Washington is always forcing a great receiver out of his natural spot .. Terry is a pro bowl #2 deep threat . .. Washington needs a big pocession receiver to compliment Terry at split .. Terry at the strong side flanker.

As it became evident in the game, throwing or handing off the ball to people who don't have break away speed will not result in a touchdown. The reason Terry is a number one receiver is because he has the speed to take it to the house. Put the ball in the hands of the touch down maker more offend than not.
Don't call anybody number one when you need a good committee but if you do have a Randy Moss then you do have something that changes the game for the other guys. Terry doesn't do that

After watching these snaps, Terry isn’t getting much separation, and Jayden is extra careful with ball security. That explains Terry’s decline in production. Seems that the DB’s are just keeping Terry in front of them, sitting on him. Terry’s routs aren’t making hard-fast breaks inside or outside to create separation, and I really don’t see a lot of speed or double moves to get these defenders to bite. Terry is a great teammate and valuable player, but he isn’t playing like a true #1 right now, for whatever reason. He actually looks a little slow, and not totally dialed in.
I have been saying for 5 years that Terry is a qualified NFL player but he is NOT an #1 receiver. We have been depleted of talent so long when someone competent comes along we fans exalt them to some superior status. Most of the time you can't stop a number 1 or you may need to double him. Half of these are on Jayden not showing enough patience in his reads because he doesn’t want to take a hit in the pocket. Alot of these receivers are open. Later in the game Jayden did better and I expect him to show more restraint and trust his arm and receivers as he gets more acclimated with his timing along with the Oline meshing together. It usually takes about 3-4 games but I believe Jayden will get there

Terry can’t beat press or get separation, I’ve said this all offseason this why I wanted a trade…..there’s really no suck thing as a “#1” receiver, its just a lot of us grew up on the typical X being the best in teams, T.O, moss, calvin, Julio, Andre ….the X are typically bigger body receivers that can beat press, block and get deep(speed/height), you don’t have to pull them out on run plays or run away from their side….Terry/dotson you have to run away from their side, and they have to play just the Y or Z where they job is to play over middle or get deep. Without a true X Terry won’t have those free releases, and with him playing X he can’t get open. Terry isn’t bad he just is t a true X, neither is chase, tyreek, welker. Y’all think I’m/we tryin to bash Terry but it’s the truth, he needs to be traded, aiyuk would be perfect for this team cause he is an X and that’ll allow Terry/dotson to play off the line more and consistently, look at Texans X Nico(big target) Y diggs(route and deep) Z dell (deep)
Kliff came from drawing up plays for kyler. No way he has an arsenal of throwing plays for wrs. His best schemes will be screens and qb runs. Everything else is sub par and easily picked up by a defensive coordinator

There’s no creativity with the route concepts. Too many WR screens, he needs to implement some bootlegs and develop the run game out of the bootlegs. Will Kingsbury ever line up Daniel’s under center or use any I-formations using the short passing game? Offense is just too vanilla at this point.
some QBs has chemistry with certain receivers. When Wentz was QB he threw to Dotson all the time and made him look like a start. heinicke would throw to terry all the time. its just how it is. some QBs and WRs just dont mesh well together.

Terry is excellent at the jump ball and needs to be lined up to be 1st read in most progressions. Terry open looks a little different he plays through contact you have to throw it up for him in 1v1 situations he wont always have 5 yards of separation
Terry needs more double move cutback routes, due to our O line play, or cut in, cut out, Luke McCaffrey needs to be targeted more down the field when he's streaking butt naked. Our line needs to tighten up on pass pro, also receivers gotta block better

During the play when he threw the floater to Zack (18:09) wasn’t really a floater he got hit but was still able to get it there. 💪🏾

Since when does Terry need to be open to catch the ball? He's one of the best contested catchers in the league. You aren't making sense. They are taking it slow with JD, and playing a horizontal passing game for his first few games. He will eventually start hitting receivers downfield.

Half of these are on Jayden not showing enough patience in his reads because he doesn’t want to take a hit in the pocket. Alot of these receivers are open. Later in the game Jayden did better and I expect him to show more restraint and trust his arm and receivers as he gets more acclimated with his timing along with the Oline meshing together. It usually takes about 3-4 games but I believe Jayden will get there
He's already much further along than all the other rookie QBs and 1/2 the other older QBs in the league.

Terry can’t beat press or get separation, I’ve said this all offseason this why I wanted a trade…..there’s really no suck thing as a “#1” receiver, its just a lot of us grew up on the typical X being the best in teams, T.O, moss, calvin, Julio, Andre ….the X are typically bigger body receivers that can beat press, block and get deep(speed/height), you don’t have to pull them out on run plays or run away from their side….Terry/dotson you have to run away from their side, and they have to play just the Y or Z where they job is to play over middle or get deep. Without a true X Terry won’t have those free releases, and with him playing X he can’t get open. Terry isn’t bad he just is t a true X, neither is chase, tyreek, welker. Y’all think I’m/we tryin to bash Terry but it’s the truth, he needs to be traded, aiyuk would be perfect for this team cause he is an X and that’ll allow Terry/dotson to play off the line more and consistently, look at Texans X Nico(big target) Y diggs(route and deep) Z dell (deep)
Kliff came from drawing up plays for kyler. No way he has an arsenal of throwing plays for wrs. His best schemes will be screens and qb runs. Everything else is sub par and easily picked up by a defensive coordinator

Terry has been going against press man with a safety shaded to his side, or double in zone in the first 2 games, until another wide out makes them play honest he will continue to be the focus, because as soon as he is not, he is going to eat. Continued focus on the running game and the play action will have him eating even more.

Terry really is that good when he had certain qbs throwing him 10+ targets. Throw him 15-25 yd 50/50 balls and he will eat. Top 10-20 wr. But nabers just showed something different. He’s not big enough to body other grown men Jj Chase mhj Adam’s style. His max is more like peak Stefon Diggs level. That’s always how I’ve seen him. Terry does not block consistently, and does not maintain what few good blocks he achieves. That's not going to cut it in this offense. Might be hurt. Might be the scheme.
There’s no creativity with the route concepts. Too many WR screens, he needs to implement some bootlegs and develop the run game out of the bootlegs. Will Kingsbury ever line up Daniel’s under center or use any I-formations using the short passing game? Offense is just too vanilla at this point.

some QBs has chemistry with certain receivers. When Wentz was QB he threw to Dotson all the time and made him look like a start. heinicke would throw to terry all the time. its just how it is. some QBs and WRs just dont mesh well together.
If JD is as good as he's supposed to be he'll make it work. Good QBs make the talent work. It might not be the numbers people want but they'll make it work.

He is not a true number one. A nomber 1will get open no matter what. He is not dynamic enough to be a number one. For instance, he does not have blazing speed. He is not a tall guy with an insane catch radius. He is not physically dominant. However he is a very good wr and does needs more targets.

Terry is excellent at the jump ball and needs to be lined up to be 1st read in most progressions. Terry open looks a little different he plays through contact you have to throw it up for him in 1v1 situations he wont always have 5 yards of separation
