How did I not know you can use your monsters as step-ups to high terrain?? I discovered this randomly last night, with a gryphon... blew my mind lol. I didn't know who else to tell 💀😂
This was very useful! I’m at end game now and 1 rule changes: replace your generic units with uniques at the end. Generics of course are still useful, but late game unique characters are just so much faster and stronger that it helps a lot in places like PotD. My 12 characters are now 11 uniques and 1 generic Terror Knight and it really makes the game just slightly easier.
@@TitaniumLegman hmm then again, Lich generics are easier to get than Ring of the Dead, and let's face it, Lich with Hellhound and Meteor 3/4 is kinda unstoppable :D
@@justmeok2 Oh you definitely can! I'd recommend then to aim for all your mage characters to become Lichs if possible, and all the melee and archers to be whatever you want, the game is not so super difficult that you become 100% stuck, but just in case always have a save file OUTSIDE of castles, etc.
Great tips! I don't know if its useful or not but I sometimes destroy the bushes (if there are any nearby) with rock throws at the start of a battle as they almost always have a buff card. You can also destroy trees and other larger obstacles but they take more than one hit.
Your videos have been so helpful. I'd just been blindly making my way through the game, only to learn there is so much more to it then I could have imagined.
I hoarded Mana Herbs until Chapter 4. I then crafted a whole bunch of Mana Seed+1s and didn't notice that the AI used half of them in training before I saved. So yeah, take stuff you don't want to lose off of units before AI training.
I actually like that you can't just buy a ton of magic items it makes the game way more challenging and if you do want some magic items you can farm them from Phorampa, I just put my peoples on auto and watch Battlestar Galactica.
I realized I missed the Ravness recruitment chance from Chapter 3 -as- I started Chapter 4 and I am deeply regretting not keeping multiple save slots the whole game- With that in mind, here's my own bit of advice: Keep Multiple Save Slots! Seriously, it'll save you much frustration.
@@ViolentHabits Yeah, but it's a notable delay on when I get them, and I'm on the Law Route where you -can- recruit her as is, and had done all the prior steps then missed the final one. It's a tedium issue/delay issue/I hate grinding and don't want to have to level her up in the post game issue. Not a life ending one.

they designate a certain number of tiles around a unit. any units in the opposing army can only move in to or move out of one of these tiles per turn. so if an enemy unit walks into a rampart tile, it can't walk out until its next turn. they are useful for making barricades that enemy melee units can't immediately cross into to get at your back line. the rampart shadow turns them into actual barricades by spawning a tile blocker on one of your rampart tiles. the siege ability let's a unit ignore rampart auras.
I'm guessing your referring to the Oz/Ozma fight in the end there? Sheesh. Me and friends were trying to recall if that battle was as absolutely insane in the OG as it is in this game. I really feel that the only way to win that battle is to be an OG meta gamer who knows to stack dragons, no healers, all salves, all DPS, and beast tamer lobber to breach. Took me a few attempts and I only was able to do it because Oz meteored Denam... who was standing next to him and he killed himself by accident. Ha. Feel like it could have taken me another 5 or 6 attempts before I really nailed the battle - and it would all be to luck as they crit like every other hit. I had Ozma crit and kill two people at once with Avalanche or Crag Fall, then Oz crit two more with meteor and killed them... Just an absolutely confusing fight. Every fight before and after it was a cake walk.
I wouldn't say that's the ONLY way. My healers were actually very important in my version of the fight, as they were able to help blunt the impact of Oz's AOE magic with Major Heal. The key for me was to start packing crystallized flames on all my characters to help reduce inflicted damage. Beyond that, tanky frontliners and buffs/debuffs tailored to the encounter are just the norm in TOR, and the difficulty spike in Chapter 3 is (imo) meant to teach you that before you get to Oz/Ozma.
Unfortunately, 14k is the views for this video, not my sub count. We are still at 5600 which is nicely ahead of the goal, but not quite THAT extremely haha.
Do you have any guides / tips for spots where you have found items on maps and also do you know if you can find items on maps in training? I don't think I've found any in training, though I could be wrong.
I don't unfortunately have any item location guides, as I don't know much about the item spawns myself. I can confirm that I've never found any items in training tho.
With only four skill slots I find myself getting lazy and just having an all-purpose skillset for most units so I don't have to mess with them before every battle, but those generally don't include pincer attack. Would you say it's a lot better than I'm giving it credit for? It just feels like a pain to set up, and the slot could go to another skill that increases damage or utility
Pincer Attacks are quite tricky to pull off consistently. Unless you’re using fliers, these attacks only go off if a unit is facing towards the attack (so in a counter attack) and the pincer is directly behind them. It’s essentially 1 free attack but the placement must be setup which often is impossible, I’d just use a different skill personally
Hello , im on chapter 4 and still using trident and friends level weapons... how to get better weapon and recipe? Ive done phorampa twice and got nothing 🤣
If you've purchased all of the weapon recipes from the shop, you're probably gonna need to go into the palace of the dead. I've heard that all recipe drops have been removed from Phorampa and moved to PoTD, tho I haven't gotten the chance to test it yet myself.
Actually, there is a craftable apple in shop you can make infinitely that restores 10% of mana and hp, making it a solid alternative to herbs
For mana herbs I feel like best is to craft them into more potent mana medicine, as you can just buy other ingredients.
Yeah it’s always better to just upgrade them. Because it doesn’t require more than one mana leaf to upgrade it, just some Goth
Combining terror knight's frighten with breach is my go to debuffs. Archers can one shot enemy from far away easily with these debuffs
Factually untrue, I've been doing my playthrough with one of these built, and the Archers still aren't hitting that hard.

Dang, i always enjoy using generics haha did the same in the Disgaea series
I do the same, and while it strictly speaking isn't optimal, it's absolutely viable.

Yes! Split it by 2 of 12hrs - mental health is so important!
Definitely something I'm considering.

Yea breached is great for taking out those ultra-knights you can barely damage, like Ozma for example.

PS: Hobyrim is a God of War in Reborn, god he's so much more useful than in the original or the PSP remake
Can't you get them using the caravan feature after you complete your first playthrough?

They often are emonte, that's where the challenge comes in. How to build your team to last, while picking apart the key parts of the enemy army.

that mana herb tho
used to always consume mana herb for supports on turn 1

You didn't mention +1 armor always grants wade, so everyone can go in water.
However, if you have lavawalk and wade, lavawalk overrides wade.

how do you not have two dragons on your team?

It does, just like if you'd used the item normally.

What ?
Why do you pause between words like William Shatner?
Sometimes for emphasis, sometimes it's just vocal style.
Christ, has it really just been over a week? Im like 45 hours in…
Week and a few days by the time I posted, yeah.
Simple question. How is HP calculated?
In terms of like, how much you get on level up?
what does that even mean lol
Best Tip of All: Don't Play This Garbage Game. The level gating/scaling completely ruins it.
Lol whatever you say brother.
bro can't strategize
The level cap is what makes the game fun and challenging bro. Maps often have an obvious point you can follow for an wasy victory.
While im against the level gating, the game is just amazing and all you have to do is advance the story/not grind. Give it a try!
