NICE !!!!! Love a bit of Aerosmith and how good are you :) ❤❤❤ I agree ive never heard the original from 70s but yeh that doesn't sound like him AT ALL. #roadtoa1000subscribers ...... your getting there keep us the amazing work !
The studio version is a young Steven Tyler. His voice is much less raspy. And if you were a singer, you would know that tightening your larynx could produce a much smoother sound. That is what Steven Tyler did in the studio version of this song.
Steven has expressed in many interviews that when Aerosmith recorded their first album he purposely put on a different voice because he wanted to sound more “black and bluesy” and less angelic. You can find an performance of dream on in 1997 in Germany where he alternates between the two voices during the second verse. It was a stylistic choice. And definitely not joe Perry lmao, you should know better
I know it's not Joe Perry lol was just throwing it in there lol, I didn't know that's what he was trying to do. He failed but cause it does not sound black and bluesy but I will check out the 1997 in Germany, so cheers for that :) and thanks for watching 😉
How interesting! Yeah that original does not sound like him at all. I saw them live about 5 years ago and he did the intros for each band member. He also thanked someone that can't remember the name of for "helping out on the high notes." Yes you would expect a 70yr old voice to change over the years. I personally like the conspiracy theories. They have an astonishingly accurate record lately. ;)
So strange that an experienced singer singing live in his seventies sounds so different than he did 50 years ago on his debut in a studio. How unusual. In other news, water is wet. 😂😂😂. The inflections in his voice in the original recording make it clear that it's Tyler. I'm surprised that this is even being discussed seriously. Also, if you've ever heard Perry sing, you'd know there's no way in hell he could pull off this song. *Edit: you have a lovely singing voice.
Actually it's been a discussion for years, and he did say that of course the age gap will be different but he was comparing the vocal traits that don't make it clear that's the point. I'm sure he actually knows it's Tyler. It's just a discussion ❤
haha love itt i actually do know it was Steve but its such a different vocal to even the 80s tracks was what i was meaning but thanks for watching i always appreciate it :)
@@MiaStanley-xt3cp Yes, I know "it's just a discussion". As I said, I'm surprised it's being discussed at all. The notion is preposterous. And, if you're correct that it's been discussed for years, then it's been absurd for the same length of time. 💜
He sung the whole 1st album different than all the others. He has said that many times. Read "Walk this Way"!
I have since then mate cheers

Is it because Steven was only 17 or 19 at the time of the first recording?.
