I love that Visenya basically just parked right in Sharra’s yard, took her son out for a fun day, and they had a civil chat probably over tea. Shockingly wholesome… I mean aside from the fact that Visenya definitely kidnapped her son and played nice with him to terrify Sharra into submission.
I would have also mentioned the letter the Martells sent to Aegon after Rhaenys died. The letter he held so tight his hands bleed, and nobody knows what it said but that made Aegon abandon his plans to conquer Dorne.
Remy Blas "Dear silver haired pretty boy, Sniped one of your flying lizards with this big ol' crossbow, see you next time Sincerely, The country that just wupped you".
The way Aegon's described gives big Rhaegar vibes. "Skilled warrior, but took no joy in it ... Commanding presence, yet few close friends." Plus the way he was willing to ascribe to Westerosi culture and customs, leaving his ego at home, it really does feel like both of them were being driven by something more important than personal interests. Aegon's prophecy from HOTD fits the story really well.
@@patrickchristiansen1758 That's true, but if that were the case, we'd still have been waiting, and if Martin's version still had the 'Mad Dragon Queen' ending, the story would have been less well liked and there is a good chance no corporation would elect to spend millions on a high budget Television series. So we may very well have never seen this amazing show. We can thank D&D for this much, though unfortunately they were simply too ignorant of the real Medieval world (on which the GOT world is based), to write an intelligent story after Martin's writing stopped. They're basically just your average Hollywood writers thrust into undeserved greatness on the talents of an extraordinary writer, who will ultimately (I believe) will lose much of his popularity by the time the story is finished by the choices he will probably make.
I love how everyone in the Reach seemed fine with Bronn Whatever strolling in one day and being the Lord of Highgarden. The people in Westeros famously take kindly to strangers taking their land.
It’s even worse when you consider that the other noble houses of the Reach were pissed that the Tyrells inherited Highgarden. Even though the Tyrells were an established house that could claim descent from the Gardeners, houses Florent, Tarly, etc. were upset bc they had a better claim. And we’re just supposed to believe that these great houses are cool with some random ass commoner coming in and becoming their overlord? It’s been 2 years and I’m still salty.
Man, it still blows my mind. How did GRRM come up with all this in depth history and lore for each family and each castle for literally every generation going back like 5000 years from the year Game of Thrones is set in... so crazy...
An important thing to remember is Grrm didn't knew all this when writing the first book. He knew where he wanted the story to go, he knew all important houses, he knew important plot points but not everything we now know. He learned these things while he was writing a chapter and imagined a tiny history detail that would suit the scene or foreshadow something. I think people often forget how little a worldbuilding is done before writing the story compared to how much there is in the final draft.
The Targaryen origins in Valyria leading up to their escape before the destruction would make an epic prequel series. The rise of the Targaryens. Not mention we'd get a shitload more dragons.
To give you an idea of how strong the Valyrian freehold of ancient Valyria was; House Targaryen was a minor house. *Minor* . They weren't even a big deal and look how powerful they are in comparison to the Westerosi.
@@reubena7854 yeah but that one is specifically pointed out in WOIAF to be a one in a million shot coming from the dozens or hundreds of scorpions they had on the field. The way Euron just randomly bullseyes a dragon several hundred yards away from a boat in the show - meaning he had to not only account for the dragon’s movement but also the swaying of the ship - is complete bullshit
Yep. Valyria was literally unstoppable, no army ever made could pose a threat to the empire. The earth being the only thing that can overpower a dragon truly. If Aegon conquered Westeros with 3 dragons imagine Valyria in its height, thousands of dragons. The Rhoynar thought they could beat the dragons, and how wrong they were.
@@neolexiousneolexian6079 A scared and sheltered existence. When Valyria went to war with the Rhoynar they leveled their kingdom to the ground, and forced Nymeria and her ships to run. The real Rhoynar that are left get butchered by pirates and worse in the shattered remains of their land, while the Valyrians became kings of Westeros. Dorne is a descendent of the Rhoynar but not truly Rhoynar, and they knelt to Valyrians again after Daeron II. The Rhoynar are a broken people, and Danny (and Jon) is still alive so the Valyrians aren’t done yet.

Angel Gutierrez The books? Prince Doran Martell of Dorne had three children -- Arianne, Quentyn, and Trystane. Arianne -- the eldest child and heir; she planned to raise Myrcella (who was at Dorne, bethroted to Trystane) as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, using the law of Dornish inheritance as justification, with the help of her close confidants and without her father's knowledge. Eventually, the plot was bestrayed --- Myrcella was almost killed, Ser Arys (the kingsguard knight who went to Dorne with Myrcella to protect her) was slain, her friends exiled, and Arianne chastened. Later, Prince Doran confided her his plan to bring down House Lannister, avenge Elia, and destroy the enemies of House Martell. She was currently on way to Storm's End to treat with Jon Connington and the Golden Company.
with aegon,in the ck2 got the conquest doesnt take very long, for me it took 10 years of constant war,but that is mainly because the vale and the reach joined the storm king and that war lasted 6 years, while after the vale and the north surrender, the lannister, gardners, martells took a year each, all it took was going directly for their capital by boats and BURN THEM ALL
Aegon the Conqueror is one of my favorites because despite the way he took over, he was still a good and wise king afterwards. He made the Iron Throne not to show off but because he thought a king shouldn't rest easy.

Its like a whole other universe or a different dimension. How can someone make up another world like this? Sometimes I mix the GoT history with our own history lol
We could of had 12 seasons of GoT. It wouldn't be watered down either, the books are massive. We will get spinoffs though. You don't kill a cashcow like GoT. Roberts Rebellion has already been ruled out. They say Dunc and Egg is the front runner for the spinoff. The story of Duncan the Tall and Eygon (or Aegon) the 5th I believe. There are so many things they can go into, from Roberts rebellion 17 years ago to Valeryia 8,000 years ago to unknown and mysterious aspects of the universe that are still rich in lore like Ashia in the Shadow.
My name's stephen and i love blowing 3-1 leads got is based somewhat on real medieval history, with the main present plot being based on the war of the roses
This is hilarious watching in May 2019 after Ep 4 Season 8 of the tv show. The dragons have so far only been a form of transport, and only been in a couple skirmishes in Westeros.
Its not really her fault its the fault of her stupid advisors Tyrion and Varys who keep insisting she appeal to the people and not conquer as her ancestors did and look where it got her. She should have listened to Oleana and BE A DRAGON and just Conquer like she has been doing all over Esos cause once she conquered then she could have worried about creating peace.
I've read the books a long time ago, so my memory is abit hazy on that, but I remember all of Danys "old" advisors always telling her that hew greatest weapons were the Dragons, they always kinda lied to her that the Westerosi lords were supporting her, but I always took it as to push her to invade Westeros.
Ah yes season 7, when she loses a dragon, one of her most powerful weapons, when fighting the night king to save the lives of Jon and the rest. Also loses most of her allies to Cersei as she pretty much ends House Tyrell, captures the sand snakes and takes Euron and most of the Greyjoys to her side. Don't you just hate that she never loses? Makes her almost as boring as the perfect Jon Snow.
And yet even after her losses she's still only interesting when she's naked. WAIT hear me out on this I have a reason that isn't muh male anatomy. There are two interesting things about Danny's story line. First is the psychology of just wanting a home but being forced to continue forward by expectations of others and legacy. In the books it's heavily hinted at that she would be much happier throwing away her crown and living as a (very rich) woman with Dario. For evidence look at how often the symbolism of the house with the red door comes up and what it represents. you add in the fact that she's only 13-16 throughout the events also add some questions of agency to the mix how many of Danny's decisions are her own and how many are the results of pressure from those around her? If left to her own devices what would she do? After seeing the cluster that was Season 7, I don't really trust D&D to handle something like that without Dany becoming a screaming angsty teenager crying to the camera about her feelings in long dragon themed monologues. That leaves the second interesting thing about Danny, and that is that she serves as the gate way to the fantastic. Think about the portions of the Show that takes place in Westeros, its a well written character drama set in an analog to medieval England. Ok that's cool, now what do we see in the Danny portions? We see these crazy exotic cities, we see horse lords and warlocks and harpies. Show Danny isn't really interesting because of Danny but instead because of the things that are happening around her. When Danny is on screen that's the reminder that I'm watching a Fantasy show, and the scenes that best incapacitate this idea are her rebirth i.e the scenes when all her clothes are burned off and she's left naked as the day she was born. The books do this too, but it's just not the same as actually seeing it, ya know?
Callie Altair Jon snow was stabbed to death, I don’t think someone who easily gotten tricked into a trap, then stabbed to death, is a perfect character . He’s “lucky” he had the red priest to bring him back, unwillingly I might add
Selmy said this about Daenerys with her fire. “She wants fire, and Dorne sent her mud. You could make a poultice out of mud to cool a fever. You could plant seeds in mud and grow a crop to feed your children. Mud would nourish you, where fire would only consume you, but fools and children and young girls would choose fire every time.”
yeah but Quentyn still isn't that good of a King consort. Dorne is the weakest of the kingdoms with the least amount of men. even Jaime's a better choice even though Dany will never go for that.
@@pucheta9464 that’s a good point, they mention a few times offhandedly a westerosi force just can’t stand the terrain and heat, let alone contest guerrilla forces
Another difference between Aegon and Dany: Aegon had two sisters, who were able to control their own dragons. They could attack separately, in different places, etc. Dany can't do that, because she controls only Drogon, and the other follows him (well, at least until Jon's Targ side is revealed). So Dany can't make a strategy about her dragons, can not divide them: one goes with Yara and Theon, the other with the Sandsnakes, etc. It is a huge disadvantage.
worry not, dany managed to circumvent that problem. she lost one against the night king and another against euron who did a 360 no scope from 5000 miles away with his scorpion. if euron had been close enough to shoot that like a normal person dany would´ve seen him, because she was paying close attention since she definately didn´t forget about the iron fleet she was reminded about a few minutes earlier
Better to be with one group to protect than to sit on Dragonstone and do nothing all season. Actually Since the events of the show didn't happened simultaneously and apparently that dragons are so fast that she can reach and save Jon Snow in the far north in a record time, she could've participated in every battle in season 7 and make Cersei look like the fool she is. But, instead we have nonsense and stupidity with Daenarys taking too many Ls without doing anything about it
Honestly, Daenerys doesn’t need to. Take one seemingly impossible fortress, and the lords of Westeros, who are sick of the fighting, will probably kneel immediately
the Targs were only a minor family in Valyria. After the Doom they were the only real dragonlords left and thus the inheritors of Valyria's legacy. the Tudors were part of the royal family, just descending from a slightly junior female line.
It is pretty tragic, in a sense. They were the invaders, so it's not like they're the most sympathetic in this story, but apparently Aegon and Rhaenys were very close so losing her was especially difficult for him. And there is something about her being warned not to return, and coming back just to be shot out of the sky.
Aegon and his sisters are some of the most interesting characters. I mean we know little about them, but the little we do know about them doesn't mesh with what they did. So I would be interested to see more of them
There is plenty to know about them. 1 of the blindspots though is the relationship they have with 1 another. We know that Aegon loved Rhaenys but what about his relationship with Visenya both before and after Rhaenys got killed. And her relationship with Rhaenys as is was rumored that she was jealous
She is the least disappointing family member he has.. alot more piece of shit targaryens ruled before her. AND she offered peace and mercy to those who kneel, just like aegon. She also tried suing for peace in ep 4 . She's given the people their chance. I say burn kings landing entirely.. those "innocent" people aren't innocent.. the same crowd that cheered for ned starks head to be chopped off, same crowd that threw shit and spit at Cersei (even though she deserved it) fuck the people.. burn them all baby!
@@thenickfoxx While I do think Dany is one of the better descendants you shouldn't forget king Jahearys I the Old King, nephew of Maegor the Cruel, it os said that there were no better years in Westeros before or after then the his reing. The only real fuck up he did was made during his last years after losing his wife and most of his sons. Instead of making the daughter of his oldest son who was married to a Velaryon (Corlys if I'm not mistaken) and pregnant his heir chose one of his younger son's son all of this led to the famous Dance of Dragons with the Targeryan being split into two sides, both with dragons. By the end there was only two living dragons, a newborn called Morning owned by one of the new kings half-sister and another called something like Sheep Devourer or something, living in a cave near the Vale with his rider Netles.
The Targaryens did some good work in collecting good cards and had the best trap cards in the game then the Dornish had like 3 cards in their deck which just so happened to the only combination that could win the game.
If I had a nickel for every time a Tragaryen invaded Westeros from the East with 3 dragons I'd have two nickels... which isn't a lot but it's weird that happened twice
well... this is something aint it. One dragon left alive and i would wager strongly that the last dragon will either be killed or will be John Snow's after Danny dies.
she offered them mercy o they bent the knee and they didnt so she killed them and people are calling her stupid or crazy for that it pisses me off what else is she supposed to do?
Also....it tells that dany has lowest of the chances to win the throne as she hasn't done so many things that aegon I did for conquest....things like straight attack, quick action etc....she just wasted too much time planning and then this bloody idiot jon snow came to distract her
Dany has one major problem: the Dothraki. The people will rebel if they rape and enslave as they advance. How can she stop them from doing so? There's no real way to do it.
Lol Danny was the only person against enslavement in the east. Dothrakis are wild but they ain't headless. They're loyal, in fact, they're loyal enough to hop on the boat and head west for their queen. They sworn to serve and kill for her. If there is a person could control Dothraki, it is Danny. Lmao.
Zetta they think She is a godess literally.ä surviving fire and riding a dragon not even a normal horse. She could send them back to Essos. The Dothraki are her biggest problem if the she wants to rule. We will look out in season 8 who will survive.
I blame Tyrion and Varys for basically tying her down. If she had been a dragon she wuold have conquered Westeros by now and then worried about creating peace
@@homunculus7 It's not about the YAASS QUEEN SLAY it's about the many amounts of lore crafted by George RR Martin just gone to waste because the show's creators wanted big moments rather than a good story. Seems people who only watch the series are what George RR Martin despises.
Dany is so OP. Aegon had a few thousand men and few allies while Dany has 100k plus troops, The Reach, part of the Iron Islands, and Dorne. GRRM pls nerf in books.
I sense a huge nerf incoming this season. And hopefully a huge buff for her enemies in Westeros, cus the walkers aren't going to fill 2 whole seasons. Nobody can handle that much CGI. Things have been far too easy for Dany so far. Personally, I hope she turns evil and her army splits in two.
Yeah, Jon is just the male version of Dany. The more things become about those two, the more predictable and dumb it all gets. I hope to see it all get turned on its head. Let the Hound save everyone and become king. Let the walkers win. Let Jon and Dany kill each other. ANYTHING but...they fall in love and do reverse cowgirl in the iron throne.
I watched probably a half dozen videos before I found yours, and I still had questions on all of these topics. You effectively summed up everything I wanted to know in one video! Thank you so much!
It's kinda funny how the Valeryans all grew up and lived around all this powerful magic, imune to dragonfire, keeping an active volcano habitable through the raw power of their magic, but yet premonitions they don't believe in. I'm sure there was a specific reason for that in which grr had in mind.

Great video as always, I love the lore of House Targaryen and the series in general it’s incredible... Aegon sounded like a real boss tbh... I hope we learn more about the lords of dragonstone before his conquest also and what they were doing prior to his invasion of Westeros
Aegon was a beast, Dany hasn't got shit on him. That's why that "break the wheel" line was so stupid. Aegon was intelligent and was open-handed and merciful to those who submitted. He understood that it's better to make allies of your enemies. If Dany wants to know the consequences of pissing off more than two great houses at the same time, she should learn about her father's reign.
It’s kind of hilarious the way this story is told. “Thousands of Aegons soldiers were killed, the enemy got the taste of victory……annnnnd then the dragons burned everyone to ash and all was lost” 😭😭
I think that Daenerys would be a pretty good ruler. She is bringing the peaceful Dothraki to mantain order in Westeros and she is allied with the honorable Ironborn. who have never done something like tearing apart a kingdom just for power or loot. Also, remember that Dany learned how to rule by trial and error in Meereen, she didn't fix the economy and the social structure after freeing the slaves but that's ok because she left in charge a charming fuck boy and his horde of bandits.
i am guessing you're a jon snow / tyrion guy. But my opinion there will be no iron throne by the end. Tywin had more power in westeros than the last 4 kings.
Jaqen H'ghar I think Dany will go crazy, somehow Jon Snow's true lineage will be revealed to the world, Tyrion will jump ship snd side with Jon. Jorah will go to Asshai to cure his greyscale and get a smoking arm like Victarion has in the books, then travel to Westeros to be with his queen, only to find out she's gone mad and he'll have to kill her. Then the White Walkers incade and Jon unites the kingdoms to fight them, but he instead brokers a peace treaty. Having united the kingdoms and repelled evil the people will herald Jon Snow (who takes his mothers name of Stark) as their new King. But Jon will instead sit on the throne only long enough to disolve the monarchy and proclaim the seven kingdoms independent nations once again. Sansa will rule as Queen in the North from Winterfell, Arya will sail off around the world, Tyrion will retire to a vinard somwhere in the Reach, Bran will travel north of the Wall to become the Three Eyed Raven and Jon will return to the Wall and reform the Nights Watch.
+BlazerManiacNumber96 yeah no. The story shows no precedent for linear buttoning of loose ends in such a one dimensional 'everything works out nicely' manner. Predicting the nearly unpredictable is not part of the projected synopsis offered, so you are not taking into account what we don't know yet or don't expect necessarily...
Kerry Brennan The "everything works out" ending would be Jon and Dany unite to defeat the White Walkers and then they fall in love. I think the ending I proposed is fitting with the themes of the story. There is heartache, betrayal, a moral grey area.
One of the best, thorough and smart content creator on youtube. love your narration and the "mosaic" concluding look at the end of the video. Thank you!
Julian Smit dance if dragons would need way too much CGI it be so expensive. A TV movie is a better option. The best show sequel dunk and egg or Roberts rebellion

But he did get that promised ride and the Vale wasn't covered in fire and blood, so I guess they got off easy.
Yes, with three dragons, but according to Martin, the scales of dragons were too strong to be penetrated by any weapon unless sot in the eye, and even this could be avoided if they wore slotted steel eye protection like medieval knights and horses. Even Martin was a bit stupid in this respect when he wrote a Targaryen queen didn't protect the dragon's eyes from scorpion fire, so she and her dragon were killed. Of course she would have protected them.
@@danpeterson114 maybe, maybe not. armored blinders would limit the dragon's ability to fly freely in exchange for turning a weakness the size of a dinner plate on a target the size of a castle, into the size of a hand. the dragon's greatest defense is it's ability to avoid getting hit with its great speed and ability to keep distance. if it were wearing blinders it risks colliding with towers and walls while doing fast and low "strafing runs" on ground troops. a fate far more likely and fatal than a seige weapon landing a perfect shot on a very fast moving and small target.
@@MFenix206 There is a big difference between "blinders" which are designed to partially block the side vision of carriage horses, and simply a strong, arrowproof grillwork which would not restrict vision and is commonly worn by medieval knights and their warhorses as proof against arrows. The dragons appear to be intelligent enough to appreciate the protection so would tolerate wearing them as well. This is just one of Marin's (and HBO's) stupid mistakes caused by their relative ignorance of real medieval military technology. I have ridden my own horse in full 15th century armor type armor and the pierced eye protection does not restrict his vision in the least no more that if you looked out of a screen door.
@@danpeterson114 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barding looking at the image in the top right, it *does* restrict vision in the same way a helmet does for a human. how it would work for a dragon is difficult to say, and unlike horses dragons are a *bit* more temperamental and prone to eating people messing with their heads as well as "free spirited". Dragons are intelligent, but not sentient, and they only really tolerate their riders and no one else. I am of the belief they would despise such "protection" even then such a device would be exceptionally heavy for a singe human to put on a dragon. no way is a dragon letting a team of "squires' put that crap on them. there is also such a thing as "good enough" protection, hitting the eyes of a moving dragon with an exceptionally clunky *siege engine* is not just one in a hundred, it is one in a million. would horses have been armored if the only spot on their body that was vulnerable was the eyes? i posit that most people would likely not have bothered.

Well... if it's justified, you can't really be saying he uploads "too" few vids. We're all sad that he can't upload more than he does, but if he can't, he can't.
I do think Daenerys will have it harder. Dragons were underestimated during Aegon's conquest and when the true threat he represented became clear he had already conquered half the continent. The westerosi are familiar with dragons. Trying to hide in castles or meeting them head one with armies is futile. However with specialized siege equipment or clever traps they can be killed. There is also the wild card of John Snow who could claim greater legitimacy than her. Not only is he male but as the child of the crown prince he has a greater claim than Deanerys who is the sibling of the crown prince.
You, sir, are a genius. A dragon fell as you predicted, both Baelish and Bolton got murdered, and one dragon has entered the control of the Night King. I'd like to see the use of Weirwood arrows in the upcoming season and the books, I bet that's something we will definitely see.

Except Rhaegar never left his ego at home. In fact, he took his ego with him and amplified it to the point of causing a war.

We can thank D&D for this much, though unfortunately they were simply too ignorant of the real Medieval world (on which the GOT world is based), to write an intelligent story after Martin's writing stopped. It’s even worse when you consider that the other noble houses of the Reach were pissed that the Tyrells inherited Highgarden. He's spent the better part of the last 30 years building his world, similar to Tolkien with Middle Earth. Plus, being a good writer helps ;)
Well look at tolkien - creating languages like the elven one.
British history being a big influence as well
Nothing compared to Tolkien.

The books?

Ryan Borgeson hilarious... painful... antagonizing... 😂
Its not really her fault its the fault of her stupid advisors Tyrion and Varys who keep insisting she appeal to the people and not conquer as her ancestors did and look where it got her. homunculus7 There’s are others who are as well at fault.
The writers.
if she attacked right when she landed it would have been easy win.But awful writing by D&D ruined everything
Thank you for this great summary. I watched all of GoT without ever really understanding this backstory.
16:08 "the story would be boring if she doesnt lose at least one" you have no idea how true this is in the show (season 7)
lol Dany won't have much to rule when the Night King comes into Westeros for a visit.

It is a huge disadvantage.
worry not, dany managed to circumvent that problem. she lost one against the night king and another against euron who did a 360 no scope from 5000 miles away with his scorpion. if euron had been close enough to shoot that like a normal person dany would´ve seen him, because she was paying close attention since she definately didn´t forget about the iron fleet she was reminded about a few minutes earlier

dude, i have watched every vid you made the past 6 months and am little late on commenting on one of these. the content you put up is just insane, extremely high quality. Keep up the great work and i hope your commitment to consistency and quality become inspiriation for content creators to come.
Annnnnnnnnd it was super easy for Dany. All she needed was one dragon.
This was posted back in 2017 and just seeing how the GoT show has ended, I am really speechless. A lot of the doubts which you talked about Danny came true, plus more. Not giving away Spoilers.
I wish you were the writer of season 8 my man
Just coz he knows about it doesn't mean he'd write it well.
@@dng4679 At least it might make logical sense
"Dani will probably lose one of her dragons"
Is this witchcraft predictions?
He made a lot of predictions over the years, so at least few of them had to be correct
and another one
Also the Guerilla tactics, that shit took down Rhaegal😂
@@zayjivinsmoke2491 Lazy writing though as the bolts aren't meant to be able to pierce Dragon Scales, only the eye.
@@vamparush It's not lazy writing. In the time where dany fought in the Long Night, Qyburn constructted much more powerful scorpions after the prototype Bronn used failed.
Aegon burned harrenhal, he burned armies. Danny’s mistake was surrounding herself with people that sympathised with the enemy.
The lesson here: dragons always beats no dragons. Hope Cersei Lannister is paying attention.
Lesson #2: be a Vietnamese
Except for Dorne
She has a bolt firing vehicle. And Night king can enter dragon's mind. Maybe.
Though 3 eyed raven told Bran would fly too.. So maybe he also can.
But she wants elephants 🐘..
Yep boi
_durr..but dragons...durr_
i am guessing you're a jon snow / tyrion guy.
I'm seriously addicted to your content dude ! amazing and super informative as usual!
I would love to see another Game of Thrones spinoff revolving around Aegon's Conquest. In addition, dive into the downfall of Old Valyria.

One of the best, thorough and smart content creator on youtube. love your narration and the "mosaic" concluding look at the end of the video. Thank you!
Thanks, glad you enjoy!
I genuinely love how consistent your videos are, even after a couple of years
I think a Dance of the Dragons spinoff would do better than Aegons conquest because Aegons conquest is just plain destroying everything with dragons
It might become a bit repetitive, however it would still be cool
too expensive
Julian Smit dance if dragons would need way too much CGI it be so expensive. A TV movie is a better option. The best show sequel dunk and egg or Roberts rebellion
Yeah but dunk and egg sounds so non-appealing but it'll probably be the cheapest and therefore most likely option
Julian Smit It'd be dope to see those battles though. Would make Helms Deep look tame in comparison.
"how did Daenerys' ancestors take Westeros?"
With Fire, and Blood.
Later on a Prince that was promised named Aegon Targaryen VI would go on to say “I don’t want it”
I just wanted to take a moment and thank you so very much for all this work you put into this. Re-reading the books and watching your videos go so well together. I'm loving it! Hope George takes his time. It's so worth it.
The way this dude is explaining this, why hasn't this story been made in a show or movie series. It would be fucking Epic!
It woud be kind of boring though. "Aagon wins everything! The end." Isn't a very exciting story.
@@noahmay7708 no there can be politics , war visuals, epic battles, epic lines and tension. The epic music when aegon is crowned king officially and the reactions of westeros. If they make series on this i would love to see the changes in westerosi society before and after.
A show about Aegon the Conqueror is what I would love to see.
Well, as Young Griff put it, "If you want to conquer the world, you best have dragons."
Wolfeson28 Kinh Daeron said,"Here is your Dragon...."
@@kingjonstarkgeryan8573He said 'You have a dragon he stands before you'
I would definately buy an audiobook of Game of Thrones narrated by you.
damn man I've miss you! welcome back :)
the have to give us a spinoff about the taragaryens especially because of how season 8 is going :(
RHYS it‘s coming 😍
I love the threat Visenya makes to the Arryns, especially Sharra. "Reject our demands or your little son is landing ahead of us at a destination of my choosing... like a nice, hard rock or deep ravine." Pretty hard to argue against someone when she has your only child in her custody and your child is all excited about the big dragon. But he did get that promised ride and the Vale wasn't covered in fire and blood, so I guess they got off easy.
Not with Dragons that's for sure.
Danys dragons keep getting one shoted.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@danpeterson114 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barding
looking at the image in the top right, it *does* restrict vision in the same way a helmet does for a human. how it would work for a dragon is difficult to say, and unlike horses dragons are a *bit* more temperamental and prone to eating people messing with their heads as well as "free spirited". Dragons are intelligent, but not sentient, and they only really tolerate their riders and no one else. I am of the belief they would despise such "protection"
even then such a device would be exceptionally heavy for a singe human to put on a dragon. no way is a dragon letting a team of "squires' put that crap on them.
there is also such a thing as "good enough" protection, hitting the eyes of a moving dragon with an exceptionally clunky *siege engine* is not just one in a hundred, it is one in a million. would horses have been armored if the only spot on their body that was vulnerable was the eyes? i posit that most people would likely not have bothered.
New Alt Shift vid?! Well, my day is fucking made ❤️
Watched this only now and it was amazing that you were able to predict what Dany would become
D&D clearly don't watch these videos.
alt shift x is the best thrones UA-cam channel but it uploads too few vids
because he does his research properly and gives us a proper presentation of it, which will take a lot of time.... plus he probably has his usual job to go to... who knows...
takeitandgo exactly why he is the best thrones UA-camr
Well... if it's justified, you can't really be saying he uploads "too" few vids.
We're all sad that he can't upload more than he does, but if he can't, he can't.
Avran Abraham Radio westeros is good too. They have good asoiaf content
takeitandgo I hope he doesn't have a shitty day job like the rest of us considering he gets 5 grand a month from his patreon page.
"The Aegonfort"
Wowwww hands off to the team for amazing creativity 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
