Yessir, bad azz to the bone!!! Not only did I see the dirt fly off one of the sweetest Copenas I've ever seen in an incredible, jaw dropping moment but if you look real close in the fingernail of flintspall you will notice what appears to be some residual "compound mud culture" matrix!!! This vid INSPIRES........Well done brother....
Wow! that was so much fun to watch again. Finding that supreme point is a memory you will always have. I am still amazed by that point. It probably is one of the greatest field finds I have ever seen. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. -Paleoman52-
Oh,I know what your saying about the point making it,hopefully its safe now.I don't handle it alot,I just look at it.LOL.Ole Ken did a great job knapping the repros. Thanks Bud,best of luck to ya!
Couldn't hardly believe my eyes when I saw it.Still amazes me how it survived as well as it has all this time and beyond a safe place. Its resting now though.:>) I rarely touch it, but I do like looking upon it.:>) Thanks GL
@@FlintSpall right on, I don't have nearly as nice artifacts as most UA-camrs I watch but I still love to sit, pull my artifacts out and admire them, I didn't find my first point until I was 19 and I've been hooked ever since, it fascinates me that I find artifacts from people who were hunting and fishing on the same streams and rivers I grew up on thousands of years ago, to me it's the most interesting hobbie in the world, thanks GL&HH
Your welcome. Thanks to utube,The find has no doubt been even better, because I can show yall for your enjoyment, besides the excellent acquaintance with so many fine folks like yourself.
Yeah,In most all my vids,I give a 2 for 1,every time. Those mud bugs just leach on me all the time, not very rare around these parts. They are really a mess to handle in the larva stage!
That particular piece is a tough call,in part to the size, shape, and symmetry.Knives usually are heavier made and often bare a leaning of the tip in one of two directions due to resharpening.I'd likely lean towards it being a spear point or,as one suggested, maybe a tip for tattoos.I also feel like whatever its purpose was,it wasn't used yet.Often they made and stashed pieces for later use,and I really doubt this one saw any use after it was made.Based on the overall build of the piece,I'd say it was highly apt to be a future spear point for hunting. Its definitely got the lethal capabilities.:>) Thanks.
This video will never get old. One of the finest points Ive seen this year. Concrats again
