Truce. Amazing video production and you might need a tissue! And do not stop until the credits are over or you will miss the prize!
En Vistid I Krig in Swedish with subtitles at this same concert is excellent, and and Sabaton exploration should include the Christmas Truce video, but Sabaton is almost as big a rabbithole as Nightwish...in fact Floor, who is married to Sabaton 's drummer Hannes, sings the outro in Christmas Truce
I networking is crazy. I have so much more to hear!
En livstid i krig its called. Use captions to understand what its about
@@IronSmokeLTD on the subject of networking, since u reacted to Epica, did u know Simone the singer roommated with Floor in music school and Floor sings with Simone on several songs? The European metal community is very inclusive... Marco from NW performed with Ayreon, original NW singer Tarja is friends with Floor, Kamelot has worked with most of these bands as well....
@@fredriknilsson6042 thanks for correcting my typo!
I'm literally constantly surprised from these bands lol Thank you!
Here's a drumcam video of Hannes doing "Night Witches" from 2015: ua-cam.com/video/fFOR3-H-NVU/v-deo.html .
No , not an artillery barrel, that's a f...ing Tank as the drum riser. lol
Oh, yeah, you're gonna love this band. They're from Sweden, formed in 1999. Lead singer Joakim Broden and bassist Par Sundstrom are the primary songwriters. They are the only original members. Tommy Johansson and Chris Rorland are the current guitarists. Chris, Tommy, Hannes , and Par, all do backing vocals. Tommy actually has an awesome voice, he does vocal covers on his own you tube channel.
As I mentioned , most of their songs are about Military History. they tell the story without taking sides. If, you're interested in what the songs are about, check out the Sabaton History Channel on UA-cam. This song, No Bullets Fly, and The Red Baron also have animated story videos by Yarnhub, which are worth watching.
HELL YEAH!!!!! lolol oooo yeah I found some good stuff here. Lmk any other big songs I can maybe react to?? I'm playing video games just jammin Night Witches along with my other stuff :P
@@IronSmokeLTD Video Games? The video for their song Bismarck was made in conjunction with Wargaming , who make the World of Warships Game.🤘🤘
sabaton is my fav band
The name drummer Sabaton is Hannes van Dahl and is husband Floor Jansen from Nightwish. Find in the YTB drumcam video.
Great band, check out the official videos for bismark and christmas truce.
Can you increase the volume of your videos? It's pretty low. Also, feel free to pause and comment, I know there are some people who freak out about it but they are the ones who will just listen to the song and then bail at the end. I do enjoy your breakdown and comments, great job!
Sure Allan I'll keep that in mind next time I'm editing! Thank you so much for watching!
@@IronSmokeLTD thank you, just trying to be constructive, keep it up 🤘🔥
I totally concur! Don’t listen to the whiners who complain about pausing. We are here to watch your reaction and the best explanations are at the moment! If someone doesn’t want your input, they can just go watch the song in their own sandbox!
His practice kit is in the background of lots of Floor's home videos.
I need to listen to Sabaton more often. I practically only know Ghost Division which I really like a lot but this was a great song too.
Floor and Hannes met when Sabaton was touring with Nightwish - rest is history
Almost exactly how I met my wife, but at a band practice :D Thanks for watching Susan!
animated story video is a must
Tommy Johansson one of the guitarist has one of the best male vocalist I've ever heard also he's a multi instruments great guitarist, keyboard player, I believe he plays the drums to don't know how good he is never seen him play, for giggles he does covers on you tube just FYI
Sabaton is the best way to learn history
From a drum aspect I always thought the opening and closing drums symbolized the multi layer bombing runs and them hitting at slightly different times. Maybe not but for me that’s always how I felt about it. Subscribed 🤘
That's such a unique perspective Slick! I can see that now that you mentioned it! Their lights and pyro were on POINT! Thank you for watching!
Their live shows are all epic! They’re currently on tour here in the US, while the production is scaled down a lot, they still have a mini tank and a lot of the props. I just saw them in Dallas last week, while smaller in scale it was still an amazing show, and bonus, Epica was their opener! I recommend anyone on the fence, go see them, you will not be disappointed!!
Gonna see them in Pittsburgh in a couple weeks. Can’t wait 🤘
I’m so jealous you get to see them, lol!😂
Great first choice for a song from this band. It's amazing Hannes can even see the drums at times with his hair going nuts. He's worse than his wife in that respect. 😃
LOL! I am jealous of the hair sooooo much! I'm bout to go buy some better shampoo or something :D Thank you for watching!
Sabaton 😙😙😙
Orbit Culture - Vultures Of North 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great reaction as always to a great song. Knew you'd like them! Glad you chose this song instead of what most people hit first with Sabaton. Keep up the awesome work and looking forward to more!
You're the best! Thank you for watching!
As a drummer you should check out their song panzerkampf which features some pretty interesting drum work. Also try Ghost Division which is one of their go to show openers which also starts out with drums setting the beat of the song.
Not sure if you caught it, but Hannes is left handed, so could be why some of the parts were in different spots. Sabaton is great, and all of their songs are about military history so at least do what you did here and find out what the song is about. If you want even more info they have a great Sabaton History channel on UA-cam, where a historian friend of theirs talks about the story behind the song and one of the band members (usually Joakim or Pär) talks about the song itself.
Im left handed as well!!! I'll try to check it out! Thank you Brian!
These guys are awesome...I LOVE their lyrics!!! I really want to see them live, but I live in deep south of the US, in the midst of the bible belt. Even though things have changed, Sabaton just wouldn't make any money around here. I may have to travel, which I love to do anyway!
R.I.P. Major Marina Raskova, Hero of the Soviet Union and Mother of the Night Witches
There is a channel of RADIO TAPOK, a Russian guy doing cover versions of songs by different artists. He has cooperated with Sabaton, and they did cover version of his song. The interesting part is that he localizes lyrics in Russian, and does it really well, but, nevertheless Russian is grammatically different, so it affects rhythm. Not very much, and yet.
Hi, do check out 'Attack of the dead men ' or 'Red Baron ' from the same tour. Great stuff! (And if you are comfortable with another language, 'En livstid i krig' live from Gothenburg. Really powerful! (Use subtitles)
There is a funny picture of one of Irene Jansen’s kids wearing a shirt that says something like “my uncle works in a tank”.
:D :D :D I loved this show, I've heard Rammstein has EPIC shows as well.
If ou are up for it, do a battle of the bands between Sabaton and Amaranthe, both with the song "82nd all the way". and finish up by the life preformance where both bands preform the song together
Hi,great reaction. Here are some more info for you. Before Hannes Van Dahl joined Sabaton he was the drummer for swedish prog metal band Evergrey. Evergrey also has a duet with Floor, named In Orbit released i belive in 2016. I can recommend Evergrey with Save us, released earlier this year. Jonas Ekdahl are their drummer.
Hannes is a bit underrated in my opinion. Your wife has good taste in music😁. I've said it before but here it comes again. I like your reactions. Don't say your sorry being excited over music (drumming) is a gift and it makes me smile.
🤓🇸🇪🇺🇦🕊
Big thanks :)
From what I understand Hannes is left handed and leftfooted ( not sure that’s a word 😂) so his kit is set up differently than most.
I know nothing about drumming but enjoy your reactions an break downs 👍🏼🤘🏼
I'm left handed but I play traditional style! I see now how his setup is! SO SICK He's got beautiful cymbals... Thanks for watching!
Hey smoke it’s awesome that you’re doing Sabaton one of my favorite bands now you have to check out the yarn hub version of this video totally cool.
I'll check it out! Thanks Duane!
Sabaton is great live but also have so extremely good videos. This song if you watch animated Story video you get a different feel. So watch it for your self then react to No bullets fly animated STORY video.
After I finished this video, I went back and watched the animated version of this song. Such cool stuff from them and they WILL be back on the channel!
@@IronSmokeLTD I agree that the animated no bullets fly is pretty amazing, check it out!!
Dude that's how you do it this band kicks ass all war story's need to do video or live to Bismark this singer is a showman good band cool shot of drums yours are nice too
Thanks a ton for the kind words and watching!!!!!
Maybe it's obvious to you but the drummer is left handed which makes it look odd the first times you see them. Their stage set is quite interesting. The singer's in-ears are barbed wire and the mic stands are m16s...Always a military theme.
So badass! I can't wait to see more of these guys. Thanks Anders!
did you notice Hannes is a lefty
I believe Hannes is a lefty drummer and has his kit setup left handed which is why he is using his right foot on the high hat.
I SEE NOW. I'm also left-handed but play conventionally. I've been used to the same setup for so long, I'm starting to think about switching it up... we'll see. Thank you Des!
As a drummer you might want to look into xjapan Yoshiki
I would suggest Fields of Verdun
OO That sounds cool, I'm barely familiar with Verdun and WW1. Thank you Galad!
Outstanding! If you like history, just listen to Sabaton. The one called "Christmas Truce" from WWI will make you choke up.
React to this song in December as it’s now regarded as a Christmas song
Hannes is left handed and left fototed so I guess it looks inverted to you for that reason.
I really like the animated video for this song too. It's so good. Check it out too. :)
