That wee human touch she gave him at the end was simply beautiful.
Yeah, he needed that. It flicked a switch instantly
Agreed. Definitely don’t see enough of this anymore in this silly “hands-off” world we’ve created. Sometimes interviews become so awkward when a grief stricken interviewee is left hanging.
She’s a real peach
@@camban couldn't agree more
Bless this man, I hope he can recover from this mess!
Bless you Warrick 🙏 amazed how you could articulate this experience so well sfter all you've been through! I sincerely hope you have a massive silver lining somehow and I'm so glad you are alive too!
Dear Trish and Warwick, it’s Karina (the girl in the blue van) here. I’m not sure if your phones survived the flood so I’m hoping my message reaches you.
As soon as I heard Esk Valley mentioned in the hurricane I’ve tried to see if I can find any information about you both. I’ve just found Warwicks interview with Stuff, and I’m so so heartbroken for you, but so happy to hear you’re alive. I’ve been thinking about you loads over the last few days but didn’t want to clog up the communication lines. I always talk about your wonderful hospitality and avocados to all my friends and family. It’s just so unbelievable what’s happened but please please let me know what I can do for you from down here in Christchurch, anything at all. Sending you both, and your family so much love. Karina x
I'm glad you are alive and thinking of you, sending you lots of prayers for getting back on your feet
My friend, I'm glad you are alive and wish you luck rebuilding! 👍
Yes bless you matua. So sorry you and your family lost your home but the most importantly you and your family are alive. God bless you
I’m sorry for your heart ache. Where to start with such wreckage... May God bless you with wisdom, strength & comfort.
more power to your wheel Warwick. Yes you're alive, your tenacity and strength got you and family to safety. The very same traits that all Kiwis have in abundance. You are going to need it all, so remember everything that was built and lost will be re-built, in time.
Oh my goodness. Damage like I have never seen. This will stick with them forever. I’m so sorry for what has happened to you and your families homes. I wish you all the best for you and your safety. Much love ox
We wish you Godspeed as you begin to recover from this living nightmare. We can’t even imagine the devastation even as we see the images appear on our screens.
How terrible to see the the distruction of this beautiful landscape. Heartbraking to watch. My thoughts are with you, stand tall!
Love from Holland.
I agree

This cyclone bypassed where I live while it was raging in areas around us I was out mowing my lawn in the sun...Luck of the draw.
Life is precious
But was the cat saved? The stories of people losing their animals has had me bawling.
Yes! Warwick carried the cat as they escaped.
Yes puts a smile on my face that touch at the end
Dear Sir Marshall. So glad you are ok. If only you had relatives in SA and want to come over you can stay with me in Pretoria for free as long as you needed. Love from Afirca.
Drive all these roads every day. So crazy to see all this destruction, looks like an entirely different place
Oh man i feel for you old mate. Hang in there guys, Kiwis are resilient!

Genuinely Gutted for the people of New Zealand hit by the severe weather. No doubt there Kiwi Spirit will come charging through and get things sorted soon enough #staystrongkiwis 💪🏽
That's nice Oli. Where are you from, friend?
1: 26 Oh shit, that's the powerstation? I thought it was just flooded, but it looks completely munted. Tear down and rebuild on higher ground is the only way
Brave man and quick thinker .

"Munted" only in NZ. A Primo report.

How very scary .. lucky for sure 🙏
Lord I pray please comfort everyone in N.Z who are affected by Gabrielle,
those who have lost their lives. Be with their families through these difficult times. Keep them all strong to keep fighting through.
Why is this not all over the world news ?
Because the earthquake in turkey was the big news at the time now they can focus on new Zealand they didn't mention America train derailment the worst environmental disaster FEMA hasn't been there believe me at least new Zealand is getting help I pray for those affected the problem with floods survival is harder to find but we hold out for a miracle
" Valley "
My condolences
( Historically )
Manawatu , Rangitiki River , Longburn ( Stockbank Broke )
Great Grand Father , lifted the house up wards by floating the house Five times
Water up the side of the house , house raised , next time higher level up the side of the house , etc... including water up to the window sills ....
Grand Daughter ( my mother when about the age of eight years old ) , now later recalls and relates a story of visiting , staying with her Grand Parents , being picked up and placed on a chair that was on top of a floating table ....
Houses have been built on the flat lands at the nearest end to Palmerston North
We laugh at the council decision , it will flood again
Keep going Guys
? Build a moat , Stock Banks around this house ?
Is This the house that was up on 1.2metre posts
Dig a colvert ( covered ) Kilometers long into the ground ..... tell the council that this is a least the standard necessary
I hope this helps
Work through
Plan , have some partys
Wow encredable
Wow the damage...
Really sorry to say in some of these videos is to keep out of the flood plan and build on higher ground, Bola and The big blow 1975 were notable size storms
Good you’re safe bro. Sounds like a rough night..
Aww😘😘😘

You have my sympathy.

Forestry slash in every photo. What the hell is going on ?
So sorry for you Mr. That's so ratshit man.
😭
It looks worse then Florida but I'm not sure it looks bad

Kia Kaha Aotearoa.
Please don't rebuild in Esk Valley. Have a look at the recorded history of the area. Its not a safe place to live.
global warming

I would Bet you havnt done a single thing to help a niebour this week.

@@mikedeverson788 have no idea how you deduced that from me just saying the words "global warming"... and its spelled "Neighbour" & "Political". I bet you have'nt done an ounce of research because your obviously an arm rest genius.
@@mikedeverson788 There is nothing political about climate change.
