Finding the strength to protect your family like that, you are an absolute legend
That was the best hug I ever saw! Am so sorry, for the loss of your property, and the total devastation that Northern New Zealand, has gone through. So glad to see you and your brother found each other and you and your family alive! Very thankful for the rescuers and the lovely lady who offered you a camper till the area is repaired. Glad your all alive, including the dog!
These families are so inspirational. I'm so grateful you're safe. Sending love, hope and prayers to you all in N.Z from America 🇺🇲❣️🇳🇿
That's a good brother who keeps coming over and putting his arm around this man who's been through such a harrowing ordeal with his family. ❤️
So good and a blessing that this man and his family are safe.
My heart to your heart Brave Daddy! Having been through 2 devastating floods in Queensland over 12 years ago my tears still flow when I watch the heartbreak of my fellow Kiwi's. You will experience crying for years...but keep in your mind you are all alive...and get to see your children grow up. You are a Hero! 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖
Really it was a scary moment!
The most important part is that the family was safe n sound!
Materials things got severely damaged, but when family joins hands together nothing will seem impossible.....
Life of family member matters.....
Be courageous and thankful in such critical instances!
The power of love and resilence of this courageous father. Our prayers, love and respect to our Kiwi brothers and sister. I can't even imagine... devastanting heartbreaking. Stay strong.
I cryed mate, so scary - thank God everyone is alive xx
Brought me to tears. Cant even imagine how horrifying that must have been! Leaves one speechless really but thank goodness the family survived!
Bless those that helped this lovely man and his family. Got emotional, could feel his heartbreak and devastastation 💔
Possessions come and go and can be reacquired. Family comes and is gone forever. He has a good attitude on what really matters.
Guys so glad you kept your family safe. Bloody heart breaking.
WOW-- That's so amazing Brothers come together it's so inspiring.. Well done !! You are so brave & strong 💪.. God bless ....
From Australia guys.
Wish I was home to help...
Thinking of you all.
Hugs all round.....
Bless you all. It sounds just so traumatic.
Wishing you all the very best.
Absolutely horrific. Thank goodness for great neighbours & family ❤️💝
Happy to see you all safe and alive. This cyclone kicked out backside NZ, thank God for your resilience.
Keep your head up bro, you kept your family safe and you should be proud, even though your stuff has gone you still have your whanau, you should be proud of yourself
Thats incredible the amount of silt....so blessed your all safe.
Family is all that matters 💞
And well done dad you saved your family! You will be ok 💞
So sorry for your situation mate, for your family to go through what they have.
Were all kiwis on a little island mate, stay strong, we're coming to help
Gees, what do'ya say bro. Hard to comprehend, so what the hell was it like for this guy and his family. Hearts with you bro.
I can't even imagine what that must have been like. I went through the Christchurch earthquakes and that was frightening but it was nothing to what that would have been like. And to think, stories like this would have been happening all over the areas that the cyclone hit. My heart goes out to you.
Our heart goes out to you, hope you will be able to overcome this with all your strength😢
I am so glad you guys are safe.
😭😭 Heartbreaking! Praise God you and family came out safe and well x
So glad to hear that you survived
Hug your brother. XX
You just cry as you watch. All they can say is they are glad to be alive. How scary, how devastating.
So thankful yous are here today, for acknowledging the valiant rescuers, 3 maori (navy seals),...& typically of us kiwis, offering to give them some beers😁...& to Joy. A very appropriate name for her.
Much love & light.
We, as New Zealanders, in the face of anything, do take care of each other & our communities.
💖🙏
I cant imagine what this and other families went through. We were flooded a few years ago but nothing to this level. Your in my thoughts.
So heartbreaking 💔 😭 I'm so sorry, love n care from Australia 🧡💚
We are not seeing all these stories on Australia TV, the devastation in NZ is heart breaking. Kiwi's here wanting to donate to our fellow NewZealanders.
Amazing they survived looking at that silt - great call by the 111 operator to get in the ceiling - saved them for sure. Best of luck for the long road ahead.
If only this Govt could deliver something.
Oh my heart !! ... thank God you and your whanau are safe
So sorry for you and your family..blessings love and prayers from SA 🇿🇦🙏😥
May God protect NZ and give them strength, courage and protection. 🙏☘️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏📿

No one knows what to say... we are so glad your family are alive. Thanks to those 3 guys for rescuing them and the others also. That's NZers being NZers.
This looks like the aftermath of the Japan earthquake. I’m in Hastings and it’s shocking I didn’t even flood. It’s heartbreaking to see this. I’m so sorry for all of you affected. ❤❤❤❤

So sad to see this disaster hitting families in Auckland 💔🇳🇿
I'm sorry about your property I'm happy you and family dog is safe
Господи это ужасно!!!У нас на Донбассе тоже все разрушено,но у нас война.Господи помоги людям пережить эти невзгоды!!!❤️❤️❤️
This is a natural disaster, it’s so hard to imagine people inflicting this damage on each other, our thoughts are with you but what else can we do 😔
There is so much to say.. I think he said it all.. with his brother by his side.. the Maori navy seals pulling them out and taking them to see Joy at the farm. This reminds me of how I am somewhat estranged from my family. I’m gonna watch this clip again and again.
fuck man thats crazy seeing the mud that high on houses , feel like this is worse than the auckland damages
Love to all of our hawks bay whanau/families. ❤️ 💙 🙌 together we stand, together we will rebuild, together with lots of help and courage, strength, we all will strive again.. Are roads open? Are we able to get to napier and help out? I'll bring my shovel and my own man power tautoko...
Love bro
❤️❤️❤️
Thank goodness they are alive but what shocking devastation!
Graças a Deus os irmaos se encontraram saos e salvos
This has to be one of the most extreme examples so far?
Any new homes with a longrun or coloursteel roof need to have an escape hatch as part of the building permit
The whole world has been facing disaster. How sad to see people suffer 😢.
Hoooo my god I am going to Auckland on march 7 for tourism is all the area of Auckland like that
♥️
Sending all the Aroha and Karakia, Iwi o Aotearoa. Kia Kaha.
Wow, they survived, thk God.
😔🙏
OMG😭😭😭😭😭
I think we can sadly say goodbye to summers. This is when we need to plan.
Your a hero mate. Your area should have been in the red zone!! Metservice needs a shake up !!!!
😢😢😢
God I'm so sorry..😥
One thing they do in America with hurricanes is have an axe in their ceiling space..
We Kiwis have to be prepared for anything now..
Let these poor people's misery and heartache be a lesson to us all..
🙏🙏🙏🙏🤝🤝🤝🤝
That's scary I see the mud so scary
Damn! what a nightmare
oh god help them pls
Big ups this guy and his family 🙏…but why couldn’t they just be 3 fellas from the navy I don’t understand why ethnicity is relevant…no one should get offended by it but it’s irrelevant…
