13:20 Love how the timelapse caught two lovers in the wild 😂
Amazing job! Such a beautiful job!
Trust me from experience, if you only tape the part my guy did here you will get some overspray. Don't panic! Use Carnauba wax to take it off.
Nice man do good keep it up hopefully i can you try to fix rust on car and show us how we can fix are selfs
I actually have already fixed the rust spot on my car awhile back but I unfortunately wasn't able to film it then but I could see what I could potentially come up with.
Also, underneath the trim tape is the same paint as the car.
I have a 2010 honda civic ex. What is the best way to clear the front light cover?
Restoration kits are always gonna be short term and temporary. And sometimes the lenses can fade from the inside so cleaning the outside can do no good in those cases. Sometimes new replacements are just the better option.
any suggestion how to take out the double sided tape for window visor ? on the door trim its very hard for me to take it off
Try a heat gun and a plastic scraper tool. Be careful to not have the heat gun too close/too long to the surface because you could melt/damage any plastic pieces/paint on the car.
It's actually a film that can be removed. Since your car is black i recommend you to just peal off the film and it will look brand new.
Yeah I want to experiment with that a bit myself and get it done. I heard it’s color matched underneath
what grit sandpaper did you use?
also did you let the paint dry before applying clear coat?
I’ll have to go back and see what I used for sand paper. I don’t remember the grit right off the top of my head and yes the paint was dry to the touch when I applied clear.
should have used primer filler or use car wrap too
I used a primer/paint in one.
instead of using all that tape newspaper is your friend. sometimes doing little things really improve the looks of a car.
True. While that would have been awesome I didn't have any in my possession at the time 😕
@@Specmauto i sent you a message on facebook regarding friend request. appreciate it !!
I don't see anything on there
@@Specmauto it was through your personal page.
What was your name? I get a lot of messages.
What kind of spray did you use?
Black rustoleum paint
@@Specmauto thanks! I have a 08 civic si and I didn’t even think of repainting them!
whats the grit on the sand paper?
Not sure from the top of my head I’ll have to go out there later on and see.
I recommend doing this if you want to be cheap about not replacing the pillar pieces. You could also take a heat gun to it and slowly peel it all off it is body colored paint underneath the black pillar trims. It’s pretty much like a vinyl sticker
The trim tape is replaceable. Pita to do but is replaceable.
I know. That's why I just sanded what I could and painted over it. To save the time and hassle. I didn't want to deal with old glue from the tape and deal with more stickers.
i want to remove all that black film off my civic completely to just show gray the color of the car
Good luck!
what seat covers are those?
AUTO HIGH 11-Pieces Car Seat Covers Full Set - Premium Faux Leather Automotive Front and Back Seat Protectors - Fits Most Car Truck Van SUV, Black & Blue a.co/d/09Jwzt0
Looks like they discontinued the red color though, they only have black and blue now.
@@Specmauto cool thanks!
not my way to do this.........too much overspray....which will be over the entire car. Plus do it inside of a garage....not outside...
Hard to do that when I didn’t have a garage at the time 🤷♂️
That was awful. Next time sand it and use SEM trim paint.. without clearcoat lol
The paint ended up fading again overtime and went back to how it was. I just took the shit off all together. It’s literally just vinyl, electrical tape material and it’s garbage. At least the metal underneath is also factory paint color to match
