    From the West Indies who have played cricket with the Kiwis over decades we extend our sympathy In this time of tragedy and loss that the people of New Zealand have been experiencing through these storms. Wish we could help. Be strong. God bless you all.

    I’ve been watching interviews of New Zealanders affected by the cyclone. They told what had happened to them and their property in such a calm way. A lady named Margaret, who can only doggy paddle, swam to get help to save her husband Richard. What brave courageous people ❤

    This is harrowing. Sorry to all that are going through this. So proud to be a kiwi seeing how well people are working together though in these tough times. Sending prayers and blankets/clothes on one of the Auckland trucks. ❤

    The personal stories I'm hearing and seeing sound absolutely harrowing. I grew up in Auckland and am now residing in the UK . I'm thinking of you all who have been affected by this. Please look after yourselves and each other and try and stay safe. Sending out positive thoughts, and better time's to come. ❤

      So true it is like this video collection from Hastings right Hawkes Bay where the cyclone Gabrielle passed by. The ranch farm communities they super flat terrains and some rolling hills easy hills.
      Most of them haven't got the seasonal workers programs back running efficiently like before 2020. They just open the last New Zealand to do with World Pandemic lockdowns they just the owners and some of their kids living there in the ranch farms. They nearly died and lost everything floodings so fast. No videos from them few hours before landfall to about some hours.
      Now videos just showing they back to their ranch farms again and no flood waters seen as receded Thursday video. The granpa was calling calling and they did not answer the phone calls because it was flooded with calls.
      Next time they should prepare well. The transhumance farming practice of moving livestock change of seasons in 4 seasons countries should be used when preparing for cyclones like that Gabrielle.
      As cyclone few days or few hours to make landfall. All flat terrain livestock poultry farms do the transhumance swiftly to the rolling easy topography where there should be a barn just for that cyclone flooding transhumance

      Yeah meself studied Geography New Zealand Relief Climate SOULS Vegetation and LANDUSE AGRICULTURE since 1993.
      .Transhumance is a word that most great ranch farms practice change of season it is good to be done during the storms cyclone seasons as well. As you guys going to save your livestock poultry as you all carnivores omnivores.
      Yours is the largest as well as Australia in Oceania South Pacific regions. You know Transhumance swiftly. You be okay 👌

    amazingly stupid of that man not to have moved his horses and sheep to higher ground BEFORE, especially given all the warnings that were recieved.

      Wonderfull hindsight. It came up so astonishingly quick and high. We are only used to Cyclone sideswipes not full on ones. Have some compassion.

      @nomadlebowski Рік тому

      @@juliaforsyth8332 i have enormous compassion, that is why i go without normal food in order to provide for rescue animals (on super, big rent....) guess i felt more for the animals....who totally rely on us. And we were given VERY out of the ordinary warnings that, when one has livestock, there was plenty of time to act on.sorry if i offended or hurt anyone, but the truth often does hurt.....

  • @tanyaroberson9629

    I don't mean to criticize but why didn't they get their animals to high ground earlier? Did they not get the weather forecast showing a giant cyclone was coming?

      From what I understand, the water rose really fast. Faster and higher than anyone thought. Also, you are judging, so take your hindsight glasses off and donate to their rescue effort.
