Ridiculous. A console from 2002 just happened to be lying in a field covered in "rust". Also, the cleaning a hard drive by dropping it into a bucket of water was especially hilarious.
you, uh.... you can actually do that.
what you never saw rusty plasitc xbox? Everyone watching this cannel knows that plastic consoles rust - xboxex, ps1's, gamebys's ect--
There are so many fake restoration channels on YT, it must be quite the earner for these guys.
Actually its in 2001.
look if he let it dry off completely then it will work but the corrosion may corrupt the data on it
I repair consoles, and I'm still amazed to see youtube allowing fake content. For those who still doubt, plastic cases don't rust.
isnt that dried mud?
@@randompopcat202 Hahaha I was wondering. My impression of it, is they sprayed something that rusts and then left it in the mud 6 weeks. There is some dried mud all over indeed. RIP console anyway, it's called editing in reverse and many noobs will fall for this scam.
You don't restore mummified Xboxes, or mudified for that matter.
I also repair consoles and I thought the same thing. I’ve seen some bad shape consoles but, this one takes the cake. I’d let this one go, for sure. RIP OGXBOX
Wait so what ur saying is that this video is fake?
I have seen a towel that had rust. Maybe it stuck on to it. But it is still possible that it is fake. I have never seen it happen that much.
This man is quite an artist, he manages to paint all kinds of plastic as if it were metallic oxide.
이거어떻게 수리하신겁니까!!
1. You take running Xbox and record last part of movie.
2. You throw that xbox into river.
3. You record how you find it and record cleaning process.
Thats how these videos are made, yes still almost 3mln view - amazing.
This feels like the whole thing was a set up
Ya think?

WoW! So amazing how all of these treasures are just laying around out in the mud. I have been buying electronics from big stores for years and to know now that all I had to do was look in my backyard after a rainstorm and I could have found all that I ever needed, threw the stuff in the dishwasher, set to rapid dry and BAMM I have a new device. Pure magic...
.....the MUD is everything.... ......praise the holy Mud..........
I love the sarcasm xD
Lol
Lol
I'm going to go to my local recycling centre, grab all electronics, dump them in mud for 6 weeks.
Then I'm going to rinse it all off with my garden hose, and voila, all fixed.
Who needs them expensive repair centres anyway, they know nothing about mud repairs.
Amazing restoration! All they needed was some spraypaint and another perfectly working xbox to pull the parts from.
Its fake.

The other related channel currently featuring a BMDaewoo is funny as well, except the guy deletes your comments if you point out he chopped off the roof of it before pretending it's a convertible.
My man’s fr just put a hard drive in water and it still worked
Either he’s a genius
Or he replaced the hard drive
Probably the second one

EVERYTHING is fake in these videos
EXTREMELY fake
You guys don't clean psu and motherboard with water and soap?
I hate this liar .
Should have spray painted it before you hid it in the mud out back. The mud would have come off more easily when cleaning it. I would also have left the hard drive in the water a lot longer as it makes the disk spin faster when it’s full of water.
I do have to give you kudos on adding more solder to points you were already seeing a measurement on. More solder will have given more conductivity on an already conductive path. Genius.
from an ancient looking xbox to a brand new one
How do you manage to find so many plastic devices that rust? That is a miracle in itself!
No. He found the only one with a metal case.LOL
Its not rust its mud , haven't you ever seen dried mud before . This way probably from a flood or something .
They grow Metal Xboxes cases in fields in Thailand, didn't you know lol...

Amazing how “plastic” can rust after only 20 years….
its amazing that plastic rusts after being outside i never knew that and i never knew youtube allows fake content on here i guess am learning new things everyday
I still can't believe my eyes, washing the whole xbox with water especially hard drive. This guy is either a genius or making a fool of us lot 🤣

0:35 OK, even the most optimistic electrician on the planet could tell you that thing is beyond hope. And yes I watched all the way to the end. You cannot "clean" a hard disc drive that way and have it work. Also the motherboard is swapped out for a different one in the video, just pay close attention folks.
that just means he swapped it out for a broken one. lol. that gpu in the new mobo is fried.
In fact, it's the same pieces (Boards, HDD, ...)
They just filmed the "clean" parts before, then they "destroyed" it.
If you look closely, you can see their garbade solder work on the mainboard when they are "cleaning" it.

Rusted plastic is so hard to restore ! Good job !
Just last week I was thinking, “You know what my PS5 could use? A good old washing. Plastics and all.”
I especially enjoyed how you washed a date back on to the deck of the optical drive. 10:25 nothing on metal deck. then presto 18:30 MAR 2005. impressive. Almost as impressive as that solder not penetrating anything. You got me once buddy. I need to move by that river too.
Well, you took another drive instead of the deceased, so show it honestly. He even deliberately took out the middle and inserted it back, as if it were the same restored drive. In the meantime, this is a completely different drive without damage.
The hard drive in the first frames is absolutely rusty. On subsequent frames, it is clean, like new, even stickers. I am almost sure that the assembly and launch were filmed first, and only then all the parts were dirty, thrown, then supposedly washed on camera.
I agree with Dan Comber, there's nothing wrong with this X-Box, he just made it look that way...
Да, да так и было. До сих пор в неё играю, живее всех живых
Oh boy he’s making a Superman Xbox
This HAD to be a bait and switch. They planted the fake, muddy Xbox, bring it home, toss it in the soap water, take their own Xbox apart, spray it, make it look nice, reassemble and LOOK! You got a functioning Xbox with games already installed!
Ummm... Those are game saves... Not installed games. This was before the age of game installation on the hard drive and not needing a disk to play said game.

@@ioriyagami347 uhhh.... No it didn't. This is the first generation Xbox and it did not have games loaded in it. What you're seeing in the hard drive is games that were played in the past and they're save points are saved on the memory so you can put the game back in the console and you can continue playing where you left off. Sorry to burst your bubble but it’s fake.
The one component I don't believe for one second that could be restored in that condition is the laser assembly. Very fine and delicate wiring and not to mention the lens.
I was thinking this also as I was watching this, the disk drive apart from the tray itself looked completely new, compared to the previous shot. Didn't even show him cleaning the rails or anything, but this is still pretty cool.
