I know the news was coming out of Hawkes Bay but almost nothing out of Te Tai Rawhiti and east cape.
We are thinking about all of you down there and everything and everyone who got washed away.
I have tears watching you amazing strong people.
I wish that that Princess from England knew about kindness and generosity that I have learned about persistently from tangata whenua- the people who never walk past when someone is hurting or in need.
We have heard from Primd Minister Sumac and the Aussies. Isn't there anything Anne can say or do? Or will I always feel ashamed.
Thankyou for sharing this, we are from the Waikato. My kids and grandkids are Tainui. From around Kawhia.
Why the *hang* do you feel ashamed for Princess Anne?! I'm not.
Glad they're all safe, that's all.
How did Princess Anne make you feel ashamed? What did she actually do that was shameful?
The royal family hold title to 6.6 billion acres of land - stolen land. They don't care about anybody but themselves.
My whakapapa comes from Tainui too kia Ora. I think The Princess royal did make a statement earlier yesterday
Bashing Princess Anne is deplorable. It's not her fault.
Kia kaha whanau xx My heart has been heavy feeling helpless seeing it all unfold from here in Wellington 😭😔
Good, honest, hard working peoples lives forever impacted but still trying to see the positive. Kia Kaha

I love The Maori people with the traditional face tattoos. When non-Indigenous people claim predudism if they can't get a job because their face is covered in tattoos I have little sympathy for them because they don't have to cover their face with tattoos......With Maoris it is cultural so there is a reason behind it. My favorite in Maori women with a tattoo just on their chin......It looks so elegant.
Heartbreaking 💔
Much love from the Waikato
