What the heck! Why haven’t I seen anyone talk about the auctioning thing before? That’s great
It's really not.
Your videos are a great reference point for TOR knowledge. Picked it up on a whim and I'm loving it. Can't wait to see how powerful the group can become
The Baldur Bow also has a chance to silence the target, and is the most valuable weapon in my arsenal.
Thank you for the guides. Here's a fun little tip you can cover. Positioning is important. Didn't put 2 and 2 together and had a ninja tail slapped right off a ridge into oblivion. Now my standard set ups always include a ranged unit that can crit for the knockback.
also adding that shielded units could also serve this purpose
Thanks so much for these tips especially recruiting stuff, which was hard to understand until I saw what you showed and explained.
Situational, sleep can be just as useful, or more so, than charm. Using a single spellcaster, I have kept certain enemies asleep for an entire battle. Particularly useful on tanks, as long as they're not in your way with things like rampart aura. Saves you from having to whittle them down while dealing with spellcasters or other units going for your backlines. Certain clerics will give priority to removing sleep, and sometimes a couple enemies will have an item to remove sleep.
Slow is not a replacement, but can be useful for things like bosses, tanks, and recruiting, as unlike sleep and charm it does not disappear on hit.
Yep I use sleep and in addition use petrify. Petrify is useful because you can still damage them and it won’t remove the petrify. Verrrry useful.
How is sleep useful for recruiting? You can't recruit an enemy while asleep.
@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme Never said you could. But you can sleep someone you want to recruit if you're struggling, deal with other enemies first, then go back to trying to recruit without having to worry about being beat up.
Very nice video, especially on the auction items that can be purchased. Subbed. Keep up the great work
Great video and tips! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for all the tips! Honestly, the last one you gave is the most helpful tip for me. I totally didn't know that you could recruit and retreat from the battle. I was so excited when I ended up FINALLY having a successful recruit, but then I lost a member of the party trying to finish off the battle. So I am thanking you in advance for saving me a lot of heartache. 😂
I’m so glad the tip was helpful!!
Awesome video as always!!
Caldia is a good equipment for mages if you need free charm. Also, you can speed up the animation/action on the option to play faster
I think luck affects your crit chance. The higher the luck. More often you crit
Unless it helps with drops or recruiting
It's not crit chance. That is determined by cards now
I did not know about the auction. That is a great tip. I will have to go and farm some monsters soon.
Much like in Pokémon, in in Total Warhammer. The answer is often throw more dragons at the enemy.
Just sent three up the middle against Leonar. They completely cleared the path lol
Awesome guide
Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Pretty sure the luck stat effects the loot that drops when you have the killing blow on a enemy.
The stats are lovely. I like this character sheets so much they blend together magnificently. Almost OP when you get cush in chapter 4.. Think luck is crits, munny, items and the like. Luck is a hard stuff to manage wish the info button explains more? I like even when the stats are hitting 100. Even pennies go a long way even with 100 stat bones backing ya.
Still think luck is like a secret accuracy? More likely to hit crits at 100% plus give you some extra dimes when your hitting guys. My theorey..
These are great tips, thank you. The crafting trick feels like straight up cheating haha. I'll use it accordingly.
good job!
The Luck Stat, if ots the same as the other games then it shouod be the following
Luck affects the chance a character will inflict a critical hit on an enemy. It also affects the chance that the character will dodge or block an enemy attack
This vid was awesome.
Keep the tactics ogre content coming
I appreciate the love!
Great tips! I haven't figured out anything with luck either...
it seems to reduces how often the character gets crits by enemies and maybe helps with your own crits.
Good work sir
Im pretty sure luck just adds flat damage to your attacks as well as affects the buried loot you pick up on certain tiles
by flat i mean +1 luck adds 1 damage and loot that you pick up from tiles all have like a range pool depending on your luck
thats how it works in the psp anyway
yo this rules! thanks!
For the orbs it’s worth keeping them as they are useful for creating some of
The best weapons.
You also need them to recruit a specific character.
Recently found your channel. Thanks for the information!. I do have a question. How does sanctuary aura work? It doesn't prevent undead from entering a space from what i see.
6:00 i actually recommend AGAINST knocking off all their clerics, knock all but one out and claer the map grabbing items, known random items, etc. THEN kill them. Clerics are weak fighters and in theory you COULD use them as a training dummy for your abilities.
How are they useful as training dummies? They have lower hp and defenses.
@itsgonnabeanaurfromme but they heal thenselves so they are perfect to up skills to cap. Lord knows I do it!
Already knew about the blowgun crafting... It's the fact I don't have to buy all of the materials prior to crafting that just blew my mind 🤯. FFS
Stun is op. Charm is easy to snap out of. Definitely using and abusing stun in my brigade...
Luck is solely for item drop rarity in the psp version. A high luck unit killing an ememy if a bag is dropped the luck will determine what it will be.
Thanks so much for this! Very helpful information. One thing that I'm still a little confused about is how the perma-death works in this version? I've never played previous versions of Tactics Ogre, but my understanding is that if a unit is down and the counter goes to zero they're gone forever? Previous versions seem to indicate something along the lines of a 3 "heart" system.. but I don't see anything like that here. Also.. anyone know if a unit is still recruited at the end of a battle that they die in? Since most recruited units are low health I instantly panic and focus on healing them up so I don't waste all that effort recruiting them only to have them die at the end 😆
thats my fave game... i subs
I can't believe it's really that easy and quick to make money lol
Not sure if it’s a bug, but I’ve found several cut scenes that didn’t play during normal course of game, but I was able to watch in Warren Report. Like Cerya being captured by Ozma and Oz, and their henchmen
Same with ravness death
Oh............... what a loop. I've been selling all my old armor. But ooph. Crafting myself blowguns after this.
The fruit of the adept os insanely good on a Griffon
and maybe just maybe, lucky increase chances of this auto skill use activate(just theory)try increase the cartoo lucky to see any change if possible.
In the original tactics ogre LUCT, the luck stat started at 50. and luck cards could increase or decreas between -2 to +2 to a maximum of 100 and minimum of 0? or 1? the stat affected your chance to crit on enemies and chance you will get critted. with low luck stat you wont crit and will be hit with critical strikes more assuming enemies had the base 50 stat and you have less. I am unsure how luck stat works in reborn however but i assumed it was similar but ive not tested it yet
Definitely not the same since crits are based on cards or skills now
Thanks for the video. What about the Wheel of the Fortune when going to warren report?
What is its purpose, how to use etc. thank you
Good question! I only just recently beat the game myself so I’m still learning what to do with the Wheel in the warren report.
Prior to beating the game you can go back and view the scenes you previously experienced.
After you beat the game, you can actually go back in time to choose different outcomes
@@FetchQuestsYT that is awesome, thanks
nice guides, one question when is crafting start??
Ch 2. The exploit is chapter 3.
@@stevenwillis7516 you can do the money making in ch2. After Qadriga Fortress.
@@willh1655 thanks for the correction!
i heard luck is for better loot from bags and finding items on the ground.
lucky on previous games was, critical hit, sucess effect,(poison charm etc)and on psx version was used to give the cartoon chance of defending ,evasion sucess rate, on ps5 probaly this has changed lot for better or worse.
Success rate for spells is mnd. Crit and chance skills trigger is what I thought it was for
@@IrradiatedOne ok
If I wanna level up to unit lvl I go to train and put everyone on AI mode, automate battle message and leave the switch for a few minutes, rinse and repeat
i know this is late but i think luck just affects how often auto skills go off
I ate a dragon steak in battle but I didn't see a change in the unit's STR or VIT. So it probably only increases the stat by half or quarter of a point.
You’re exactly right. They’ll increase 2 stats but you’ll need to use 2 or 3 before you see stats increase
the PSP version, each time you eat a comsumable or pick up a tarrot card, the game rolls the dice, the chosen stat will increase/decrease by 0.1 to 0.5 point each time, randomly. Not sure about the PC version thou.
Ok so not positive but in Knight of Lodis 'luck' (some called it biorythm) affected lvl ups and in March of the Black Queen and Lordly Caliber it affected drop and crit rate... it also used to change hidden treasure stuff...
So you could in theory get max stats with some stats in chapter 1 through the auction?
I believe you can still recruit with silence. At least monsters you can.
For money make and sell baulder blow darts. It is infinite.
Anyone know where does teleportites drop? Need them to craft palace guides
I think luck helps more green cards spawn. i'm not 100% about that though.
Boost items last for the entire match. I like to use Spiritstone for my casters, it’s the equivalent of the Areion Plume for magic, Meditate seems to proc very often. Ozma with double attack and mighty strike is better than her using finishers ;) mighty strike always procs for both hits.
Ozma hits SO hard with her double attack, great tip!
Nice I'll have to try that out!
19:15 Catiua spoiler "look away for 20 secs"
Me - mutes the audio, waits the time, but also reads the new class - facepalm -
"oops... well he did say look away, not mute" haha
can I keep auctioning Monster to get stats food , then pump Denam into a 999 stats monster ?
Charm is not Int but Mind dependent iirc
Yeah I thought this too.
i have way of george but baldur blowgun is not showing, how i get the recipe ? any idea or isue like me before ?
nevermind i glitching with other blowgun XD
RIP Berda the younger
I just started Chapter 3 and I haven't recruited a single unit yet. Is that a problem or am I not really that incentivized to do so yet? The game hasn't been remotely challenging yet so I don't see the point.
Not a problem, I don't use any recruited characters. I just recruit them to get there gear if it's better than what is available. Plus I'm trying to get 1 of every unit. Story characters are much better anyway.
I want more FFT and tactics ogre please? Metal slug tactics is taking forrreverr and I think they're secretly going to rpg numbers lessons to not eff it up? I don't know how these D&D stat sheets get OP quick...
at 14:00 to 15:00 does the stat boost remain after battle? it's not very clear if it increases the stats permanently or just in battle.
Permanent
luck maybe the items you find randomly in battle?
IMO:
Sleep > Charm (for melee characters)
I’ll charm an archer 100% of the time, but a melee character will be “un-charmed” as soon as they get hit with a counter.
But if you put them the melee enemy to sleep they are out of combat for several turns.
can kachua buff Luck to max if you drag the game ?
luck is critical chance, also I have noticed using catuia's lucky star, true crits can be achieved without a crit card with enough luck boosted up.
From what I experienced, *High Luck grants occassional crit and also protection from enemy crits*
I tried with a Ninja equipped with the stinky armor set that gives negative luck. Noticed that despite an enemy having no crit cards, the ninja would occasionally take a critical hit.
Meanwhile, I got Cerya as a Shaman and equipped the Alluring Set which gives bonus luck. With summons, sometimes one or more of the hits are crits.
Baldur blowdart mad hax
Only thing I've seen luck do is give a very little chance to crit.
I've heard that luck also affects recruitment success.
That would be amazing! I’ll have to check that out, thank you!
***Update***
Just tested this myself, maxed out Luck on one unit during battle and didn’t change Luck on another unit.
Can confirm the recruitment chance was the same for both
is Ozma a reference to RWBY!? :D (best anime hybrid ever made)
Does charming a unit increase the chance to recruit them?
No, in fact when they are charmed you are unable to recruit them. The charmed status needs to be removed.
@@FetchQuestsYT That’s really bizarre. Thanks though.
In the PSP version, there was a stronger charm called "Bewitch"
Not only difficult to remove, victim loses loyalty over time. Which makes recruitment easier
Never played the PSP version only the PS1. This is fun so far but way too easy compared. No worry of death etc. Not to mention the majority of the Unique weapons and items.
how to recruit vulture?
I found a Necromancer on one of the non-story maps in chapter 3 I believe. Just used the Recruit skill (human)
I thought status effect spells were based off of Mind, not Intelligence. Intelligence is just for damage spells isn't it? Mind raises healing a bit, but the increase is so low that it's not even worth considering for healers. It basically heals 1pt for every 10 mind. Better off keeping a defensive ring on the cleric, or nothing at all so they can cast Quickness sooner.
Also, Charm is great, but it's not worth using as long as there are any enemy clerics on the map. They will always remove it on their turn. If you can charm the last remaining cleric (or kill it) first, that's great, but otherwise at most it will cause an enemy to lose their turn if they go before the cleric does.
But where ozma is not dead?
How to unlock AI option in training?
It happened for me and I’m still in Chapter 1 but don’t remember when. Keep playing and it should unlock soon for you.
@@adammcclure8034 i Just unlocked It in chaperter 1 after defeat necromancer
Increased luck provides more green cards.
Ailment accuracy is Mind, not Intelligence dear.
Not sure anymore some ppl say MND is for the % chance of debuffs but you saying it's int ?
it is, INT is for magic damage
Why can't I recruit a Fairy Rogue?
They removed the ability to recruit rogues, sadly. No classmark for rogues either
Luck increase crit
Umm, wait a minute. You get these dragons to betray their masters, then you sell them off for steaks?
the infinite money technique has to be made on purpose otherwise its cringe
I rly don't like the grinding in this game. So much farm to craft, permanent stats boosts that can be infinite in theory.. rly cringe game design.
I just played triangle strategy and this game is 100x better tbh
How many shills for this game. every time one of these big developers raise a zombie from the ground, many money hungry shills pop everywhere
Lol, Blue eye white dragon
