When you throw out a Pokémon to gather resources for you (this includes iron on the ground or medicated leeks), you can swap to another Pokémon while the other is still in the animation and throw that one to get something else
The tips are appreciated but several of these the game literally does tell you, like with bagin there's a mandatory cutscene where he explains bag expansion to you.
100% agree. Even if you skip most of the text it repeats for you.
Yeah but does it force you to talk to the guy? Or does he just have a quest icon? I can't remember.
@SUlClDOL 27 CLUB no he literally stops you as you try to exit the headquarters lol.
Same - even the pokemon bonus catch from behind.. I think that might even be a required part?
Yup
Heres one i havent seen anyone mention. In battle, if you have a status effect like poison, you arent immune to other status effects anymore. I was poisoned then got hit with flamethrower and i got switched to being burned.
which is good bc why would you? irl you could be all the above. It makes the game harder.
@@timothyhales7104 i agree. Makes it more dynamic and opens up new battle strategies
I would like to add something else I noticed, any new status effects cancel out any current status effects. I got poisoned then was hit with drowsy, but I wasn’t poisoned anymore.
@@evancendrowski687 You dont really need strategy for battling in this game since it's so easy
It's bcs the status moves are not stable anymore, every status move is now valid for 3 turns and after that disappears as confusion in previous games for example
I am addicted to this game. Last night I look at the clock and I’m like damn I have to get up in 3 hours for work lmao.
Same 😂😂😂😂
You almost never need to use the run option in fights as you can just manually run away.
You can speak to your pokemon and press Y A and B to do emotes with them :)
You can also fast travel by pressing X while your map is open and selecting where you want to go. Super convenient hopefully next time they let you go anywhere without needing to drop by the village first before going to a different area.
Well they do this bcs you will lose all your progress if you decide to go straight to other location
@@askanderize that don't make sense. cus when i was doing quest, they auto teleport me here and there
and my progress still saved until i talk to the proflfessor
On the day/night cycle, you don't even need to talk to the dude, you can just go straight to the tent and do it from there
To add to the number 1 entry, if you hit the first pokemon you throw out with the other 5s pokeballs they'll all circle the first one and talk with it. You can also walk up and talk to them making them all turn to you. If you look your characters expressions even change.
Yeah seriously guys - some useful tips here and I appreciate the content, but the spoiler overlooks are not ok. Whoever's editing this video needs a wake-up call!
I had my doubts about this game at first. But after having played for some time now, I’m finding I actually enjoy it more than the core series…to an extent anyway. I like how the wild Pokémon have different reactions to encountering the player rather than simply starting it in a battle setting right away. They will either run away from the player or go on the attack, something we see real wild animals do which adds some realism to the game not seen before. I also like how you can choose between crafting or buying most of the items rather than being restricted to one or the other.
3:08 aCTUAlly...the game does tell you how to icnrease your inventory.
I usually use the poke head stamp on maps to mark alpha or higher level areas for exp farming
Do you really need to exp farm? Doesn't it have a built in exp all, so that your pokemon are usually over level to the point you never have to farm/grind exp? I'd understand if it was gen 1-3, but they are basically giving you rare candy now any time you want/need/get bored
@@jamesmeppler6375 when I'm broke or trying to level up a new mon, yeah it's helpful to have a bunch of lvl 43s to bully around
@@PandasEatBamboo bro, just feed alpha Bleasy with sitrus berry in 1st location and get for 10k exp, than go to the camp and rest, repeat this until your Pokemon will be the same lvl as others.
@@jamesmeppler6375 Yes you do, especially when you want to try new party members
@@askanderize I guess its good to know, it sure isn't like the old games, where you def needed to use a pokemon, even with an exp share. But old pokemon games were much harder to get to level 100.
But that makes me wonder, as I never played with 1 pokemon. Do they get the same experience regardless of having 1 or more pokemon? Thanks for the advice
“Watch out about summoning alpha Pokémon they’ll attack the others” Ah yes, as my alpha Luxray sleeps beside a tiny eevee.
Was gonna say - wtf is he talking about?
I love this game. I can't wait to play again. 15 hours in.
Really glad to see this! It was definitely needed cause like others, I had no idea some of these!
Here are the best features as well. 1)After you fulfill 4 Pokemon boxes the npc will unlock you multiple release option
2)While you are dropping your items into storage, press the X button to drop all at once without choosing the option from opening menu
Wow cool! 😎 Thanks Scott Tailford! Love the way your voice says years in some of the videos you have done.
“After 25 yeaaas”
@@dogman6687 Its catchy and definitely worth making a WhatCulture Gaming meme out of it.
You know what an inevitable sequel to this needs? Pokéball Plus support. How in the hell does this game not support it? I mean come on, that's a no brainer surely?
That would actually be incredible and surreal. Nintendo, take notes!
The second one is mentioned in the game if you read the dialogue. Volo tells you at the start of the game
Poison is the same as before can't poison types and steel. Frostbite is like burn but for special attack you can't freeze ice types, drowseness is like paralysis but all pokemon can be affected, and drowsee pokemon take more damage, burn is same as before can't burn fire pokemon, paralysis reduces speed of pokemon and may not be able to attack electric pokémon can't be paralysed(you can paralyse ground with stun spore) status affect only last a few tuns and disappear after battle you can override a status like if they use rest the you use thunder wave they will be paralysed. Status effects make a pokemon easier to catch. I only know about the changes because of looking up online the game doesn't tell you at all.
Okay let me clarify, status moves are valid for 3 turns of your Pokemon. What does that mean? Simple, for example your Pokemon becomes paralysis, it will be paralysis until it makes 3 moves, so if your Pokemon becomes paralysis but you decide to catch, instead of moves the paralysis will not go from your Pokemon no matter how many turns you will spend for catching, only after your Pokemon will spend 3 turns, the paralysis will go, same for other status conditions
Tip # 11: It's pronounced "Ark-e-us."
Not according to the game creators
@@Jenema2 Which creators are you referring to? The ones who don't speak English and are always translated by people who aren't fully aware of the pronunciations?
We know how it's pronounced. Just watch the commercials and you'll hear it.
@@Jenema2 It’s Ark-e-us, unless you’re Japanese. If you hail from Japan, Then Arse-e-us makes sense.
This has been made clear in The Jewel of Life, the official website and a Nintendo Direct.
I guess you don’t watch Pokémon movies? 😬
Smoke bombs are pretty good to further sneak up on Pokémon to catch them without Battling.
You can also go directly to the tent instead of talking to the guy in camps to directly choose how long the rest should be.
And if you use the portable workshop of camps you will ceaft with elements from your chest and inventory, whereas using the crafting box in your inventory will only use your inventories items
On twitter I had a little fun with my Alpha ninetales and Vulpix.
I climb the Clift where the high land camp and basically recreated a scene from the lion king with Vulpix and nine tales LOL
You really cant miss Bagin as game forces you to speak with him.......
If you didn't know you don't have to battle Alpha pokemon to catch them. You can bait them like regular pokemon too and throw a ball. Though it's highly recommended that you use the cakes, and try to figure out the favorite type for the pokemon you're trying to catch. Read the description and take an educated guess some are straight forward but some pokemon you may have to guess. But I digress, choosing the right cake not only increases the catch rate but they'll spend more time eating it which can give you time to move behind it to further increase your chances. Also smoke bombs are your friend when you lack cover. You don't even have to crouch while in the smoke. So use more than 1 if you have to to get as close as possible. Probably shouldn't get too close though.
boss fights are more souls like than anything, like a kid level souls, but still it was a beautiful breath of fresh air!
dark souls didn't invent the dodge roll...
@@sallytims6894 but it popularized it. Why you trynna argue with facts my dude? Others even agree
@@timothyhales7104 OK then. I'm looking forward to GTA 6, the Breath of the Wild-like from Rockstar.
@@timothyhales7104 And Mario Kart 9, the Forza Horizon 5-like
@@sallytims6894 someone really hurt you huh? Considering the whole schtick of dark souls, is dodge, don't get hit, attack. You can't sit there and tell me the noble fight isn't exactly that. You dodge, dodge, dodge, throw balms (firebombs or spells in dark souls) until it's defeated. That sure does sound like a souls type fight to me. The only added addition of the Pokemon version is a literal Pokemon battle, if you choose to when the noble is weak, you don't even have to though you can just chuck balms all day lmfao, so yes it is very souls like, just because a game didn't invent something doesn't mean it isn't known for a certain thing ;) Mario is known to be a platformer but does that mean Mario kart isn't a Mario esc game? There's levels, goals, and even platforming lmfao. Also never once did I say dark souls invented the roll, they just popularized it.
The bag one is also mentioned, before you leave once
Thanks mate ik a few friends who will want to see this.
Honestly my favourite pokemon game, I've put over 45 hours into it already
Same here. More than 70 hours and only 3 nobles, I am just freackin enjoying it
Really useful thanks
Got the game today and am so excited
Hello the thing bout Double Hit changed it used to hit double as an offense atk now it just raises the stats. Not that it isnt better just hitting two times was low power actually
I'm over 50 hrs in and didn't even know you could lock on to pokemon to throw a ball.
Don't bother, doesn't work well unless the area is like super flat and they are right in front of you. I've missed to many times trying to use that so I don't anymore.
@@1rkhachatryan i actually use a combo of motion and stick aiming
Does anyone know if you play diamond and pearl remakes after playing legend. Do you still get the bonus or do you have to play the games prior???
You have to have a save file. So if you play arceus first, but then create a save file in the other games, you can still get the goodies in arceus.
The game literally teaches you these of you don't skip through the tutorial lmao
Im currently up to 30K for a new inventory spot. It’s almost exclusively what Ive spent my money on.
Still not enough space lol I’m almost on 30 k or a lil over 30 k lol
Question, is the grit dust guaranteed? Or is there just a chance? When releasing Pokémon.
It's just a chance but the chances are higher when you bulk release pokemon. Also dont release any pokemon in the beginning because who have to have a lot to unlock the ability to bulk release
You get a ton from mass releasing tbh but it's not guaranteed
Scott "Arceus"
Me, an intellectual who watches MandJTV "Arcoos"
A lot of of these are actually mentioned in the game.
The game does tell you the back catching technique
The game does explicitly tell you pretty much all of this. . .
Can someone tell me: Why a pokemon that is 15 lvl lower can attack me 3 times in a row?
Most prolly due to faster speed stat
@@ebiL3288 from a pokemon of the same kind that i also cought there? That also attacked me multiple times in a row, before I cought it? I doubt it
Different Pokemon have different stats even if they're the same species dude
@@chimrichalds8985 yes but even in the same species 15 lvl in difference wont make that much diff even with natures calculated in. How many point does it takefor a double attack. .and how many for a triple?
Hold lz for first person mode!
PP Restored when swapping moves? That will get patched out quick.
for me it was about half the PP not full
@@MrDelito23 Still, if there's no cooldown on how frequently you can swap, it has strong potential for abuse.
The game is incredible
Nice I was avoiding seeing the new starter evolution forms. Spoiler warning would've been appreciated.
And to the status effect comment, try rest omg lol, drowsy is like infatuation lol and like mentioned here, all status effect can be overwritten
Why we acting like BOTW was the first game to have map markers
6:48 tanjiro?
A real thing the game doesn't tell you is that Nintendo uses links grunts for the male character from botw. Sly Nintendo.
Litterally every single tip youve used is gone over before you leave the first area hahaha
although useful and i have gotten to most parts of the game shown in the video. this game is like 3 or 4 days old. for players who might search this video up to get a better understanding of the game. it would be nice if you didn't spoil parts after like the 1st or 2nd area. even if they are small snippets. And yes they searched this video up with probably expecting some late game footage to be used. it's still spoiling.
I agree I knew you would be able to fly at some point, but the flying footage spoiled the warden flight pokemon for me. Ithought it would be staravia or something !
I’m 12 hours in currently
Good on ya.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I feel like bagin is ripping off the protagonist
That was your number 1? I'm feeling these lists are just a list without any specific order. And you number them so we know you did count out each one
Hm, interesting.
Now it only restores half of its pp
I literally figured out this inter video just by.... hmm how do I put this BEETING THE GAME!
Press x to doubt your pronunciation of Arceus. 100% pronounced Ark, not Arse, just let me get out my Arse phone.....
🤣🤣🤣
To be fair the game pokemon battle revolution produced it as ar-see-us and it wasn't still later that it was corrected to ark-ee-us so it's understandable that people pronounce it that why as I did aswell
It's been pronounced both ways over time.
Dislike because Scott presented.
These are barley good tips and with mostly spoiler gameplay showing 🙄
Why do you pronounce it Arse-eus? It's arc-eus.
It's k not s!
BOO!! Spoiling one of the Starter Final Evolutions, guys. Not cool.
Not to mention one of the Royal Pokemon too 🤨
Y’all just getting lazy now. Most of these were explained
No spoiler warning 👎
This game is trash
