in fact, the explanation for why he holds the drumsticks with the other side is very simple. when Evgeniy was just learning to play and was a student, he had a shortage of money, when his drumsticks broke, ron could not afford to buy new ones. Therefore, he turned the broken sticks upside down and played. It became a habit and he began to play like that.

Great and informative reaction. Always love to hear someone who really knows his stuff describe and explain it. I am still amazed at how people can do the things drummers do...talk about multitasking. And I have to wonder how much that mask interferes with breathing and vision. But it looks wicked cool. Can you explain one thing? I heard someone refer to "playing open hand," what exactly does that mean, if anything.
BTW, as an engineer, I can tell you the direct drive is quicker and more precise since it eliminates flex and play in the system. The only drawback is it has to be more properly aligned to prevent binding. Again, thanks for sharing, it was interesting. Keep rocking🤘🤘🤘
