👋 Hey there, Morbid's developer here, checking in! Thank you for covering the game, appreciate it! I feel the urge to explain myself a little though! This is going to sound like a bit of an excuse, and maybe it is? Here we go.. For me, personally, the development of Morbid was the most stressful time of my entire life. We had a-lot of issues trying to find suitable programmers for the game, and long story short, about 90% of all of the code that made it's way in to the game, was written by me. I'm not saying this to brag, though it may sound like it. But Morbid was planned to have atleast two full-time coders. The whole team behind Morbid was 5-6 people, which is just way too few for the scale of a game that Morbid is, and for the time we had to make the game happen (originally one year, but we had to get 6 additional months to finish the game) Unfortunately, we've had to move on to new things already. But the good news is, we learnt a-lot from Morbid. The game was succesful enough that we're Still Running (ha), and we were able to get a funding for our next title! The team has since grown to 9, and we're still looking for one more to join. We've changed engines, and we have clearer idea what to do next, and better planning in general. Fingers crossed this time around things will go a bit smoother 🤞 Maybe we'll see again, Mr Pineapple, in a year or two. Sorry for the wall of text, carry on people ✌
If you ever get the chance, please revisit Morbid's universe. The aesthetic you're team created is absolutely wonderful. Visceral, grotesque, and over the top without being excessive or uncomfortably disgusting. It hits that sweet spot perfectly and deserves another chance to shine!
as pineapple said before your aesthetic and designs are amazing so as long as the other aspects of the game are solid your work really has so much potential to be awesome :))
I love Bloodborne just a lot and you guys seem to do the same. And I have to say Morbid art style, especially some enemy designs were INCREDIBLY good. Really, please continue making games with this art-style quality

I really like how you didnt even show yourself playing Going Under, you just wanted to show it off ahahahah this game deserves more attention from the public.
The boss at about 16:40, "El Cyd" might be meant to be "El Cid", who's sort of the Spanish equivalent of King Arthur - he was actually a real person (unlike King Arthur), but he's mostly known today because he's got a really well known epic poem that mythologizes his life. I wonder if the game's made by a Spanish person, it'd explain the bad grammar in the achievements.
King Arthur was absolutely a real person, just that she was a hot blonde anime babe with impressive special attacks who's kind of shy in personal interactions
I know this game isn’t out-loud Soulsy, but hear me out. Medievil is one of my favorite games of all time and is more than just a hidden gem. It has wonderful character interactions, great humor, and an enthralling world with really good levels. Definitely check it out if you’re into Souls and The Nightmare Before Christmas
I like how the most viewed section of this video is people going back 3 or 4 times to try and figure out what that boss was then being like "Oh......."
Bruh, every time I see that poster I forget it's a poster! It looks like such a fun, like, PVC figure to own, y'know?? If it was a real, tangible thing you could pick up and turn and hold, even with my measly income, no matter how expensive it was, I'd try to find a way to own that.

There's the path they laid out and then there's the path you can find, and figuring out crazy movement combinations to jump around them was just incredible.
Legends say that this is what keeps Iron Pineapple from going hollow.
I don't fucking care if Going Under isn't technically a souls like, I'm just glad to see anybody cover it, such a criminally underrated game
Honestly if this series never stopped I'd be happy
You should try Vigil: The Longest Night. Great souls-like game, deserves way more recognition.
El Cyd is literally a jpg of The Dark Knight from Infinity Blade I
holy shit you're right LMAO
I miss that game
Also the scrolls of those magic items shields i am pretty sure they are a jpg of enchant weapon B and D from lineage2
This series is beautiful
Honestly you could make videos titled "A pineapple descends into madness playing obscure games" and it would be a catch
I want this series to get to the point where you say "so someone recommended I check out this game called Tetris and said it's pretty soulslike, so let's check it out!" LMAO
15:15 It really really looks like someone forgot to make their game frame-independant. With how it's coded, I guess the faster the PC the harder it makes the game.
Yeah, as a programmer U immediately noticed that lol
@@somename371 Well I mean that's the first thing you think about when you see something like that happen. It's probably one of the most common and basic mistake everyone makes from time to time. Forgetting a deltatime somewhere
@@Exilum yeah of course and if you're always testing on the same system it can be hard to notice these things
@@Exilum lol, just noticed I typed U instead of I in my original comment (I'm a programmer myself)
@@somename371 I see. That's why your original comment sounded a bit passive- aggressive (like it was some kind of fake irony).
Chronos: Before the Ashes, literally is just Remnant but no guns.
EDIT: Guys we know it’s from the same creators and is set before Remnant. It’s a joke, please stop arguing.
I was looking to see if anyone saw this lol
And better graphics
I saw that crystal & was like: yeah this is Remnant from the Ashes the prequel when they haven't invented guns yet 😆
Yeah
It Literally is.
The king is back
"52 hits to kill btw"
cut to me spending 1k arrows on the final boss in valheim
Fitting that the stranded fisherman reeled you back in
Fun fact: El Cid won his last batlle, dead, riding on his horse, scaring the shit out of the enemies.
"Speedboat Fisherman is not real, he can't hurt you."
Speedboat Fisherman: 10:30
surprising but neat to see Going Under here, it's a hidden gem. I wished it wasn't as short though
I wasn't expecting Chronos, Remnant is such a great game and I only just recently got into it.
I fucking love this series so fuchsia much.
Yeah I don't get why people leave rude comments when they could just leave the video to those who enjoy it
Jart
24:03 *door swings open" "SOMEBODY ONCE TOLD ME"
Ikr 🤣
I was so happy to hear that Going Under music. I just started playing it recently and fell in love instantly.
Now, the fisherman boss was the true highlight of this video.
There's a pretty good remake of the first game as well.
@@Egurius3 That indeed there is. It’s the best version he should play that
I like how the most viewed section of this video is people going back 3 or 4 times to try and figure out what that boss was then being like "Oh......."
'Reeled me right back in' - Underappreciated pun right there
Bruh, every time I see that poster I forget it's a poster! It looks like such a fun, like, PVC figure to own, y'know?? If it was a real, tangible thing you could pick up and turn and hold, even with my measly income, no matter how expensive it was, I'd try to find a way to own that.
This man is a hero
He buys every game just to let us know how good is a game or not.

Ya because there is absolutely nothing for him to gain from it at all....it's a completely selfless act...🙄
@@MylkOfMagica10392 the point of randy's comment was to point out erick's pathetic simping.

Come on there is no problem with giving someone respect or praise. Like what's with this shaming of people who show respect or give praise to others. If he really likes the guy good on him.
Chronos before the ashes is actually a prequel to Remnant from the ashes. In Chronos you actually find out how it all started. How the world fell to the demons or monsters. Its a very enjoyable game in my opinion.
The game : has rolling
Iron Pineapple : is this a Dark Souls?
Does that mean that Banjo Kazooie is a souls-like, or is Dark Souls a Banjo-like?
So sonic is the ultimate dark souls?
