The women in my family have a hereditary tendency even when we are super skinny to store a pocket of fat under our chin that begins in our early 20s. I was the first who decided there must be an exercise to het rid of it, so I began lifting my head, tightening the neck muscles, then pulling my jaw up in a tight slow manner as if scraping chocolate off a large brick. Within a month the double chin was gone, and doibg this once per week has kept the double chin and turkey neck away ever since and I am 60 now.
As a nurse I studied anatomy and physiology. I figured out these things for myself and have been doing facial exercises for years. I can back up his claims that this works. At 62 now, I have very little drop in jowls, and only because I got lazy, and my neck is not droopy at all. For me it's not about looking young, it is about being fit and living healthy and pain free. Use it or lose it is a very true statement.
Definitely does work. I stretch my neck whenever I go to the gym as a part of my whole body routine. I notice neck and shoulder exercises keep my jawline tight. It’s almost instant especially after doing cardio & resistance with weights.
Thanks for your comment. Coming from someone for whom all this has actually worked over a long period of time, and a health care professional too, gives this the credibility I need to actually do these exercises

Am starting these exercises today. I'm a 49 year old woman and I have the beginning of a double chin + less toned neck skin. Will post on my progress in 4 weeks! Thanks!
My uncle age 70 told our family about #2 exercise. We Could Not Stop Laughing how his face looked and he was so serious demonstrating it for awhile. So, it really works he had no double-turkey neck. So i Know that exercise works-guaranteed.
Here's another way, I learn ASL (american sign language). I started when I was a teen, I had to learn facial expression movement for years, I noticed my face tightened my whole face, especially my jawline, and I never had any double chin. This is a real job, almost like exercise with facial expressions. A lot of interpreters say they don't need any plastic surgery. The neck exercise works because too many people don't show facial movement to communicate, they have wall face without moving around the facials. Facial & neck exercise is the real key to staying young.
Also turning your head to the side while during these. Years ago I've concluded that men always have a more toned face and look younger because the contortions while shaving. So those are the type of face and neck exercises I do, which includes some of these
So I have started doing this for 3 days and my loose skin under my chin has tightened by 50%…!! No exaggeration… I am amazed and will keep doing these twice daily. Thank you!! ❤
I have been doing this every day since the video and I am amazed at how my double chin has went up and I can take pictures now without holding the camera way up to disguise my double chin which looked like another person was trying to come out me. Thank you so much for Sharing this video I am Grateful. This Truly Works.
I love that I don't waste my time to wait while he is finished talking to get to the next movement, but that I can complete all 10 movements and get right to the next exercise while he is talking.
Great video, Dr. Berg. I am 72 years old and I work out 3 to 4 times a week. So I’m going to add these exercises to my routine. I don’t have a saggy chin now, but I don’t want to develop one either.
Dear Dr Berg you had said if we stop eating sugar our chalazion would go away on its own- I followed your agvice and finally it went away - it took 3 and a half years for me( i had gone to an eye dr and he wanted to operate me I preferred to follow your advice and im free from chalazion on my eye All thanks to your advice / recommendation We are lucky to have dr Berg in our life.
Funny enough, basic weight lifting naturally creates those same movements. Plus older people should still be weight training to keep muscle and bone density. It's a win-win. . . .
Sure does.I stretch my neck as apart of my total body stretching anytime I go to the gym (3x a week). Been doing it since high school. When I don’t do it my jawline softens. When I do I sharpens up!
Been waiting all my life for this! Thanks so much. It seems to me some peoples are more prone to double chins than others. I live in Europe and wonder if one's language doesn't play a role. For example, The Dutch almost all seem to have a double chin (a Dutch dialect is the closest language to English). But the French and Italians show this trait far, far less often. French, especially, is apparently the most challenging language muscle-wise, requiring 'gymnastics' rarely needed to speak other languages (our mother-tongue gets physically hard-wired into us by age 6). All that led me to wonder if it didn't produce these tight, perfect chins way into old age. (Of course, their good diets surely help, also.)
Thank you sir, you have given me more information in a couple of months than school has given me in years. I am truly grateful for you and your efforts.
Oh gosh! I hope this truly works Doc as I've been so self conscious of my turkey neck all my life to the point of considering laser or surgery or something to get a 'straight chin'/neck. People have teased me too. Here goes!🇦🇺🙏🙏🙏
Yes 👏🏻 it works!! I toll my daughter, and she said what did you do?! No more turtle neck ! Wow 🤩 thank you 🙏🏻 I’m 63 year old, thank you Dr God bless you, now we all doing it my two daughters 🥰🥰👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻🙏🏻🇨🇦
So easy! Intuitively, I've been doing the mouth-gaping move several times a day during my breaks at work and I've noticed it brightens my face somehow. But these moves should really help and are not hard at all. Thank you Dr. Berg. I'm female 65
Smashing video, Dr Berg! Good to see you've brought up these exercises for such neglected part of the body especially when we're spending more time on mobiles nowadays. You're a wonderful health professional. Thank you so much 🙏🏻
I would love to see more exercise videos like this one! I keep seeing ads for chair exercises but you have to pay to find out what they are for, or how to do them
I will be trying this. I’ve had this problem since I was in my 20’s (now in my 50’s) my mother had it and so did my grandma, I have always been so self conscious about it and now it’s even worse with my age. I hope it works. Thank you
I was sitting with my husband in the nature today, admiring how nature is beautiful…I asked him: What is the wisdom that as we age we sag, develope wrinkles and look different. why don’t we stay a kind of the same when we age and die?Thank you Dr.Berg for teaching us not only how we maintain our health, but also how to work on our look, at least we slow down the appearance of aging! Thank you.
I am a perfect test subject for these exercises. I have tried others that didn't seem to do much, but these are different. I'll let you know. I will say that for someone like me this can take months, so don't give up after a couple of weeks.
I'm 68 and just started loosing my necks firmness I thought it was loose skin from gaining and loosing weight Then i didn't know what to do You've helped me so much doc Thank you! I'll come back and let you know what I've accomplished.
I’m 63 and I have good “aging” genes. But I’ve had serious issues w/turkey neck (maybe partially due to severe weight fluctuations) for years now! I’m starting these today and staying on them! I’m going to take my “before” pics right now!
I found out many years ago when my mom started to have trouble swallowing that a simple exercise while in bed without a pillow helps those muscles. Lay flat and simply raise and lower your head several times. This video is a good reminder for that issue also. When I go to get my hair done and they have your head hanging in the sink, I always use my neck muscles to raise my head up just a little while they wash and rinse hair. Granted it's not every day but it still counts. I'm saving this video to replay so I remember to keep it up.
Dr. Berg, I appreciate your insights. However, you rarely show younger people who really don't have these problems. Get some of us OLD folks to demonstrate these things.
You can start with moving your eyeybrows, that area strengthens. Before you know it you can control your head muscles and you can jiggle your ears too.
I just started doing these exercises today and can really feel the different muscles that I never think of. Amazing. It's true "Use it or lose it" I'll keep doing these in addition to nutrition and exercise. Excellent advice.
hi, i've done the first two exercises on my own for several years now, 30reps in bed about 5 days a week in the morning. i pretty much knew some yoga, and then came up with these on my own using basic understanding of the areas i wanted to hit. i experimented and can say as a matter of fact these have worked to help those areas, otherwise i would not still be doing them. your third exercise looks great and is one i had not come up with. trying it with your video i could feel it working those areas quite a bit, even tho it's very simple and not strenuous. the last exercise is more a muscular exercise and one i also figured out on my own, tho actually it's a pretty standard one to build up the neck. i don't hang my head backward over the bed, but rather double up my pillow and stuff it under my midback, which gives me the space to get the same kind of range backwards, so i have a full range of motion. i've worked up to 40 reps from full back to full forward and can say this is enough to wear my neck muscle out even tho i use no added weight. this expands the neck muscles somewhat and has helped fill out my neck a bit, which eats up any space behind any sagging skin. my point with all this is to say i do all your exercises except no.3 and can say that over time they have not only worked, but have been the only non-surgical way i can see to get an effect in this area. further, your third exercise looks and feels excellent as well, and i will add that to the mix. thanks!
@@ArchUser0 I googled the comment and this is what I found - Red light therapy stimulates collagen and elastin production. This makes your skin tighter and more youthful-looking. With more collagen to work with, your body will look more contoured and toned as your skin settles closer to your figure.

Incredible! Thank you, Dr. Berg. I really needed this video. I have this loose skin at 72. My entire family has it. I read a comment that someone had a similar issue, but she fixed it. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Dr. Berg: more videos on facial excercises please. I've been researching them lately to come up with a regimen. The ones in this video were good. I tried 3 sets of 12 reps each (20 -30 reps might be even better) and felt that difference you feel from exercising other muscles & body parts. 👍The muscles don't stop at the shoulders! 👍
Thabks you I’m so pleased you released this Turkey Neck video I’ll practise it every day. I also need to strengthen My leg muscles because I’m 79 and even I fall I can’t get myself up because my legs have no strength in them. I’ve subscribed to you today this is such wonderful information. I want to look and feel stronger before I turn 80 on 31/8/25. 😊
Great exercises for neck and throat. I do 2 of those but not consistently which is key. Do exercises for lymphatic drainage…again, consistency vital. Thanks for sharing Dr. Berg!
Very good exercises..i have been doing # 2 for almost a year and barely have double chin. Im 68 and feel good about my chin now. Ill definitely incorporate the other exercises. Thank you for sharing😊
After my first day of doing this my lower neck was sore. I have never felt like this in that area before. It’s absolutely true that this part of my body I have never worked before.
I've done some of these, but one has to be consistent! Am 76 and don't have too many wrinkles , mostly genetic since my late grandmother hardly had any at age 86 when she passed away. Staying out of the noon day sun helps, moisturizing since I was in my 20s, not smoking or drinking alcohol too much and a clean diet! Smoking is the worst and ages one faster than anything! Thanks for the tips, god forbid we look like a turkey or we might get served up for Thanksgiving! lol Keep your sense of humor, you'll need it as you age, keeps you young at heart! 💗💗💗🦃🦃🦃🦃
This is absolutely true! I figured this out on my own just trying to get relief from soar neck muscles. Ive been doing #3 for a year now and have noticed a big difference. Thanks Dr. Berg for always sharing the good stuff!
Been doing these types of exercises for decades, since highschool. It pays off very well. And don't forget daily skincare for your neck and upper chest areas. Especially high SPF sunblock and sunscreen! It's absolutely essential
I love facial exercises. They work amazingly and most people think im 10-15 years younger than i am. Im 43 and people gasp when i tell them..they all think im 28-30.
Dr berg I cannot express my happiness properly. Typing the comment with jaw pain and almost no double chin. I am grateful to you. I am doing this exercise for 2 days for about 10 times each exercise. My double chin is really gone though my jaw n front lower part is hurting a bit. but it’s getting in shape. No exaggeration. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I am glad i gave it a try your magical exercise. ❤️ Um using Castor oil on skin. Feeling like um getting my desired face and skin. Alhamdulillah 😘❤️

I have been following a UA-cam channel for about 2-3 years now. I strength train 3 days per week and do cardio the other 3. One day mobility is added in and sometimes the instructor adds in neck exercises. It definitely helps strengthen the muscles and helps with posture and turkey neck. I will add these exercises in. Thank you!
Swimming and running keep the chin and neck firm and take off the fat too. There is a pose in Yoga called the Lion pose (roar) where you stick out your face, tongue, and eyebrows, while jutting out your chin. It relaxes all the facial muscles and works them. Releases tension in jaw too.
Thank you Dr.Berg! This is an annoying problem that i have since loosing 45 lbs. I tried these excersizes this morning and i can really feel it in my neck! I will do these for a month and check back.
Your comment stuck out to me because I'm also a TN patient. I've been in remission for 2 5 years with no episodes. #1) if you're on a statin (cholesterol lowering drug) GET OFF THEM. Your trigeminal nerve NEEDS cholesterol to 'cushion' the nerve (mylen sheath) 2) Reduce your inflammation (Dr Berg has loads of info on how) 3) don't take unnecessary vaccines. My TN is a result of the yellow fever vaccine. I pray that you find relief from this devastating disease ❤

Thanks for the insight
Also turning your head to the side while during these.
Years ago I've concluded that men always have a more toned face and look younger because the contortions while shaving. So those are the type of face and neck exercises I do, which includes some of these
Also using oil to shave instead of "soap".
So I have started doing this for 3 days and my loose skin under my chin has tightened by 50%…!! No exaggeration… I am amazed and will keep doing these twice daily. Thank you!! ❤
How many reps of each?
@@SweetDee73 About 10 - 15 each. I really do it often during the day (around 3x).
Good luck!
@@nathalie.1971 thank you!! Best of luck to you too!
Wise.
I was thinking of how to solve this problem yesterday and this video showed Up 😢 seems like dr. Berg be reading my mind 😅
You are blessed
Thank you ! I'm hopeful this will help. Have a great day everybody😊
Dear Dr Berg you had said if we stop eating sugar our chalazion would go away on its own- I followed your agvice and finally it went away - it took 3 and a half years for me( i had gone to an eye dr and he wanted to operate me
I preferred to follow your advice and im free from chalazion on my eye
All thanks to your advice / recommendation
We are lucky to have dr Berg in our life.
I've been exercising my neck and jaw for over an year and i can see significant improvements. Well, I'm 25 and want to have a sharp jawline. 😊
Check out the book "Breath" by James Nestor.
Love you Dr. Eric cannot thank you enough for your time and energy sharing and teaching us with your videos. Don’t stop!
We need you 😊
Funny enough, basic weight lifting naturally creates those same movements. Plus older people should still be weight training to keep muscle and bone density. It's a win-win. . . .
Interesting!
Sure does.I stretch my neck as apart of my total body stretching anytime I go to the gym (3x a week). Been doing it since high school. When I don’t do it my jawline softens. When I do I sharpens up!
Agreed! Also, situps on an incline bench can have the same effect!
Ty sir. You care about everyone, even elderly. I appreciate you ❤
No problem. Glad to help you all!

How many days did it take and how long/often do you do them?
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
No problem. Glad to share these exercises. Hope they will help you.
I would love to see more exercise videos like this one! I keep seeing ads for chair exercises but you have to pay to find out what they are for, or how to do them
Not from Bob a Brad. Lots of chair exercises, no pay!
Hi there. Thanks for the video suggestion.
I will be trying this. I’ve had this problem since I was in my 20’s (now in my 50’s) my mother had it and so did my grandma, I have always been so self conscious about it and now it’s even worse with my age. I hope it works. Thank you
Thank you Dr.BERG
I watched a video called the scariest "doctor" on youtube changed my mind about him

How often are you doing these exercises per week?
I'm 68 and just started loosing my necks firmness I thought it was loose skin from gaining and loosing weight Then i didn't know what to do You've helped me so much doc Thank you! I'll come back and let you know what I've accomplished.
Very glad you found this helpful, do let us know how it goes!
Greetings from Greece Dr Berg, you are a modern day saint, wish you all the best !
Greetings fellow Greek! I agree he is great and i just found his channel. I have been watching all his videos.
I have to say my jawline is aching after doing those exercises!
you didnt use it for decades!
Keep going if you seek change.
It means it is working, keep it up....
You can start with moving your eyeybrows, that area strengthens. Before you know it you can control your head muscles and you can jiggle your ears too.
❤because it's working Bravo!❤
I just started doing these exercises today and can really feel the different muscles that I never think of. Amazing. It's true "Use it or lose it" I'll keep doing these in addition to nutrition and exercise. Excellent advice.
hi, i've done the first two exercises on my own for several years now, 30reps in bed about 5 days a week in the morning. i pretty much knew some yoga, and then came up with these on my own using basic understanding of the areas i wanted to hit. i experimented and can say as a matter of fact these have worked to help those areas, otherwise i would not still be doing them. your third exercise looks great and is one i had not come up with. trying it with your video i could feel it working those areas quite a bit, even tho it's very simple and not strenuous. the last exercise is more a muscular exercise and one i also figured out on my own, tho actually it's a pretty standard one to build up the neck. i don't hang my head backward over the bed, but rather double up my pillow and stuff it under my midback, which gives me the space to get the same kind of range backwards, so i have a full range of motion. i've worked up to 40 reps from full back to full forward and can say this is enough to wear my neck muscle out even tho i use no added weight. this expands the neck muscles somewhat and has helped fill out my neck a bit, which eats up any space behind any sagging skin. my point with all this is to say i do all your exercises except no.3 and can say that over time they have not only worked, but have been the only non-surgical way i can see to get an effect in this area. further, your third exercise looks and feels excellent as well, and i will add that to the mix. thanks!
Wonderful. Glad these exercises helped you. Thanks for sharing your experience here. Stay safe!
How many remember Carole Maggio, the original Facercise lady. She must be in her 70s by now if she’s still alive.
Red light helped tighten my neck after weight loss!
can u explain that?
@@ArchUser0 It's too much to explain, look up photobiomodulation or red light therapy.... The benefits are endless and one is skin tightening!
@@ArchUser0 I googled the comment and this is what I found - Red light therapy stimulates collagen and elastin production. This makes your skin tighter and more youthful-looking. With more collagen to work with, your body will look more contoured and toned as your skin settles closer to your figure.
You know doc I've been following you for years now. You never disappoint. You are always sharing great information. Thank you!
Glad to know that you liked this post!

I regularly watching your video's sir, it has really made a difference in my overall health. Thankyou sir for this contribution to humanity.❤
I'm glad I could assist you.
I also need to strengthen
My leg muscles because I’m 79 and even I fall I can’t get myself up because my legs have no strength in them.
Berg!
No problem. Wishing you good health!
These types of exercises work. I've been doing my own version of these for years. I'm 55 and still have the neck and jawline I had at 35.
Thank you Dr. Berg! I appreciate you sharing this! I never knew what I could do for my neck.
I do facial exercises but not these (yet). Thank you Dr. Berg!! I will be incorporating them into my daily routine. ❤
You're welcome. Hope they will help you.
I will try this and comment here again after 2mos
No you won't
Been doing these exercises since i was a teen. Im 34 now & no double chin. My mother showed me these tricks when i was younger
This is absolutely true! I figured this out on my own just trying to get relief from soar neck muscles. Ive been doing #3 for a year now and have noticed a big difference. Thanks Dr. Berg for always sharing the good stuff!
Very good, also I used to do payot exercises years ago . It's easy to forget to do these types of exercises and it looks nice when necks are toned.

This where it starts 1:11
This Channel has been a game changer for me since few years now ! Cannot thank enough !
I grew a beard to hide my turkey neck but I'd like to ditch it so will give these a try, thanks!
Releases tension in jaw too.
true, I have noticed when I swim more, my neck is less saggy
Thank you! ❤ I am going to start trying these exercises. I am starting to see the turkey next at 40 now.
Most welcome!
I have been doing these exercises for 28 years. I do not have any sagging or drooping around the jaw line or neck.
I felt the muscles working immediately. Thank you
1:35 “years since you activated this muscle” … Dr. Berg what are you saying??!!😅
Thank you Doc, you are a life safer to many. 1st time hearing about this, I will get on it right away, I am 57 years of age.

Please do an updated Trigeminal Neuralgia video. I've been suffering for about a year and a half. Also, is Low Carb/Keto good for it?
Your comment stuck out to me because I'm also a TN patient. I've been in remission for 2 5 years with no episodes.
#1) if you're on a statin (cholesterol lowering drug) GET OFF THEM. Your trigeminal nerve NEEDS cholesterol to 'cushion' the nerve (mylen sheath)
2) Reduce your inflammation (Dr Berg has loads of info on how)
3) don't take unnecessary vaccines. My TN is a result of the yellow fever vaccine.
I pray that you find relief from this devastating disease ❤
@WomanFromTheWell Thank you so much. I know I'm inflamed. I think that will help a lot. I'm also a caregiver to my mom, who has Schizophrenia so it's crazy stressful. Luckily, I have a vacation coming up, and she will be with my cousin, so that may help.
