    I’ve always been a fan of DeWalt (at my job) and craftsman (for my home). I always have thought craftsman though cheaper build quality (more plastic) was a good tools both power tools and obviously hand tools. Craftsman just seems to be way better bang for the buck. More then likely at home your not gonna be using tools so hard you burn them out. I mean if you got the money dewalt is more durable but for a great back up there is absolutely nothing wrong with craftsman. They are great home owner tools. You could easily build your shed, build a back deck, etc....

    I guess for the home owner Tool line Craftsman would handle most tasks. Especially considering the price point of the two Drills the Dewalt is a Professional level Cordless Tool. Your Review has helped a lot….Thank you

    The V20 Toolline from Craftsman actually really good. In Europe Stanley rebrand the Craftsman V20 Powertools as Stanley fatmax.

    I sell both I push craftsman most customers price is far less and they handle well. I've used Milwaukee and Dewalt in my construction jobs and yea they are great but you pay for that and fr what you pay for craftsman power tools your getting more power per dollar.

    another great video. i wonder how much better performance it would be if the craftsman battery had the 21700 cells as opposed to its current 18650 cells. the dewalt xr has the 21700 cells so would benefit from extra performance. if you could get an adapter for the craftsman and test it out with a dewalt xr battery it might be a closer matchup

    Thanks for showing the Craftsman with the DeWalt side handle and how well it actually works. I actually bought the Craftsman last week for $75 with a free 4ah battery and fast charger specifically because it was a good deal and I didn't have a hammer drill that accepted a side handle and thought the DeWalt would work, so it's nice to see that it does.

    Iam a AV tech and use the DCF887 and DCD999, The 887 for 90% of my work and the 999 only gets use when i need to mount tv's above fire places or run 3/4in EMT for fire alarms. Iam getting a little sick of carrying in all my tools just for smaller jobs like mounting tv's on drywall and studs or installing cameras but I still need my big boy tools for pre wires, emt and fire places. So iam making a new lighter bag that i can bring into the small jobs and keeping my veto pro mc with my heavier tools for the big jobs. What power tools will be strong enough to do the jobs i need like drilling holes in 2/4's and mounting tv's but yet light and small enough to fit in this new bag. I have my list down to the M12 Fuel Impact Driver, the Dewalt Atomic Hammer drill/driver, the Hilti SFD 2-A or maybe i can get away with just a Dewalt 12v Extreme Screwdriver. I want whatever is going to perform the best because getting my task done as quickly as possible vs the time saving of not having to bring so many tools that i wont use on to a job. Can you help?

    The craftsman drill is impressive for a cheaper drill, probably great for 90% of what the average home owner will put it through. I used to own the DeWalt dcd796, it was probably the most reliable dewalt drill I ever had, my dewalt dcd996 always seemed a bit poor in the build quality, but the DeWalt dcd996 is night and day more powerful.

    Flawed results. You should have started a new hole with the Craftsman since the bit it loose. I would also like to point out that you either didn't lock in the bit on both the Dewalt and Craftsman, or they both came lose in separate tests.

      I bought a hammer to drill intending to use it also as a regular drill, but the in and out play where the chuck connects to the hammering mechanism pissed me off so much. I wound up just buying the regular drill too.

    • @MrLuisinho90
      @MrLuisinho90 3 роки тому +1

      Like most topics, the answer is: it depends. I used to have a regular drill and after I moved to my current house, I noted the regular drill wouldn't cut it on masonry walls and such. My house is made out of blocks/concrete for the most part, I won't get an SDS hammerdrill to hang some pictures on the wall nor kitchen/laundry room shelfs, bathroom accessories. Of course my needs are much less demanding than say a contractor.
      For the regular Joe, a Hammerdrill is enough and totally worth paying the $30-$50 difference
