The edge lenght option is the most important thing in this video wow.
I have a habit of going through menus and even I hadn't seen this one. that's really cool
Look up the intergrated addon called MeasureIT i use it everyday.
There is also a plug-in to show the volume of the object, forgot the name. That plus edge lengths is a huge deal for designing 3D printable models.

okay but I had no idea that f9 was the hotkey to bring up the edit last operation menu
Oh that's what the smoothness value does! Love these videos!
Here's my tip, because I always forget the hotkeys for the loop alignments. It spells REF, like Reference or Referee.
Ctrl+R to add cut, E to align, F pick your face.
Honest to god, I have a button on my Loopdeck that brings up the homepage to your channel...because it's legitimately the best Blender encyclopedia out there! Thanks for all you do!

I don't often write comments, but I just had to thank you so much for this video. I am a CAD user by trade, and accuracy is very important to me when replicating objects. Knowing you can set a loop cut in metric rather than percentage is a major game changer to me. I'm just kicking myself for not figuring it out!

There's a way to view the length of edges at all times?!!! This changes bloody everything lol. I never knew this was a thing, I couldn't get into Fusion, I've been using Blender for years to do 3D printing stuff

The "Loop Cut" Tool was the hardest one out of Blender I've been trying to figure out for years on how to use. Glad I found this tutorial. I didn't even know what Loop Cut was until I found it out on Goole Docs and another video of a girl modeling Link from Zelda in Blender. :) I'm like, oh great there's that crazy ass tool again. LMAO! I am hoping to find others that explain more in depth detail since I'm a bit slow, etc while learning things. This tool will literally help me when I'm making my very first Keyblade for Kingdom Hearts 3. THANKS! :D

because everytime it resets to 0.0 after each use.

How can u only one side loop edge of the face?
how do you add a loop cut to geometry with curvature and still have it keep that curvature? in maya it's called "edge flow" but i can't seem to find the blender version of that.
That's what it's called! But it's an add-on you have to activate... ua-cam.com/video/pnK0GT3nOeQ/v-deo.html Not sure why it's an add-on and not just a feature.. that's Blender haha
I was so excite but I tried and pressing g then the axis to move won't slide the edge loop along.. it will deform the shape.. and if I press G then G again to make it slide, the number typed won't be a distance but it will be a percentage of the loop..
So for organic shapes or conical shapes the edge loop won't slide properly.
Until now I only found a paid addon that lets me type a absolute number for sliding edge loops in a even distance on any circumstances..
