She is a quick-witted, strong-minded Kiwi hero with a deep love for her husband. High respect for her and blessings for the couple from a Chinese immigrant in Auckland.
She doesn't realize how brave and strong she is. Very tough woman. Not a hint of hesitation in those words. She was clear and direct. Hats off to you Margaret! So sorry for the loss of items but so happy you both survived and escaped unscathed. Definitely have someone watching over you guys.
The strongest lady I know . She didn't care about her feelings It was survival and saving her love, 76 ! What? I love how chirpy and determined she is ,that's true love
This is one true blue kiwi woman, and at 76yr she's amazing. What a great attitude. Love her to bits. Awesome. I bet her husband was happy to see her. Kiwis are the best and I'm proud I'm one.
As a lover of garden my heart breaks hearing her white hydrangeas and all her plants got destroyed. Man that is too hard to put a smile on the face but she still smiles it through, what a tough woman. Huge respect
Snap out of it. I hope I don't end up in an emergency with you. You'll probably get us all killed because you'll be more worried about your garden than human life.
what a courageous woman glad you and your husband are safe this just brought tears to my eyes and then there's people moaning that their power is just out , think of the ones that have lost so much 😢x
@@Tryagain563 good one lindy-lou, nice play on words. Nope born female and identify as female and proud of it. And yes that woman did amazingly well for a dog paddling 76 year old non swimmer, I would give her an award.
@@maude5160 Yes me too Maude. No one taught me when I was little that I "might really be a boy!" like they teach kids now. I knew I was female and I'm fine with that! So glad she rescued him!
What an amazing lady!! I am from Hawke’s bay, my husband and I were raised in Napier and just been heart breaking seeing the damage and hearing the stories from survivors. We had never ever seen anything like it in our 45 years of existence!! We were seeing videos posted on Napier news, of bridges being washed out and water up to roofs and we couldn’t believe what was happening!! We have been non stop warring about how everyone will be coping at this difficult time, loosing loved ones and their homes as well as their towns. We hope god gives you all strength to get through this. 😢❤
Margaret, we love you, you are exactly the kind of person I'd want to be with in an emergency situation, lady, you are awesome, thank God both you and your Richard survived. Sorry about your garden, I bet it was something special. All I can hear is your concern for others. God bless you and your husband!

Kiwis from this generation so down to earth. No blubbering and dramatization of events and the journalist has to nudge them to give more than a one sentence answer.
