Now that is a "center of the case" kind of point if I ever saw one! They just don't get much better than that...especially out of a field. Gotta love material on the little killer with the ear ding too. Congrats on all of those finds, and thanks for taking us along for the thrill of the hunt!

i am 17 yrs old and just the other day my dad and me went arrowhead hunting right down the road from us we live in middle georgia and just the other day we went lookin its been forever since we have and within 5 min of lookin i found a complete qwarts arrowhead its about an inch and a half well its the first full one i found and startin young is gunna help me have a great collection i appreciatte how you work and how much fun you and i both feel about this sport well good luck hunting..
Glad it fed your memory,I still feast on it myself.Great Hobby, and U are exactly right,if the young would take an interest,It will forever, stick with them. Can't count the times, that maybe things were'nt well in life, and go stomping, lookin for points, was a worthwhile getaway, instead of a quick fix, like most induldge in.Thanks for the comments.
I know it's 3 years later, but I had my fingers crossed for ya - DANG!!! That point is GORGEOUS!!!!! And I'm only 1/3 of the way through this video! Congrats on that point - that's one a fella would never forget. I'll bet you saw that in the dirt in your dreams....heck, I bet I do tonight!!
That point was beautiful and so well made. There is nothing wrong with having lots of passion for the things you enjoy and misty eyes are a sign of true appreciation and admiration for such a beautiful point. That was so cool sharing that moment with you when you made that full pull. -Paleoman52-
+SCUpstate Digger Its one of those points that actually looks much better off the ground, whereas a lot of points look their best in the dirt.LOL Thanks
I lived in Florida for a while and used to hit the deer woods and fan in the rivers. Never found anything as nice as that. Congrats! Great days hunting!
Thanks.I too have found lots of artifacts, but the nicer things are few and far between.Breathe taking thrill when a man does come across one though.:>)
I was stood over there looking after a storm in a field and a friend of mine told me not to move. He bent down and picked up three almost identical 2" yellow translucent Hernando points, all in perfect condition, from under my feet. I know you put a premium on not being a baby about it but that one stung. Keep up the good work.
Alex Whittaker In all honesty,,,I might not have showed my baby side at the time,if I could reframe, but inwardly I'd probably never recover.:>) I really don't know how I'd react to that.I suppose I would jokingly tell folks that were that close,to spread out, your crowding my space.
Grateful to have come across this site. Nice finds. I have a piece of ground that gives up 5 to 15 pieces a year can’t imagine if it was completely turned over.
As with any site that had occupation, or travel routes from their travels, I have to believe the best has yet to be found.Keep on searching.GL& Thanks for stopping by.
FlintSpall thanks for your fast response will be subscribing to your site I’ve never sent any pics through UTube but would love to show my latest find I’m around Des Moines Ia on a old camp site looking down on the Des Moines river south of Red Rock Dam every find gives me good old goose bumps and the energy to walk or search another 20 miles. I found a drill point about six inches with hand grip attached it’s made out of Burlington flint goes from 1 inch to 3/8 almost 6 long with grip that is four inches broken at the grip but the tip of drill looks like it has probably been reworked. If whole it could’ve been one of my best finds ever I’m 58. I also found a paleo 9 inches thirty yards from that piece about 10 years ago after doing exactly what you said about going that extra distance I did quite the jig that day. It’s very rare. I’m waiting for the flood waters to recede kayaking around Lake Red Rock should be one of the best hunts since 1993. Keep on hunting.
@@kidjetrecon7153 Sounds like your area was rich in occupation in the day.I've seen lots of stellar artifacts from some Iowa utubers.,who walk cricks.:>) In my area its creeks.lol Those pieces you speak of would be unusually large for my area in Tn.,,but I'm still looking for em.:>) GL & be careful in those flood waters. Yall have been devastated out west, while we've had 2 one inch rains since mid march.Dry as a bone and already in the mid 90's daily.
The most watched video I've ever made.It was a day to remember.I've had several days to remember, but that one ranks in the top five for me,mainly based on that particular piece.
Thanks,,Campsites will always be near water, whether, creeks, rivers, springs, etc.,but not at a level that has flood potential. If its a good site, things can be found year after year.
Nice points you found there. Like you said, just a little further. The grass can be green if someone watered it like you did. Finding that sweet point and all. :) Thanks for showing us your finds!
Reminds me of many a Sunday afternoon down on the Frio River in Uvalde County, Texas. Waterholes along this wet weather river always produced enough finds to keep young boys looking and out of trouble.
Some how I never watched this video ? I think it was made before I subbed . It is truly amazing what CAN come out of plowed fields . For years that's all I ever hunted and I have some amazing artifacts that have turned up. Oh yeah , that Dovetail is just absolutely beautiful .
wow...that was fun...thanks for taking us with you :) Ive never found an arrow head. My little brother is a diehard arrow head hunter. Just think whats in the ground that you CANT see....
Yes sir,,premature call on my part.,,I corrected that call on the next day after looking farther..Its the first significant one that I've found.Thank You!
It's believe that they were made when indians used an atlatal for spear throwing, which was a counter weigh for prolonged accurate throws, while some bannerstones were used also, for the same purpose, but as time passed, boatstones and bannerstones became mainly ornamental.
Thanks Bud,Check out the next days find(The Dove).By the way, after lookin a little closer,I've determined this piece was A Big Slough,It had a bulb like base, unlike the more square cornered kirks.I hope to bring more.Come again
