    Amazing art anyway!

      @Prisoner 111 well its not step by step tutorial obviously. More an explanation of the technique. The most important is that its not 100% hand painted from scratch. Look at SOMuchDiffuse materials for substance. It streamlines the process of creating the strong base .

    • @hamstrissimo
      @hamstrissimo 4 роки тому +11

      3D coat have a brush engine similar to photoshop, so it have a better performance. While you trying to paint in Substance (the brush strokes is vector there) the more you paint - the more laggy program becomes. I was painting a lotta handpaint inside Substance so with Coat its a huuuge difference)

    Hello everybody! tell me, please, will there be enough blender for the same result? in substance painter the same can be done? I'm just starting to learn hand paint, I want to optimize the process, and do most of the work only in blender, substance

  • @Slotfan1

    Nice tutorial! Kind of a shame that the creation process of the planks on the side of the house and the pattern on the roof was not shown in the same way that the grass and rocks were at the end, as that was really nice to see.
    What I'm seeing is that what we 3D artists call hand painted, is actually pretty close to non-metallic-metal style painting from traditional art. It's taken a bit further in 3D with the exaggerated tertiary level of detail going into the secondary, less realistic but exagerrated proportions etc, but ultimately, just using the diffuse channel is NMM.

    at this point im just assuming that when someone has a tutorial called "hand painted textures" its not actually about putting your pen to the tablet and actually drawing textures on but just clipping and filling with gradients. i have been searching for tutorials for literal years on how to HAND paint textures in this program and i have not seen a single use of the brush tool once in the dozens of tutorials ive watched, im starting to think that you cant actually hand paint textures in sp
