man, I'm loving this build. I'm 50 now so these old school cars are my thing. I had a HR special when I was 17 and swapped it for an E55 charger, the good old days. can't wait to see paint go on.
As everyone else has been saying "WOW!" Truely amazing craftmanship that boggles my mind🤯. I only stumbled across your channel as being born in 67 I would love a HR ute. If only I had the money and you had the time... 🤩🙏
Excellent work. An old trick on HR's was fitting spot lights where the blinkers should be and fit an HD lower panel where there's are fitted. Only a trained eye would notice..........
I saw you playing wing with bonnet latch & thought i would share this with you i had hk a few years back & wanted something different with my bonnet latch so i went & bought an after market electric door lock kit did what you have already done done with HR made all opperate from underneath then i got 2 actuators & piggy back on top of each other i had to put them inside a peice of 50mm square to hold them firm but then end result was electric bonnet release i did have an emergency cable if something went wrong but never had to use it all i had was a button where the cable once lived ive just thought i would share this with you ive only just found your channel as im building a HD sedan & was looking at what others are doin anyhow look forward to seeing more of this ute & more of your cars cheers
is the AC a full electric system ? i'd like to fit this type if it is so i wouldn't have to have the ugly mess under the bonnet like the old type where did you get it from
Yes the A/C pump is electric. It does save room in the engine bay however they do need to be mounted close to the battery as they draw a fair bit of current. You'll probably need a bigger alternator as well. I hate to say it but these pump were sourced through Ali Baba. I'm yet to find someone in Oz that makes them.
What a fantastic video and voice over Got me hooked and definitely will be watching everything you upload, your description and skills are spot on Cheers Dave
