    Seen them in concert in 2015. Steven Tyler is a true spectacle. Even at the age of 73, he can still hit most of any Aerosmith song perfectly.

    Steven Tyler has a one-of-a-kind voice! It was released in 1973. I also recommend these:
    Back in The Saddle
    Walk This Way
    Same Old Song & Dance

    I guess early in his career Steven Tyler didn't quite know how to scream hard for 10 years after releasing Dream On. Especially after listening to all of Dream On's recordings from their 1986 recordings to the present, I realized that his vocals have improved tremendously. In order to make such magnificent sounds in this performance, it is necessary to press the whole body very strongly. Strangely enough, he doesn't hesitate to use scream vocals in almost all of his songs. I think he has a fantasy for scream vocals :D

    Such a good song. The orchestra takes it to another level.
    A big fan of Joe Perry on guitar
    Yep, Eminem used it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
    Great choice Lizzie 😋😋😋😋
    Yep, Steven Tyler has got a great voice.
    The song came out in the early seventies.
    Funny you should mention Armageddon. Not only was their song in it, but Steve Tylers daughter (Liv Tyler) also stared in it

    Should check out Def Leppard Pour Some Sugar on Me. Notice the drummer is playing with only one arm, lost the other in a car accident and the band took a break to let him heal after he told to go on without him. 1980’s and 1990’s were when people actually sang prior to auto tune. Just hands down better music!!!!!!

  • @dahelsley
    @dahelsley 3 роки тому

    Aerosmith is a fantastic band with a large catalog of great songs. My wife and I were huge fans. We rarely went to concerts, but we saw Aerosmith 6 times over the years. Generally speaking, I was never a big fan of their older music (other than the obvious classics like Dream On and a number of others). My personal love of them started with Permanent Vacation in the early 80's. It's not that the older music isn't good, it just doesn't do it for me personally. That's why their last and probably final album, Music From Another Dimension in 2012 was a disappointing way for them to end their career for me. They went back to their roots and it flipped the ratio for me. Usually I loved nearly every song on their albums, but I only found 3 or 4 that I thought were great on that one (Legendary Child, for example). I still consider them to be my favorite band of all time.

    Studio version is the best for this. Or at least a 70s performance. Tyler’s voice was shot by the 90s

      What a crazy comment. He actually began to sing this how he intended in the 80s and 90s. A lot of the 70s versions aren't as good whatsoever.

  • @gmantw
    @gmantw 3 роки тому +2

    This version is cool with being live and an Orchestra, but nothing beats, or compares to the original track, off the 1973 self titled "Dream On" LP. His voice is already showing degradation here, and his screams are weak sauce, compared to 20 years earlier. This was my very first album, and kicked off my love for Rock. Thanks for the pick Lzzy, brought back memories of the early 90's, and 70's.

    • @infin8reactions
      @infin8reactions  3 роки тому +1

      Really? Oh I shall have to listen to some vintage stuff then 😁👌

    • @gmantw
      @gmantw 3 роки тому

      @@infin8reactions Seeing they have many LP's in just about each decade since 70, not sure where to begin with "Vintage". 🤣 Toys in the Attic LP had some hits on it, that's one of the older ones.
      Oh, Dream on had two versions. The single was released on a 45 lp, and was a minute shorter than the album version. Both was used by the label for Air time, and both versions had their own standings on the Billboard charts. It's also on the Rock & Roll hall of fame list of hits, that shaped Rock as we know it.
