I'm 62 and I love how Boz is singing this right here just as much as I loved it when it first came out. I'm in my kitchen cooking and jamming to this and I know I was doing something and jamming to it back then. BTW ...LOVE the back up singers!!!
Guitar solo was just PHENOMENAL!!!!! Those beautiful ladies in the real singing section outdid themselves....Absolutely! I remember when I first heard this song in about `77...I was hooked
I'm a boss cast back in 1976 and came out with the hit song Low Down and I've been a big fan of his ever since and thanks for allowing me here Boz Scaggs today with Breakdown Dead Ahead the first time I heard that song and I don't know when thank you UA-cam so much
What a superb performance. The guitarist reinterprets Steve Lukathers solo without detracting too much from the original. The audio mix is flawless . Here's hoping Bozz tours Oz in 2022 once the international borders open post bloody covid !
I Love Boz and I Love The American Music Hall S.F. First time I saw Boz Scaggs was a Winterland in S.F. around 72 or 73. I saw Boz there a few times as I recall. I saw all the best of that era there.
Does anyone recall a New Years Eve concert at Paramount Theater in Oakland late 70's? I was in high school, took a date to see Boz (we didn't know anything about him), became fan for life, but can't find any record of that concert.. full orchestra, of course they rocked the place.. any info appreciated.
Danger there's a breakdown dead ahead/ Just maybe you're in way above your head/ I may burn, might upset you/ But you know I'd never let you down/ No, no, no/ No, no, no/ No, no, no, no, no, no...
How can anyone not enjoy this cat's music. Just as good as the original.

The 70s and 80s had the best.

Git ya sum uh dat!
They DEFINITELY are AMAZING
No they don't. It's obvious to the most casual observer (or listener) that you have no concept of what a backup singer is.
A favorite of mine. Great vocals and Drew Zingg on guitar-just fantastic!!!!
2019 and still loving this song...
June 2023 and this song holds up just fine!

I was there, my feelings too
my goodness awesome, and the left backing vocalist, stunning.my goodness she is beautiful
So tight and in tune. This resonates through my core. Go Boz man.
The background singers are amazing.
SOLID! And them background vocals...
Yes Sir, back ground singers ain't play'n.
It’s like going back in a Time Machine. Thing change , people die but a great song will always be a great tune
Pure sonic alchemy!!
Those backup singers are incredible! Who are they?
Absolutely AWESOME!
I've watched this many times, and it's very well done!!!!! Amazing 😁

Silky smooth Boz!!

Brilliant!
Great back up singers! Who are they? They are really adding some spice here,a little low in the audio mix..
Masterpiece!
killer song. period. the end!
Love me some Boz so tight
Great song
One of a few songs that finds itself on every one of my playlists
Background singers are crazy good, one small detail, the drummer hasn’t quite god that porcaro feel, but then again not many have? Shannon forest has.
日本語で失礼いたします😂けっして若くわないですが、ボス節炸裂です。いつまでも、元気でがんばり続けて欲しいです❤🎉😊😊
Getting so excited to see this in July
Scaggs > Cooler than the other side of the Pillow!🤘🏻
GREAT take!!
Bad ass song.
Guitar player is a beast.
Danger there's a breakdown dead ahead/
Just maybe you're in way above your head/
I may burn, might upset you/
But you know I'd never let you down/
No, no, no/
No, no, no/
No, no, no, no, no, no...
Live in Budapest is simply the best!
Sorry I would be on my feet dancing
Lead guitar!!!,
That's Drew Zing, he's one bad ass guitarist. Played with Steely Dan, they only used perfection.
Don't get any better...
Is that the same lead guitarist that played with Steely Dan?
He never ages lol
Where was this?
At the American Music Hall in San Francisco. Full concert is on DVD
Boz is great, but those two ladies just steal the show!
Stupid comment
I love Boz but the guy on guitar can shred it.
Drew Zingg I believe.
The rhythm is monotonous and mechanical. It's far behind the great grooves of Rick Marotta and David Hungate.
Says the snobby music critic who thinks he knows enough to make comment.
Yeah .... whatever man.
You obviously don't recognize a groove when you here one.
Wrong, Grasshopper. Have some razzzzzberries.
Or Jeff Porcaro and Carlos Vega, they both played with Boz Scaggs. (Not at the same time!)
Seems to lack energy. The tempo is off. The guitar player is kick ass tho
There's always one...
Drew bring it home...
