I did keto and IF back in 2019 when I was told I have a fatty liver and pre diabetic and had great results (my waist got tiny! 24in. And I was so lean and STRONG) but the pandemic threw me off so bad. This January I gave up alcohol and went back to what I know works for me. Just completed a 48 hour fast the other day and so far I’ve lost 12lbs since January 3rd. I have about 10-12 more pounds until I reach my goal. I’m feeling amazing lately and have no cravings for anything. This man has probably saved my life or at least increased my longevity lol

we are on the same page.. same 2019 I did IF and Keto. everything goes down the drain when pandemic hits.. But now trying to go back.. And i wan to feel great again.. I have started 2 weeks ago..and blood sugar is going down slowly since I started.
I started noticing my belly going down when I ate smaller meals (food on saucer plates), drinking fluids 30 minutes before/after meals (never during a meal), cutting out the sugar(all forms), IF, KETO, & HIIT excercise. I'm 79 and a diabetic for nearly 10 years and on Metformin as well as numerous other prescribed drugs and Insulin. I am 74kg with a small pot belly for insulin injections! When you are losing 9 pounds a week, a third of that is probably muscle. You should consider adding some calories back into your diet to slow the rate down to about 3 pounds a week.
@Emel Pirtle The first 10 pounds maybe. Beyond that, you are losing fat and muscle. When you lose weight that fast, your body will pull from wherever it can. That is why bodybuilders only try to lose 1% of their bodyweight per week when cutting. To preserve muscle.
Been doing keto and IF since 2014. I’ve learned so much, I was 185 when I started now I’m 155lbs of muscle. I am truly grateful for the knowledge this man has taught me. I have been a nurse for 12 years and it touched on nutrition in one chapter and the foods they advocated were 🥛 dairy yogurt cheese (in small amounts, fish chicken and red meat sparingly, breads and grains (whole grains), oils and fats sparingly. All of my patients are diabetics their diets are highly processed. This scared me as I noticed they became sicker and sicker that is what started me on this journey.

I kick started the the new year by doing dry January and focusing on my fitness and food intake. I have also been watching many of Dr Eric's videos for inspiration and education. I have just weighed myself today for the first time since 1st Jan. I have lost 5.1kg from 81kg to 75.9kg. My target weight is 73kg. I have also dropped almost 5% body fat. Is funny ..I had known all of that info without even knowing.. Example Omad for years .. Even as and Exc Chef. I had never been fat in my life. Plus I had always look 10 years younger... I get very little excercise because I'm 62 with severe arthritis. So I'll do a 20 day fast from time to time. It cleans out the calcium deposits and the rest of the crud that accumulates in the joints. It also keeps my weight in check.
Great advice Since following this advice since October 2021 I have now lost 20kg. It is so important to understand insulin Giving up bread, crisps and carbs really helped me.
I would suggest that women that have had children, research and try different stomach exercises bc these might make the weak/stretched muscles bulge and actually look bigger not slimmer ( if they have not previously worked to strengthen them post-partum) There are many videos on healing diastases recti separation and pelvic floor exercises that might be a good beginning place eventually graduating to the ones suggested in this video.
I have been following Dr.Berg since 2019. Started both keto + IF all through following Dr.Berg's videos and recommendations. Start of diet: Age 24 Male BF%: 36% Weight 292 Lbs - 5'11". End of diet (2021) Age 27 Male BF%: 12% weight 172 lbs. Transitioning now into a lifestyle change of med carbs, med protein and high fat (healthy) along with heavy resistance training. The only exercise I did during the diet was walking 3-5miles 3-4 times a week. Thank you for everything Dr.Berg, you are such a knowledgeable and inspiration person. People listen to their music to get pumped for their workouts, I literally got Dr.Berg videos running 🤣🤣 he will change your life people, seriously.
Those were great tips. I started taking Berberine for congestion about a year ago. And It has been the largest improvement on my sleep. I have always been a mouth breather and stuffed up at night causing interrupted sleep. It has eliminated waking up abruptly at night because breathing so much better . Good to know it can help with other issues related to my weight as well.
Eric, really good video. I would just add two things: People should walk for 20 mins after meals, just a relaxed walk, which will definitely bring the sugar down in the 70-130 zone, and 3 days of weight lifting. It doesn't have to be heavy, just reps at low weights will do, but it adds lean mass and speeds up weight loss and metabolism. I hate the fact that in the USA we treat everything with meds, which is bad because all of them have other side effects. The real answer is actually in daily moderate exercise and a clean diet, and that is the real medicine for longevity. Anyway, Thanks for putting together a nice video. I know that takes a lot of prep and effort. One last thing: I started using a freestyle libre CGM, and that has really changed how I eat and walk after exercise. Seeing the sugar spike, and come down, is the real motivation. People should look into that. Insurance doesn't cover it, but my health is important to me, so I happily pay $135 a month. Knowledge is power and motivation in my opinion.

I always tried to find out why my hair falls, bunches of hair everyday, why my belly fat is so resilient that no matter what I do, nothing seems to work.... then I find this video and now everything makes sense. Intermittent fasting has softened my stomach fat. Also lots of Kale daily. I'm so glad I kept trying to do Intermittent fasting because it takes practice! It's not an all or nothing kind of deal at first. We are allowed to have hard days and jump right back to it guilt free the next day. It helps me with my eating disorder and I don't have to think about food until my alarm goes off it's great I feel free! Thank you Dr. Berg!
Vegetables are poison unless thoroughly cooked Eat mostly organ meats, red meat WITH the fat, plenty of fruits, some premium ice cream, and at your maintenance caloric intake
@@EriPages the poisons in vegetables are phytonutrients ment to keep insects away or to counter the damage the plant gets from UV exposure. That doesn't mean those phytonutrients are poisonous to humans. Vitamins like c are only available through fruits and vegetables at the same time meat products are highly saturated by insecticides.

I started IF 18:6, eating healthier, smaller portions (low cal, fat, sugar, carbs and high protein, fiber) along with exercising and walking in April. So far in 6 weeks I have lost 15 pounds and 1/2-4 inches off different parts of my body.
All is good for me except the exercise because I am a C3 Tetraplegic. If I go down I cannot get back up without 2 guys lifting me. Hahahaha what a predicament I am in! I have fatty liver am type 2 diabetic and overweight from being wheelchair bound. Working on ketogenic diet with omad fasting. 🎉

I intermittent fasted in summer of 2020, lost almost 70 lbs, gained it back in 2021 now I’m back on it, fasting for 18 hours only eating in the 6 hour window, drink a lot of water get 8 hours of sleep and do some cardio, the weight will fall off.

Thanks for great advice! I think it bears stressing that for all healthy overweight people and even great majority of people with health problems and obesity, just making couple changes to your life is enough to loose weight and make you healthier: - exercise at low intensity regularly (walks, brisk walks, jogging) - get your heart to between 60 and 70% of your maximum heart rate and keep it there for 20-30 minutes at least once a day. - displace processed with unprocessed food in your diet, - introduce regular periods of fast where you consume no calories at all. This can be as simple as not eating any calories from 5pm until breakfast and will already do wonders. - take good care that you get good night's sleep in well ventilated room every night. You don't need medication, you don't need to go permanently hungry, you don't need heroic effort in the gym, you don't need to start eating veggies only.

The only thing I can't control is my age. I'm 59 I've been an athlete all my life played football and lacrosse in college at Texas tech. I played a lot of softball thru my thirties and forties. I've had three surgeries on my right knee plus 4 orthoscopic procedures I had total replacement surgery in 2019 rehab was a total success as we're all of them. But I'm not nearly as active as I was I haven't gained a lot of belly fat but it's obvious I've put on love handles and some of roundness around my belly. So I'm no spring chicken anymore and I collect disability. I need to and want to drop twenty pounds my playing weight was about 200 to 210 I'm at 230 now. So let's see what we can do

It happens! The holidays, football playoffs, American diet seeps in! I was up 8 of the 40 lbs I lost... But armed with my Berg Knowledge, lost it in a week - and feeling healthy! It gets easier, I promise!
When Dr. Berg was talking about being on a low carb diet and still not being able to lose weight....at first it seemed to take a few months (maybe between 2 or 3) before I actually started losing weight, and even then it was slow in the beginning....but as of now I've lost a little over 30 pounds...so low carb does work, but if you're having problems losing weight, it "could" be that the liver is still making too much glucose possibly. I guess the body has to adapt sometimes and it could take a while before that happens.
Totally agree and I’m a female that Was a normal to thin weight. Healthy keto and IF For 8+ Weeks the scale Didn’t budge. I didn’t care bc I was “normal/thin” But I was curious. Suddenly in month 3 I weighed myself and holy cow I dropped Almost 8 lbs. From 128-120 lbs. But inches didn’t change in waist go Figure. Just suddenly everything worked together.

I started using berberine this week. Even when I was doing a lot of exercising, boxing and weightlifting, I never got rid of belly fat. I’m skinny a part from belly fat. Even with years of healthy diet. Hopefully berberine will help a bit

Hey Dr Berg, My BMI has always been between 22-24, but since 6-7 years ago my BMI have gone past 24 and growing. 2020 when the pandemic hit my BMI have been at 28 by end of 2020.. and stumbled on your Channel, January 2021 i started Keto and after a week i started IF and then OMAD by March my BMI went down to 24 and started Gym and by June my BMI is at 22 with my Visceral area gone flat and have been maintaining till today, i am not on strict Keto now but still on IF/OMAD. It does not work with autoimmune disorder , I use to be very thin , when I was youger I'm middle aged ,my sister my daughter have thyriod my mom had it too , and getting a Dr. to do the full panel or even check t3 is an up hill. battle

Thank you once again Dr. Berg! My belly fat loss has been dramatic! I incorporate everything you mentioned in this video except that there is a slight variation in my core exercises. I began using berberine this past Thanksgiving; my grandchildren were hosting the Thanksgiving meal for the first time and I didn’t want to disappoint them. I took 500mg of berberine shortly before the meals and ate everything put before me.😊 I’ve used berberine before meals ever since.
To the reader: look on UA-cam for the baby shark dance. I timed it to be about 1 and half minutes. It's TOTALLY intense and it's a belly, compound muscle exercise. Good luck at doing it the first time around. When I do the plank I like to make it more intense by extending one arm out to tap the floor then bring it back to both arms in the plank position then I extend the other arm and tap the floor on that side. In all of this you really feel the abdominal burn and this can burn belly fat throughout the whole day.
I've had 4 c-sections and my stomach is so ugly and it's so hard to get rid of the lower fat and it hangs. Will it be harder for me to get a flat stomach because I've had so many c-sections?

riddle me this , my husband was briefly on metformin , it RAISED his fasting insulin by 20 or more 'points' consistently. He stopped it , fasting sugar stayed around 125 awhile , always craving sugary foods , even though we have it only on birthdays or a major holiday . But one day he spiked to 278 , scared him off carbs - he stopped eating breakfast ( cereals and milk) started fasting 14 hours daily except Sundays , and no carbs for dinner . Also increased raw greens to 7-10 servings . He consistently is under 100 in am , unless we cheat with spagetti dinner or have forbidden treats . He has lost 2 pant sizes an 30 lbs in 60 days . on my end i fast 18-23 hours 4-5 days a week , went from 22-24 pant size to almost 16 since last November . its mid june now

This has always been me too, which makes me want to ask about your take on lipodystrophy, My endocrinologist recently told me that he believes that I have this. I used to work out and, though my arms and legs would respond and be thin, the weight on my trunk would not budge. My doctor said there is a medication, pioglitazone, that may help distribute the fat more evenly, but he has not prescribed it yet. Do you have any thoughts about that med?

I was 103kg and getting bad heart burn every time I done something strenuous for around 2 years. 3 months ago I’d finally had enough, I gave up sugar full stop and stoped having dinner (still had a good breakfast and lunch) if I’m hungry at dinner time I have an apple or banana ect. Already two weeks into the low carb program, my Triglyceride has dropped from the crazy 250 mg/dl to 111 mg/dl which is in the green zone. Also Cholesterin and Glukose dropped, but not as significantly as Triglyceride. So I guess it is working :)

When I’m 170 I’ll party like its 1999 and at 180 I do extended fasting. Health is the most important piece to this puzzle. DONT HURT YOURSELF! #1 set weight goal. (I can gain 10lbs in 1 night. Weight is a range and not a number) #2 count calories. Food is too easy to overeat. #3 eliminate sugar and artificial sweeteners! If your are gonna cheat, CHEAT! Count it and own it. #4 60 sit-ups a day. Takes 2 minutes and strengthens belly. #5 cardio workout 30 minutes 3 times a week. This is for health and BP and not weight lose. Years of not working out catches up with you and it takes time to undo if thats even possible. Walking 4 miles a days was not good enough. #6 do extended fast to reset weight to lower number. Gets a lot easier with time. Amazing how good it makes you feel. My belly is almost gone and now I almost understand inflammation and leaky gut. Food is everywhere and society wants you to eat it. Learn balance and enjoy and live life, for you only get one shot at it.

I did keto and IF back in 2019 when I was told I have a fatty liver and pre diabetic and had great results (my waist got tiny! 24in. And I was so lean and STRONG) but the pandemic threw me off so bad. This January I gave up alcohol and went back to what I know works for me. Just completed a 48 hour fast the other day and so far I’ve lost 12lbs since January 3rd. I have about 10-12 more pounds until I reach my goal. I started noticing my belly going down when I ate smaller meals (food on saucer plates), drinking fluids 30 minutes before/after meals (never during a meal), cutting out the sugar(all forms), IF, KETO, & HIIT excercise. I'll take ACV only if I bloat, but I haven't bloated in weeks!! I still have ways to go but I feel it'll get flatter by spring/summer. I'm so excited. All the best to everyone. I started intermittent fasting just after Christmas 2021 and it is the best decision I ever made that I wish I had made even earlier. My back hasn't felt better in 10+ years. I'm 79 and a diabetic for nearly 10 years and on Metformin as well as numerous other prescribed drugs and Insulin. I am 74kg with a small pot belly for insulin injections! Also numerous damage to my Spine (Herniated Disks, healing I hope) as well as Sciatica, which anyone suffering from it will understand the effect on movement and comfort even when resting! Inadvertantly, I have been fasting after Dinners as usually my Glucose levels are high in the evenings, even after walking a GSD! That does reduce my Glucose levels so I take less insulin or none at all with the result my Glucose level in the morning is is around 100 in mgs! I have lost 20kg to date. Low carbs and fasting and jogging daily and doing the stairs with some aerobics. I have a belly so I will add core exercises. Current weigh 87.5kg. I used to weigh 107.7 kg. I will come back with feedback once I drop another 10kg.

When you are losing 9 pounds a week, a third of that is probably muscle. You should consider adding some calories back into your diet to slow the rate down to about 3 pounds a week.
@Emel Pirtle The first 10 pounds maybe. Beyond that, you are losing fat and muscle. When you lose weight that fast, your body will pull from wherever it can. That is why bodybuilders only try to lose 1% of their bodyweight per week when cutting. To preserve muscle.

Been doing keto and IF since 2014. I’ve learned so much, I was 185 when I started now I’m 155lbs of muscle. I am truly grateful for the knowledge this man has taught me. I have been a nurse for 12 years and it touched on nutrition in one chapter and the foods they advocated were 🥛 dairy yogurt cheese (in small amounts, fish chicken and red meat sparingly, breads and grains (whole grains), oils and fats sparingly. I kick started the the new year by doing dry January and focusing on my fitness and food intake. I have also been watching many of Dr Eric's videos for inspiration and education. I get very little excercise because I'm 62 with severe arthritis.
So I'll do a 20 day fast from time to time.

I would suggest that women that have had children, research and try different stomach exercises bc these might make the weak/stretched muscles bulge and actually look bigger not slimmer ( if they have not previously worked to strengthen them post-partum) There are many videos on healing diastases recti separation and pelvic floor exercises that might be a good beginning place eventually graduating to the ones suggested in this video.

I have been following Dr.Berg since 2019. Started both keto + IF all through following Dr.Berg's videos and recommendations. Start of diet: Age 24 Male BF%: 36% Weight 292 Lbs - 5'11". End of diet (2021) Age 27 Male BF%: 12% weight 172 lbs.
Transitioning now into a lifestyle change of med carbs, med protein and high fat (healthy) along with heavy resistance training. The only exercise I did during the diet was walking 3-5miles 3-4 times a week. Thank you for everything Dr.Berg, you are such a knowledgeable and inspiration person. People listen to their music to get pumped for their workouts, I literally got Dr.Berg videos running 🤣🤣 he will change your life people, seriously.
Those were great tips. I started taking Berberine for congestion about a year ago. And It has been the largest improvement on my sleep. I have always been a mouth breather and stuffed up at night causing interrupted sleep. It has eliminated waking up abruptly at night because breathing so much better . Good to know it can help with other issues related to my weight as well.
Eric, really good video. I would just add two things: People should walk for 20 mins after meals, just a relaxed walk, which will definitely bring the sugar down in the 70-130 zone, and 3 days of weight lifting. It doesn't have to be heavy, just reps at low weights will do, but it adds lean mass and speeds up weight loss and metabolism. I hate the fact that in the USA we treat everything with meds, which is bad because all of them have other side effects. The real answer is actually in daily moderate exercise and a clean diet, and that is the real medicine for longevity. Anyway, Thanks for putting together a nice video. I know that takes a lot of prep and effort. One last thing: I started using a freestyle libre CGM, and that has really changed how I eat and walk after exercise. Seeing the sugar spike, and come down, is the real motivation. People should look into that. Insurance doesn't cover it, but my health is important to me, so I happily pay $135 a month. Knowledge is power and motivation in my opinion.

Intermittent fasting has softened my stomach fat. Also lots of Kale daily. I'm so glad I kept trying to do Intermittent fasting because it takes practice! It's not an all or nothing kind of deal at first. We are allowed to have hard days and jump right back to it guilt free the next day. Vegetables are poison unless thoroughly cooked
Eat mostly organ meats, red meat WITH the fat, plenty of fruits, some premium ice cream, and at your maintenance caloric intake
@@EriPages the poisons in vegetables are phytonutrients ment to keep insects away or to counter the damage the plant gets from UV exposure. That doesn't mean those phytonutrients are poisonous to humans. Vitamins like c are only available through fruits and vegetables at the same time meat products are highly saturated by insecticides.

That isn't all...the nutrients that ARE absorbable from vegetables are absorbable at a much LOWER rate than the nutrients in meats
The BEST food for nutrients is organ meat...beef liver...chicken hearts...etc. are DELICIOUS...also red meats. Meats don't have insecticide lol, but buy it grass-fed if you can afford it

I started IF 18:6, eating healthier, smaller portions (low cal, fat, sugar, carbs and high protein, fiber) along with exercising and walking in April. So far in 6 weeks I have lost 15 pounds and 1/2-4 inches off different parts of my body.
All is good for me except the exercise because I am a C3 Tetraplegic. If I go down I cannot get back up without 2 guys lifting me. Hahahaha what a predicament I am in! I have fatty liver am type 2 diabetic and overweight from being wheelchair bound. Working on ketogenic diet with omad fasting. 🎉

Easiest diet ever!!! I also started the diet in jan 16th. Starting weight was 179 and now I’m 162 lbs and off my blood pressure meds.
I intermittent fasted in summer of 2020, lost almost 70 lbs, gained it back in 2021 now I’m back on it, fasting for 18 hours only eating in the 6 hour window, drink a lot of water get 8 hours of sleep and do some cardio, the weight will fall off.

I think it bears stressing that for all healthy overweight people and even great majority of people with health problems and obesity, just making couple changes to your life is enough to loose weight and make you healthier:
- exercise at low intensity regularly (walks, brisk walks, jogging) - get your heart to between 60 and 70% of your maximum heart rate and keep it there for 20-30 minutes at least once a day.
- displace processed with unprocessed food in your diet,
- introduce regular periods of fast where you consume no calories at all. This can be as simple as not eating any calories from 5pm until breakfast and will already do wonders.
- take good care that you get good night's sleep in well ventilated room every night.
You don't need medication, you don't need to go permanently hungry, you don't need heroic effort in the gym, you don't need to start eating veggies only.
I would like to make a request. Can you please make a detailed video about ibs? For example how to reduce its effect, how one can live with it, what one should do. I have been suffering with this for the past 5 years. The doctors of my country were no help to me. It would be really helpful to get a detailed opinion on it by some one of your calibre.

The only thing I can't control is my age. I'm 59 I've been an athlete all my life played football and lacrosse in college at Texas tech. I played a lot of softball thru my thirties and forties. I've had three surgeries on my right knee plus 4 orthoscopic procedures I had total replacement surgery in 2019 rehab was a total success as we're all of them. But I'm not nearly as active as I was I haven't gained a lot of belly fat but it's obvious I've put on love handles and some of roundness around my belly. So I'm no spring chicken anymore and I collect disability. I need to and want to drop twenty pounds my playing weight was about 200 to 210 I'm at 230 now. So let's see what we can do
Belly fat may actually be "belly bloat" -- caused by SIBO or SIFO (small intestinal fungal overgrowth). But it may also be caused by something I never hear anyone talk about: Megacolon -- which is an overstretched, oversized colon, caused by chronic constipation ☝🏿️🙏🏿
About the colon; could that also include a twisted colon?
I started Keto last July-Oct and lost 30lbs. Unfortunately I fell off track, but I'm getting back on coarse now. When Dr. Berg was talking about being on a low carb diet and still not being able to lose weight....at first it seemed to take a few months (maybe between 2 or 3) before I actually started losing weight, and even then it was slow in the beginning....but as of now I've lost a little over 30 pounds...so low carb does work, but if you're having problems losing weight, it "could" be that the liver is still making too much glucose possibly. I guess the body has to adapt sometimes and it could take a while before that happens.

I started using berberine this week. Even when I was doing a lot of exercising, boxing and weightlifting, I never got rid of belly fat. I’m skinny a part from belly fat. Even with years of healthy diet. Hopefully berberine will help a bit

My BMI has always been between 22-24, but since 6-7 years ago my BMI have gone past 24 and growing. 2020 when the pandemic hit my BMI have been at 28 by end of 2020.. and stumbled on your Channel, January 2021 i started Keto and after a week i started IF and then OMAD by March my BMI went down to 24 and started Gym and by June my BMI is at 22 with my Visceral area gone flat and have been maintaining till today, i am not on strict Keto now but still on IF/OMAD. Thanks Doc, this is my success story.. my age is 50 btw…
It does not work with autoimmune disorder , I use to be very thin , when I was youger I'm middle aged ,my sister my daughter have thyriod my mom had it too , and getting a Dr. to do the full panel or even check t3 is an up hill. battle

I began using berberine this past Thanksgiving; my grandchildren were hosting the Thanksgiving meal for the first time and I didn’t want to disappoint them. I took 500mg of berberine shortly before the meals and ate everything put before me.😊 I’ve used berberine before meals ever since.

I find it amusing how these type of video show me, that the person doing these excercises are ALWAYS in perfect shape.
To the reader: look on UA-cam for the baby shark dance. I timed it to be about 1 and half minutes. It's TOTALLY intense and it's a belly, compound muscle exercise.
Good luck at doing it the first time around.
When I do the plank I like to make it more intense by extending one arm out to tap the floor then bring it back to both arms in the plank position then I extend the other arm and tap the floor on that side.
In all of this you really feel the abdominal burn and this can burn belly fat throughout the whole day.
This stuff is complex, I’m glad Dr Berg is willing and able to do all the research and to help people to understand all this important research. 😀
I've had 4 c-sections and my stomach is so ugly and it's so hard to get rid of the lower fat and it hangs. Will it be harder for me to get a flat stomach because I've had so many c-sections?
No. May want to use tocotrienols and astaxanthin, additional to his other tips on how to do healthy keto and intermittent fasting correctly.

Put liquid collagen on your tummy it will heal the tummy scars, stretches , and will tighten and tone . With wonderful results . Also the exercises the lady in yellow is for most of us avoid tummy crunches .
riddle me this , my husband was briefly on metformin , it RAISED his fasting insulin by 20 or more 'points' consistently.
He stopped it , fasting sugar stayed around 125 awhile , always craving sugary foods , even though we have it only on birthdays or a major holiday . But one day he spiked to 278 , scared him off carbs - he stopped eating breakfast ( cereals and milk) started fasting 14 hours daily except Sundays , and no carbs for dinner . Also increased raw greens to 7-10 servings . He consistently is under 100 in am , unless we cheat with spagetti dinner or have forbidden treats . He has lost 2 pant sizes an 30 lbs in 60 days .
on my end i fast 18-23 hours 4-5 days a week , went from 22-24 pant size to almost 16 since last November . its mid june now

This has always been me too, which makes me want to ask about your take on lipodystrophy, My endocrinologist recently told me that he believes that I have this. I used to work out and, though my arms and legs would respond and be thin, the weight on my trunk would not budge. My doctor said there is a medication, pioglitazone, that may help distribute the fat more evenly, but he has not prescribed it yet. Do you have any thoughts about that med?

I initally clicked on this video for myself, Im normal size, but I've noticed that I am picking up some belly fat recently. But as Im watching this video I am so glad I clicked on it because this is my mother in laws problem, and she wants to have the gastric bypass surgery. Thank you once again dr. Berg! Great video! Love it! This help me understand of diet even better. Been on low carbs and intermittent fasting. I don't really exercise, i loss a lot of fats and muscle mass but im happy with it. I've been successful with my diet. Loss 106 lbs in 11 months. Planning to do more exercise to tighten up skin. ☺️

I’m 69. I started a high protein diet. I’ve lost 15 pounds. I want to lose 85 more. I don’t drink. I don’t eat bread except gluten free bread. Diet is more important than exercise .
I was 103kg and getting bad heart burn every time I done something strenuous for around 2 years.
3 months ago I’d finally had enough, I gave up sugar full stop and stoped having dinner (still had a good breakfast and lunch) if I’m hungry at dinner time I have an apple or banana ect. I walk 50 minutes every night and I’m now 89kg, I think the secrete is like people who want to quit smoking , if you really want to do it deep down you will.

Already two weeks into the low carb program, my Triglyceride has dropped from the crazy 250 mg/dl to 111 mg/dl which is in the green zone. Also Cholesterin and Glukose dropped, but not as significantly as Triglyceride. So I guess it is working :)
Way to hard! Anyone that can do these exercises doesn’t have a belly. I have 10 lbs to go. I’m 6 ft tall and want to get down to 170. When I’m 170 I’ll party like its 1999 and at 180 I do extended fasting. Health is the most important piece to this puzzle. DONT HURT YOURSELF!
#1 set weight goal. (I can gain 10lbs in 1 night. Weight is a range and not a number)
#2 count calories. Food is too easy to overeat.
#3 eliminate sugar and artificial sweeteners! If your are gonna cheat, CHEAT! Count it and own it.
#4 60 sit-ups a day. Takes 2 minutes and strengthens belly.
#5 cardio workout 30 minutes 3 times a week. This is for health and BP and not weight lose. Years of not working out catches up with you and it takes time to undo if thats even possible. Walking 4 miles a days was not good enough.
#6 do extended fast to reset weight to lower number. Gets a lot easier with time. Amazing how good it makes you feel.
My belly is almost gone and now I almost understand inflammation and leaky gut. Food is everywhere and society wants you to eat it. Learn balance and enjoy and live life, for you only get one shot at it.
The good news is exercise is only 15% of weight loss - and I do agree these are intense.

Iv dropped 22kg to date I do high protein and high fats, bit do daily fasting. I eat around 14h00. I still have lower belly fat. I realize I must remove carbs completely to remove it. I also work out daily. Stairs and walk
