I've always liked these little historical aspects with the blu-rays. The opening animation was a bit odd, but it was still very nice after that. It's also good to see Harry Lloyd back as well. His voice just works perfectly when describing the old valyrian histories.
No it isn't quality CGI like game of thrones is much much more expensive that high quality animation, each episode feels like a movie. It's much easier to make animation nowadays than it was before so it is definitely possible and i'd like to see it happen tbh.
CGI is indeed expensive, but its only used in some specific situations. The last season has a lot of CGI, but looking at the series as a whole, it would be more expensive to have more than 60 hours of animation instead of more than 60 hourss of live action.

I love how Casterly Rock and Highgarden are portrayed as absolutely stunning here, but in the show they were a little underwhelming to say the least. I understand that for the former they wanted to use a real castle, but I wouldn't have minded a bit of cgi to recreate the grandness that was always associated with those places.

What kind of a mind do you have to have to come up with an entire world and populate it with so many interesting characters? I have vivid dreams, very vivid dreams, and I am always amazed at how my mind can build entire cities and converse with characters that are a figment of my imagination. But to do it while awake is something else, entirely.
This was awesome. The voice, perfect. The animation...could be improved. If they can make a fully animated series, like the new Castlevania, but in the Game of Thrones universe...It's beyond words. And don't get me started on the Witcher world. Animation? Or better yet a TV Series like GOT? But not like the one already made....that doesn't count :D

I love Game of thrones, the show and books. But I wish that Viserys didn't die but just ran off after Daenerys ate the heart. The only reason is that knowing he was alive and possibly gaining and army to try to kill Daenerys would bring a lot more to the mix. And just maybe he went to Cersei to get her on his side. It would be interesting

The first season could cover Aegon conquering Westeros, and from there they could cover the Dance of the Dragons, the wars in Dorne, House Blackfyre (who doesn't want to see Bloodraven in his prime?) the war of the Ninepenny Kings, etc. It may be too ambitious and undertaking, but I'd love to see it happen.

KenSniper The Durradons were Storm kings before Aegon, so they did have a crown on the sigil, when Orys Baratheon took over the house and its domains he removed the crown because he was now a lord and not a king. After Robert Rebellion, Robert now king put the crown back at the stag and after his death his brothers and "sons" continued to use that crowned sigil because they all declared themselves kings

Bonnie Guardia casterly rock was ten times larger than the other castles in the show , for the show canon was great .
