Man is 78 years old and still touring. If you ever get the opportunity to see him do not pass it up. A lot of the older artists I've seen in the last few years voices are not what they once were (Elton, Bob Seger, many others). Still great to see them perform live mind you. But this man still sounds PERFECT! It's absolutely amazing!
Just amazing great music for the soul. Wore this record out at high-school parties in the 70s...SILK DEGREES. Great music unites us all and God knows we need cohesion and kindness! Please keep playing this great stuff so I can go back to a better place in my mind. God bless America 🇺🇸 🙏🏼 and 🇺🇸 🙏🏼 YOU
I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see ppl rediscover this TREASURE! Been listening to Boz since the mid 70s. Not a clinker in his entire catalogue!
William Royce Scaggs. A very unique vocal tones and style. I’ve seen “The BOZ” Live 3 times. Always an awesome show. The Ladies throw their underwear on stage each tune. "We're All Alone" brings them to tears every time.
I went to one maybe 2 shows where Boz Scaggs was headlining or opening. In that same era, Police and U2 were no names just coming to USA not even on the radio airwaves yet. I went to a Blood Sweat & Tears show that just blew me away. The brass section was amazing.
The brothers of Airplay Beats never fail me….love your insight coupled with your desire to explore…I look for you daily! Keep doin what you do…no one does it better!
No WAY this sounds "'80s "!!!!! 100% not. Ever. The "sound" is 1970s, straight-up. ANY other idea??: You be trippin'! [Although: It WAS released in 1980. That is true. (But: 1980 IS, actually, "still in the '70s." factually. (Different discussion.}. ...anyway....]
Airplay Beats Brother's killing it again and again. You're driving the fans crazy with all these great tunes (most never play). Teaching facts at the Airplay Beats College Of Musical Knowledge by the Professors preaching the truth about music.
Boz Scaggs is 79 years old now and still touring. I believe this live version of Breakdown Dead Ahead is about 10 or 11 years ago. I don't know how he can still sing so well. He's very precise with everything he does.
Seen Boz almost every year since 1975! Yes a die hard fan. When Boz belts this one out, the audience gets up on their feet. Boz is one helluva cool dude.(Of course Ms Monet and Barbara are the BEST back up singers ever)
Boz Scaggs was fantastic. Danger there's a breakdown dead ahead Just maybe you're in way above your head I may burn, might upset you But you know I'd never let you down No, no, no No, no, no No, no, no, no, no, no...
Yup. He received a scholarship to attend a private school in Dallas, St. Mark's School of Texas. At St. Mark's he met Steve Miller, who helped him to learn the guitar at age 12.
Boz Skaggs is one of those artists that I just want to run and throw my arms around to ever so briefly convey my gratitude for so many hours of sheer delight. Can't even imagine the number of times a song of his demands I take a break and just listen, always feeling like I just went somewhere else and now must get my bearings in this world.
Boz is a national treasure. Just saw him last year. Still going strong in his 70’s! I highly recommend Look What You’ve Done To Me as it beautifully features his incredible backup singers.
Mr. Smooth, Boz Scaggs Gentlemen check out the live performance of Love Look What You've Done to Me. Keep em coming guys!! You've my favorite new channel. Thx
As soon as I heard the guitar on this song, I couldn’t watch it. I don’t know where they got this version, but without Steve Lukather playing the guitar on this is not worth watching to me. Steve Lukather even came up with the sound. I don’t even know if there’s a video of him playing this song on You Tube. But I love him playing on it! ❤️ Luke is the best guitarist to me!
Boz Scaggs has such a long history, His old music is excellent. Check out the bluesy "Loan Me a Dime" (which Duane Allman played on Boz's first album) Boz played it at this show (if it's 2010 one) Best to watch it live - outstanding. Also "I'll Be Long Gone", "Another Day". Thanks guys for this reaction!
“Loan me a dime” from this same show... drew zing on lead guitar 🎸 or the original from 1969 with Duane allman on lead guitar 🎸 please thanks..happy opening day ⚾️
"Boz Skaggs Greatest Hit's Live". Not a better concert out there on DVD. Every song is near perfection. Great musicians/singers backing up a complete class act. Recorded at The great Amarican Music Hall in San Francisco. Released in 2003 I think. I have three copies. The way live music should sound. Pick a song...any song, and you'll enjoy it!

Hey guys you're correct, nobody features the background singers like Boz... Check out Miss Sun, Miss Monique is mesmerizing. The other singer Jordin Sparks is also a phenomenal solo artist as well. Our music today missing the background singers, they add so much to the enjoyment of the song. 💕 Bring them back bring them back quick!!😊❤
Boz is a deep dude when it comes to channeling real emotion. His lost-at-love songs “Sierra” & “Lost It” are tops in that category for me. No doubt he knows all about the actual blues, especially considering how the poor guy lost his son to a heroin overdose at a young age.
It’s the 70’s Classic Rock Era guys, not 80’s. It’s cool. 👌Boz has been hangin since the 60’s. Early work with Steve Miller. (Steve Miller btw, direct connection to the master himself, Les Paul) 👈😉
Boz Scaggs is SO underated...Still... I still have a massive amount of the music you guys react to on vinyl and although it's all been transferred to digital in some shape, or format, nothing sounds better than the vinyl running through a 40-year-old Marantz. But I do enjoy listening to it all again with you guys enjoying the same quality we thought would be on the radio forever.
This is a good modern performance of his song, but it pales in comparison to the originally released recording... Either way, Boz is a really class act... A really nice guy on top of that, too!
This band is tight. This version sounds better than the original which I had on vinyl. David Foster composed this arrangement plus he is on piano. Everything Mr. Foster touches turns to gold. He has the touch. I wanted to recognize the "back up" singers. They soound fantastic. Thanks for picking this live version, guys.
No, it does NOT sound "better than the original!" No way! The tempo is slower by 10-15 b.p.m. It does not HIT the way it SHOULD! THAT is, 100%, a weak-point. (Also: NOT having "Luke" -Steve Lukather- doing the guitar solo is, ALWAYS, a "points-off" proposition!🤘🤘 Facts.)
It wasn't my type of music but Boz Scaggs was a big deal. He was sort of the big city version of Lyle Lovett. Good concerts to take dates to. That I did. I wasn't Mr smooth at all. Seems like I took a lot of girls to concerts in those years LoL! Well a couple maybe we're girlfriends at some point. This was when humans went on dates. Telephones were intimidating objects. I laugh at myself now. Anyway, yeah this was date music I would 'tolerate' to get to first base. Confucius say only take date to concert if been on second base already.
This is superb, but have a listen to the original because Steve Lukather's solo is much better. This version gets it about right for the first section, but then loses its way. He may just be trying something different, but the original is just a perfect fit.
No WAY this sounds " '80s "!!!!! 100% not. Ever. The "sound" is 1970s, straight-up. ANY other idea??: You be trippin'! [Although: It WAS released in 1980. That is true. (But: 1980 IS, actually, "still in the '70s." factually. (Different discussion.}. ...anyway....]
Dang I remember when this came out and this is still awesome!
A fantastic song released in 1980 but it’s got that classic sound that makes it as fresh today as it was 43 years ago. A really great song. 😀✌️
This concert is on youtube ....watched many times.......all Boz hits and this band is the best in LA
100 thumbs up. This whole live DVD is outstanding.
One of my favorite music dvds!
The back up singers were killing it!
Monet and Barbara are perfect with Boz.
Lowdown, my favorite song from BOZ...Bring back fond memories
Thank You

Lol. I’ve seen him at least three times- missed the panties. He is hot though!
I went to one maybe 2 shows where Boz Scaggs was headlining or opening. In that same era, Police and U2 were no names just coming to USA not even on the radio airwaves yet. I went to a Blood Sweat & Tears show that just blew me away. The brass section was amazing.

This is simply outstanding, brilliant!
Y’all should watch this whole concert!! It is so awesome. And the girls are the best.❤❤❤❤
One of the greatest blessings 🙌
Nice job ! The rest of this concert, and rest of his hits from recent times, is that button hit away, high quality, like that one.
Boz Scaggs was fantastic.

Band was on fire! Background singers feeding the fire!
Boz is so smooth and has so many good songs
Man this whole live concert is Killer!
absolute perfection.
Boz is a legend.
Boz was the MAN!
Boz Scaggs has been paying his dues for a long time...I remember seeing him in the Steve Miller Blues Band at the Afterthought in Vancouver in 1966.
Yup. He received a scholarship to attend a private school in Dallas, St. Mark's School of Texas. At St. Mark's he met Steve Miller, who helped him to learn the guitar at age 12.
💃🏻🔥🔥🔥☄️ BOZ SKAGGS! 👏🏼👏🏼😁
I saw ‘down’ and feared it was another Lowdown reaction.
Thanks for doing this song. It has lots going for it.
Bozz always smooth as silk pajamas
I really love your guys ability to explain how wonderful these songs are..
This song is so damn good!
wow he still sounds good.. awesome video..
“I May Burn”…..thanks for playing guys! Great version!
Thank you!!

Great performance! Boz delivered for years, great writer, player and singer!
This whole show is amazing!! Drew Zingg kills it!!!
Boz is a national treasure. Just saw him last year. Still going strong in his 70’s!

Mr. Smooth, Boz Scaggs
Gentlemen check out the live performance of Love Look What You've Done to Me. Keep em coming guys!! You've my favorite new channel. Thx
Drew Zingg toured with SD on the band’s 1993 tour (its first since 1974).
Drew is an amazing guitarist . You can hear on Alive in america soloing on Green Earings.
I recognised him from SD but didn't know his name. Thanks - he ate it all up on this song.
I've been listening to this over and over lately. Along with Lido Shuffle and Lowdown. This version is the bomb. 🔥
The Great!!! Drew Zingg!!!! saw Him with Steely Dan
Yes, his voice is definitely recognizable
I strongly suggest you hear this awesome song from Boz.... I know them all and this might be my favorite..... "Time"
You guys are the best!
Love the A's hats!!
Boz is coming to Macon, Ga in a few weeks and this boy is going! He hasn't lost a thing, vocally.
Yes, seeing him in Hershey in a few months.
Check out "Love look what you have done to me" from this 2004 concert.
More please 😊😊😊😊😊
this song came out in 1980 and Steve Lukather from Toto played the guitar and solos on the album

You should have reacted to the live version in Japan in the early 80s when he was at his peak.

he made an excellent tune about 20 years ago that got very little airplay that should have gotten more..."I'll be the one" check it.
I think that was released in 1980. He rung in the 80's.
